Lost keys found in Richmond, Virginia.

Well spring has sprung and calls are coming in now. Last night at 10:30 PM I received a call from a young man who told me his fiancé lost her engagement ring at the beach by the volleyball courts at Spanish Banks. After talking and listening to the story, I felt it was important that we got there sooner than later. There’s a lot of people detecting these beaches and around volleyball courts.
We were set to meet just after 11 PM, I got to meet the lovely couple and hear their story and they showed me the area they believed the ring was lost. They were only engaged for four months so you can imagine how she must’ve felt to lose such a beautiful ring. Both had very little confidence they ever see it again.
They even purchased a Metal Detector online, but after a bit more research, they found out about TheRingFinders and called…I have over 50 years of metal detecting experience and I can make searches look easier than they are and I also love to surprise people!
This search only took approximately five minutes before I saw it in my scoop, and was able to surprise this lovely couple with such a beautiful ring that the young man picked out with the help of friends of his fiancé… Very crafty!

May 2nd, I got a call from Sherry telling me she had lost a set of keys while weed eating around her house. She said she had a hole in the pocket of her pants and didn’t realize her keys had fallen through. She also said that the grass was about 8 inches high. We agreed to meet and I set out on the hour and a half drive.
When I met Sherry, she showed me where she had started her weed eating that went around the trailer. The grass was probably thigh deep and I started detecting as well as doing a visual search. About half way around the trailer, I eyeballed the key ring with 15 keys nestled down in the grass. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find a pewter charm that was also on the key chain that had evidentially come off the ring. None the less, Sherry was grateful to get her office, house, car and various other keys back.
Sherry – Thank you for allowing me to help find your keys.

Heather and quite a few friends decided to spend the day on the Barnegat Bay. They had rented pontoon boats, three to be exact, and headed out onto the calm waters of Barnegat Bay. They decided to go down to a local boaters hangout called Tices Shoals. It’s a beautiful area on the eastern side of the bay with a beautiful white sand bottom. They were doing the normal things that you would do when you’re out on the water like throwing the football, jumping off the boat, swimming, floating around in tubes, etc. When Heather looked down on her hand with total shock, her beautiful engagement ring and wedding band were gone. She was positive they were there just a few seconds earlier, so it had to have come off when they were throwing the football. The three pontoon boats were anchored up very close to one another, and they knew exactly where they were when they were throwing the football. They looked for quite a while and had no luck. That’s when they decided to reach out to me to see if I was available. They told me they were in the same location, the boats hadn’t been moved, which was fantastic. I asked them to mark the location with the GPS and send it to me. I could be there in a half hour. I grabbed all my gear and my wetsuit and headed out. They were quite a ways from the beach, roughly a half a mile walk. When I arrived, they showed me where they thought the ring had come off, and that’s where I started my search. As with most party spots, many items are dropped in the water, which makes it hard to do recoveries, due to the amount of targets you will come across. I spent about 45 minutes in the one area and had no luck. I came up alongside of a different boat, and I recognized the person who was a very experienced boater. We talked for a while, and I asked him about the wind direction, what it was doing earlier in the day. He said the wind had come around about 180 degrees, which meant the boat was nowhere near the location where the rings came off. The water is a vast area, and as the breeze changes, the boats can swing all over the place. So I made a few adjustments. We pulled the boat around the other direction. They had said they didn’t let any anchor rope out. So that’s where I started my next search. I had Heather stand there as a marker, and I worked between her and the back of the boat. About 10 minutes later, after starting the search in the proper location, the ring was in my scoop, and Heather was in total disbelief. As a matter of fact, nobody in the party could believe we located the ring. Water hunting is extremely difficult, and gps locations are almost a must for success.

I received a call about a worker who lost his ring while digging and working around some irrigation pipes. The boss took me out to the area and I started to get to work. This could have been a much dirtier job and was thankful that my experience helped me find it fairly quickly. I gave the boss the ring and he picked out a hot pink Lincoln Ring Finder shirt that he feels the employee is due him for losing his ring.

Jay was doing work in his yard when later he realized his ring was missing. The hunt started after he found me on line and we met to discuss the details. The rest was history after a search that included the Manticore defeating the emi in the yard. Its always an honor to put smiles back on faces.

*** Mathew called me after someone saw him searching for his Gold Wedding that he lost in the grass. He was at a local neighborhood soccer field watching his daughter play. His ring slipped off his finger after he had put sunscreen on his daughter.
The loss occurred in deep grass where he was sitting on the side lines. The ring could not have gone more than10 feet from his chair because he had not been actively throwing or moving his arms much. The soil was very wet under the grass and if the ring got stepped on, it was certainly not visible.
Matthew called me after locating my services online. It took me an hour to drive to Culver City, one of many cities in the county of Los Angeles.
The ring was found shortly after I met him at the field. It was actually as I suspected, out of sight in muddy roots of the grass under his chair.
Another happy person that was relieved to have his ring back where it belongs. The recovery took less than one and a half hours from the time Mathew called me.

NORTHERN N.J. — Rachel was working hard to get her backyard ready for Summer when she noticed her platinum wedding ring was missing from her hand. After a thorough search of her yard, she reached out to NJ Ringfinder Bill Leasure to assist with the search.
Bill asked Rachel some preliminary questions to rule out common places where it may have been left. Upon arrival, Bill matched the signal with the ring’s pair and within minutes was pulling the ring out of the inner leaves of a plant near some newly-placed mulch.

After a weekend of yard work and an anxious night of worry, Ringfinder Bill Leasure recovered this ring for Rachel in NJ.

Carly contacted me about finding her grandmother’s signet ring. She lost it in a vacant lot while tossing an ice bag to a friend. This was one of the fastest ring finds I’ve ever had. She put me right on top of it and was very grateful to have her special ring back.
