It was a very hot day, temperature 105 degrees as I was home trying to keep cool I receive a call for help in regards to a lost diamond ring possibly lost in some hay in the barn. The young lady told me that there was a few places it cold have been lost but the one place she felt it could be was the barn. Her and others searched the hay but no luck. Its like looking for a (Ring in a Haystack)
I jump in my car and head out on a little over an hour dive to get to the location. When I arrive I was greeted by Bev and her nephew (great young man). We went to check her vehicle first and nothing there. Bev walked me to the barn and minutes later she had her beautiful diamond ring back on her finger!

It was a hot Sunday evening when I got a call about a lost wedding band at Wreck beach, I listened to how he lost his ring in chest deep water and that he was only married 3 weeks and how important it was to find it. I asked him what time he lost the ring and checked my tide table cart and if I left right away I could get there and still have a chance to find it before the water got too deep.
It’s important to act quickly as there are a lot of people now a days searching low tides in the mornings. So I headed out and met the young couple and we headed down the 500 steps to the beach to find his ring. They showed me the area in around waste deep water and it only took around 20 minutes to locate.
I never get tired of seeing peoples smiles when I put that ring back in their hand!

I was out visiting my grandson on the Island when I received a distress call from a young lady who lost her diamond engagement ring at Kits beach. I listened to her story on how she lost her ring and how they searched but couldn’t find it, I could tell she was very upset and that she thought she’d never see it again.
She went on to tell me that she was calling me from the airport and she was on her way back home from visiting Vancouver. She also said that she was getting married in 3 months, I asked her if she took any pictures of the area on the beach where she had lost the ring and she said she did and sent them to me.
After taking a look at the pictures I knew exactly where on the beach she was, I told her that I’d be there in a couple of hours to find her ring. I headed back to Vancouver after a day with my grandson and went directly to Kits beach. I found the area she lost the ring and started my search, after 20 minutes and the good signal I was looking for and in my scoop was her beautiful engagement ring!
I was able to send her a text message with a picture of her ring and when she landed back home In Saskatchewan the first thing she saw on her phone was a picture of her ring. The next thing I did was go to Fed-EX and ship back her beautiful engagement ring.

I just finished a successful recovery for a man’s lost ring at 3rd beach at Stanley Park when my phone rang with a US area code. The first thing the young man said was… Are you TheRingFinder guy? Yes I am I said, thinking I was going to be giving him a number to one of my American members, then he said he was at Whistler and his wife lost her diamond engagement ring at a photo shoot near a water fall.
I listened to the story about how she took off her ring and put it in her shorts as she was climbing down some big rocks, down to the water fall. When she got there she pulled off her shorts and when she put them back on she noticed her ring was not in her pocket. Her husband searched till dark for the ring with no luck, his wife was very upset and cried all night.
The next morning Cole went online to look and rent a metal detector and that’s when he found TheRingFinders directory and called. He told me the hike down to the water fall was around an hour, he also sent me pictures of where Allie took off her shorts as he thought that would be the likely area the ring fell out.
I could tell that it wasn’t going to be metal detecting friendly as there was some big rocks in the area. He was desperate to have me come out on Friday as the two of them were leaving town on an Alaska Cruise ship Saturday. The only problem was I had to work. After a long discussing I decided to take the Friday off and head out to help the young couple.
I drove 1 1/2 hours to Whistler and met the young couple and drove them to the water fall. We hiked for close to an hour and arrived at the spot they believe the ring was lost. I used the detector in a very small area, but no signal. After rethinking the search it was inevitable that we had to pry up the rocks in the area and look underneath them. Cole found some nice thick branches that we used to pry up the rocks, after 45 minutes it wasn’t looking good and that’s when I moved a sizeable rock from the area, as we were sitting talking I put my pin pointer into the hole and received a signal, then I put my hand into the hole and grabbed hand full of small pebbles and « Bang » there was her beautiful diamond ring in my hand!!!

Stevens Point residents, Allen and Debbie Baker, were camping at Wisconsin’s Kohler-Andrae State Park on the shores of Lake Michigan August 12. Allen set his heavy tungsten wedding ring on a towel for safe keeping on the beach while he was swimming. But as they left and the towel was gathered up with the rest of the Baker’s belongings, the ring was inadvertently sent flying into the dry sand. Despite their best search efforts, the love token eluded discovery.
Debbie contacted me on The Ring Finder’s directory of metal-detecting specialists. After an hour’s drive, we met on location just as the sun was setting and I prepared to search the area where they had spent their afternoon together.
It didn’t take long for a strong signal to register in my headphones and a quick recovery followed. One wedding ring—reunited with its owner! Mission accomplished!
This ring find began when I got a call last week from the 4 Seasons Security. I was told a local gentleman named Chris was swimming in the lagoon with his son and somewhere on the North side his ring came off. My first hunt walking and then on scuba didn’t produce a Palladium ring. Then yesterday when I went back for a different ring hunt I popped onto the Palladium ring near shore more towards the center of the lagoon. Sure enough when I contacted Chris he came over and comfirmed the ring was his. It fit perfectly. Another very grateful customer. Aloha to Chris!
This very nice couple lost the big diamond part of their engagement rings while doing yardwork and gardening about a week ago. Understandingly they have been extremely stressed out over the loss. Her hands were wet washing dirt off her hands and moving yard tools around. She was scooping dirt and throwing it into the garden bed and afterwards noticed part of the ring was gone. When I spoke with him/her she thought the ring could be between the garden and shed further east in the yard. As we made arrangements to meet today she mentioned it was their 3rd anniversary today and wouldn’t it be nice to find the missing ring.
I agreed to come by and before I arrived they re-inacted what they thought happened by throwing a silver ring with gemstones in the general trajectory of where she thought the white gold ring went. So now I had 2 rings to find!
We all searched along the fence and nothing came up so I started in the garden and right away the silver ring revealed itself!
They were amazed and felt this was giving us hope the gold ring would be found as they said they searched the garden bed and nothing came up. I visually extended the line from where she was standing over and past the silver ring and started my grid search. Nothing in the garden but just outside the garden 20 feet from the silver ring I got a clear +14 on my MXT meter I knew from past searches this was the range of where this type of ladies white gold registers at! Using my Garrett carrot I scanned and got a nice tight spot and the vibration of the pinpointer said look here! Under the grass this really pretty and sentimental ring shined upward at me! As you can see they both were so relieved at having the ring back and can move forward with happiness as the wedding is planned for spring 2019! As for today tho I strongly suggested a celebration!
And in fact should celebrate all month!
Carol contacted me through the ring finders web site. She was picking up rocks in the water near her dock and throwing them onto shore . I believe it was for a landscape project. A few hours later, she noticed her wedding ring was missing. The only thing that made any sense, it must of slipped off in the water. I arrived at Carols lake home and we discussed where around the dock would be the best area to search. I dawned my scuba gear and jumped in. It only took 10 minutes or so and I heard a great hit on my metal detector – The water visibility was terrible, so I grabbed a hand full of sand and rocks and waved in front of my detector. The object was in my hand. Slowly removing the other debris and brining my hand right up to my eyes, I saw the twinkling of the diamond. What an awesome feeling to find a lost valuable like this. 14 years ago, Amber was styling a friends hair at her home in Minnesota. She took her rings off as usual, though this time, her 2 year old daughter saw that shiny diamond and decided it would be fun to play with. She went outside to her play area and returned with no ring(of-course) – Now back to the present. Amber & her husband are having their yard scraped and re-graded in a week or so. Amber thought it would be a good idea to look one final time for that lost wedding ring before it is gone forever. She found me on the ring finders website and we set a day for the search. I was there for approx. a half hour collecting the usual suspects (pennies, foil, pop-tops etc.) when I got a familiar deep tone. I knew this hit had a good chance of being the ring, I dug about 2 1/2 inches down and there is was. Beautiful Gold Diamond ring. Shiny and bright as ever, just a little dirt on it.
