Lost Mens Gold Wedding Band Bournemouth Beach Part I

photo (2)Mr & Mrs R Spivey of London returned home very sad after losing a personalized engraved wedding ring in the sea off Bournemouth. The warm July weekend and large waves attracted many bathers and sadly many lost items of jewelry resulted. My first attempt was impossible. High waters, ripping current, large swell and waves made my attempts over the next three days very difficult and the likelihood of recovery almost nil. By some miracle, after a total of nearly 5 hours searching …. that ring found me! The couple were both over joyed and made a very kind donation to the air ambulance.rich

Lost White Gold Ring Studland Beach, DorsetHoliday maker Mrs L Smith from Oxford lost her beautiful matching wedding band in the soft white sands of Studland. A quick visit to the beach office to report her loss lead her to calling me at the Ring Finders. I arrived in no time, switched on my machine and found the ring in under 30 seconds! If only finding every ring this quickly was possible?!  Mind you….. would it be as much fun??

Lost Wedding Band at Jericho Beach, Vancouver

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received a phone call from a friend that I work with that told me that his friend lost his wedding ring at Jericho Beach when he was swimming. He goes on to tell me that he’s at the beach the next morning searching for it because his friend couldn’t be there as he had to work… Then it hit him…I know  a guy who finds lost rings! (Me) He tells me that his friend had lost his ring while they took a swim and that he was married for over 25 years so it was extremely sentimental.

I happen to have the day off so I rushed out there to help him find his friends lost ring. When I get there the tide is slowly coming in and he shows me an area where he believes the ring was lost.

After 10 minutes of searching I found a silver native carved ring so I popped it out of the sand and left it were it was found so I could come back and film it. Later Marty goes to move the bag closer to shore and see’s the ring. He thinks its the native ring that I told him I found the day before at that beach…I told him that I found that one but I thought that he told me that it was a white gold ring that I was looking for…

Well we decided to call his friend to see what his ring looked like and this was the match! I don’t get to meet his friend but here is the picture of  a good friend, who did what he could to do to help find his buddies ring for him…

He also made a donation to my charity(Children’s Hospital) because I wouldn’t except anything for my time…Thanks Marty!!!Lost something? Call me ASAP!I love my job!

Found Ring Selah Washington, Yakima County

I was out hunting an estate for lost treasure and was just wrapping up the hunt when I received a call for a lost ring. The women had tossed the ring out of her car window onto her front lawn to make a point. Then to her dismay she could not find it again.

When I arrived the search area was a 30×30 foot front lawn. After a few simulated tosses of my test ring out of her car I began the search. There were many targets but after about 15 minutes I found a very steady signal in the same range as hers. I was fortunate to have a matching ring from her husband to get a good signal and screen number.

Sure enough the ring was there under a few blades of grass.

I like hunting for the rings and like the smile from the owner when I find them even more.

Thanks for the call out.

Lost Key Found, Yakima, Yakima County

The key to finding a lost item is knowing where you lost it. Sounds simple enough, and this one was. I received a call about a lost car key. The young lady had been sitting under a shade tree and when she got up to leave her key was gone, fallen out of her pocket. It was her « spare » key to boot and so it needed to be found.

The search area was very specific and had been searched on hands and knees well, with no luck. After searching for lost rings and keys for awhile I have come to realize grass and dirt are very good about swallowing them up. So with the search area in front of me, I simply went straight at where she had been siting. On the first pass I had a strong signal and found the key.

I had a previous search that I had said was my shortest, but this one will now move into first place.

Smiles all around.

Thanks for the call to hunt for the key. Always a good time.

Lost gold rings minnesota recovery

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Michelle and Ron were out swimming at a friends cabin on lake Ann. Michelle noticed that her Engagement and Wedding band had slipped off her finger. Ron tried to locate the ring in the water, the water has no visibilty and the rings came off  approx. 4 -5 feet deep. He couldn’t find them, as it is nearly impossible because the weight of gold sends the rings into the muck or sand and they are completely covered immediately. Michelle searched for help on line and came across the ring finders web site. When Ron contacted me and told me the depth, I knew I had better bring the scuba gear. I searched the area Ron showed me in the lake for approx. an hour. I started to search just a bit deeper and heard that loud tone for gold. Out came the first ring, I circled the area and didn’t come up with the 2nd ring until I circled about 10 feet out from the first ring. The rings have a special family meaning to both Michelle and Ron and I was was glad I could help them out on this find – Take Care and Happy Anniversary, I know you said it was coming up soon!!!

Lost 14kt. Gold Ring/Family Heirloom at Dewey Beach, Delaware: Found

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

On 07/14/13, I received a phone call from a young lady regarding a lost 14kt. Gold Ring that had been lost on the beach in Dewey Beach, Delaware. The ring turned out to be a family heirloom. The ring had been given to my clients aunt for her 21st birthday by my clients grandmother and because the aunt did not have a daughter, she passed the ring down to her niece (my client) for her 21st birthday. The ring was lost while playing volleyball on the beach, it flew off of her finger into the sand as she was hitting the ball. My client and her friends searched the sand for the ring for about an hour and they were unable to locate it. I was then contacted and asked to come out to look for the ring. Upon my arrival, I searched the area were they said that they believed that the ring had came off her finger and had fallen into the sand. The search of that area turned up only a few coins and no ring. I decided to refine my search to the area outside of the area that I had already covered. I walked about ten paces to the north to begin the new search and as soon as I took one swing I got a familiar tone. The ring was then recovered and returned to its rightful owner who was very grateful for its return.

Lost ring in Miami

  • from Miami (Florida, United States)

If you stumbled onto this blog/website because you lost a ring (or any type of jewelry) in Miami, Miami Beach, Hollywood or Ft. Lauderdale,  or South Florida you came to the right place.  What we do here at « Theringfinders.com » is we are a group of metal detectorists who help reunite people with their lost jewelry.  I am located in South Florida and do most of my detecting and retrieving on Miami beach (in and out of water).  I also can detect parks, lakes, backyards, campgrounds, and playgrounds… Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me, time is of the essence when it come to finding your lost object.

Below are several of my success stories

Last weekend I received a frantic message from Ana explaining how she lost her ring down on Miami Beach while visiting family.  I had actually just gotten back from trying to help another person look for their lost ring (this was an all day event, on a boat and underwater).  It was 7pm already and the light was fading, I was exhausted, and I didn’t know if I had enough natural light left for an easy dry sand hunt.  But I figured if I didn’t make it out there quickly another metal detector would surely find it.  So I raced back over to the beach and met her and her husband, two young lawyers.  I asked them to use their sandals as corner post so I could grid the area.  By this time the sun had just set and I had to use a head mounted flashlight.  Although she wasn’t sure if she even lost it in the sand, I knew if it was there I would find it.  So I started to grid off there area and came across two coins, knowing the tones of the coins and read out they give I skipped over them.  I don’t even think panic set in for her because after just 1 min of searching I found the ring.  When I showed her the ring she thought I was lying (I myself couldn’t believe how fast I found it).  This was my fastest find to date (Disclaimer: finding lost jewelry in less than a minute is not the norm:-).  After several hugs and a very generous reward we all left happy.  Below is a picture of the happy couple after she got her ring back.  I was so glad I could help them, they were so grateful and kind.

Below … After labor weekend we were contacted to find a wedding ring 14 ft down in a private marina in the Florida Keys.  After a good three hours fighting through the silt and boulders my friend Chris was able to find it.  The couple had only been married one month and the ring had been sitting down there for three weeks.  They were more than ecstatic when he pulled it up.  They had been trying on their own for those three weeks but had no luck and were close to giving up.  ANOTHER RING REUNITED !!

Below is a happy customer who just earlier lost a special ring her Grandfather gave her just before he passed way.  Her friend found my info on the internet and called me and told me her friend lost a ring as she was disembarking from a friend’s boat in the Coco Plum Marina.  It had fallen into the murky water right next to the docks.  I was used to searching for rings on the beach and ocean, so this would be a first for me, and boy was it a different environment.  Visibility was a « O » and  the floor had about 12 inches of silt.  But after about a half hour of pulling up beer tops I finally got her ring!!! Boy was she Thankful.

One month later I get another frantic call from a guy in WISCONSIN of all places that his wife just lost her 1 ct Diamond Tiffany ring.  The funny thing about this story is that she was just stopping by Miami on her way to St. Petersburg.  She decided to go to the beach before her next flight took off and managed to lose her ring while she was walking around the back area of the Diplomat.  After playing phone tag with her and her husband I was able to meet her out on the beach.  He had already booked a flight to Miami because he was worried about the ring so I needed to find it fast in hopes he could cancel his ticket.  It just so happened that she lost it on one of the most windy and stormy days this November and I was sure I was gonna be able to get in the water.  Luckily she lost it high enough in the wet sand that it hadn’t been sucked in the ocean yet.  This was another quick find and another satisfied customer.  She was so embarrassed that she managed to lose her ring during a few hours layover, but was relieved because it didn’t ruin her trip

Same story different day…..except this time a friend lost and engagement ring and felt soooo bad.  I received a call from a woman wondering if I could find a ring she lost in Ft. Lauderdale the night before.  I told her theres a good chance another person metal detecting has found it but ill give it a try.  She said she was on her hands an knees until midnight searching through the sand.  When I got there the beach was crowded and I couldn’t find it between the blankets, but everybody was very nice and moved their stuff for us and now a circle of spectators was forming.  It had been a while and I had gone over the spot they told me for a good 15 minutes with no luck.  So I decided to look a little down the beach where the tractors drags the dirt and sure enough it was in a pile of seaweed. When I found it everybody started clapping and she collapsed to the floor and started crying.  She then went on to  tell me the real story behind the lost ring…. which I told her would remain a secret:-)

Its April again and now the calls are coming in.  The images below are of Lizeth on Hollywood Beach who was on vacation from NJ. She called and said she lost her custom Diamond wedding ring on the beach after putting on sunscreen.  She too said she spent hours on her hands and knees looking for it.  I told her just don’t move and I’ll be there in 45 min.  46 min later she and her Husband were thrilled because it only took me 1 min to find it:-)  I love those quick easy jobs.  Especially the ones that help save a couple vacation.

Yesterday I received a phone call from Alexander asking do I still locate lost rings. Yes I do, how can I help you. He told me the story of his wife to be Stacey, sitting by a tree at UVIC and taking her ring off to put lotion on her hands. She placed the ring on her purse and as soon as she was finished she got up to go for some lunch, then discovered the ring was gone.

The ring was platinum and my PI machine did not hit on it, I returned in the morning after a 3 hour search the night before and after 30 minutes bingo the missing ring.

I text Alex a picture and he phoned saying « Are you kidding me »  I will be there in ten minutes, after a few very happy hugs and some pictures he left to reunite the ring with his fiance Stacey.

Thank you for the Awesome Reward.

Lost Wedding Ring in Kelowna Returned

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)

Email received through Ringfinders.

I was so happy to come across your info online. We live in Kelowna and this past Monday,My Husband and I were playing football in the water at the beach. We were wrapping up the game to go dry off and I said….”okay last throw honey”. He went to catch the ball and his ring went flying off into the water as well. We looked for close to 2 hours. I went and borrowed a mask and snorkel and we did a grid, and had people helping us, but to no avail.I`m hoping your metal detector can help? We know the exact location it fell. We are only married just over 6 months and I`ve spent the last two days crying. The emotional value, With the engraving is so special and I hate thinking that its gone. We were in shallow water, Up to our knees standing, the ring is dark grey, tungsten carbide ring with the engraving “worth the wait”. Is there any way you can help? It would mean the World to me!! Feel to reply to my email or call me. Thank you Ken!! I am sure you can help.

The returned Ring brought tears to the wifes eyes.
