While detecting a local park, I found a 2018 Grad Ring. It had a date, the school initials, a first name and initials. I called the ring company and the school and neither were able to help. In the end, I connected with some students that attended the school at that time and was able to find out who the ring belonged to and in turn, I was able to contact her through Facebook. Here is that return video.
Alex, his wife Andy along with their two adorable children were vacationing for a few a days on Navarre Beach. Alex was careful to put his wedding ring in the beach bag before playing with the kids in the sand on Sunday. Some where in the outing his ring fell out of the bag maybe while removing something or perhaps the bag fell over. In the mean time the kids were having serious fun digging in the sand. Alex was an Army Vet whose last duty station was in Alaska, had since separated and now the family lived in Tennessee. So as you could imagine, the kids were absolutely loving the beach. Andy called me Monday morning to see if I would come recover Alex’s ring. I said I would and arrived about 10:30. Both Alex and Andy showed me the area they were at the day before, but maybe two thirds of the areas sand looked like the kids had dug holes filled some, made mounds and generally had a great time in the process. As I started my search they were still digging. After 30 minutes or so and digging several targets, a fish hook, a stainless bolt, a piece is iron, a couple of pop tops and a a hair pin, I got a encouraging signal but it indicated it was almost off the scale deep. I dug anyway. The first scoop came up empty, the second try I pushed the scoop as deep as it would go. As I shook the sand from the scoop I could hear something heavy shaking around. I smiled and that tipped Alex off that this target was a good one. I reached in and handed his wedding ring to him. Everyone was all smiles. As I like to say, no more worries and no regrets, time for the vacation to continue!

Received a phone call from Dave about how is wife Johanne had lost her diamond engagement ring in the backyard while fall cleaning a couple days ago. This ring was gifted to Johanne from Dave’s mom many years ago. So off to Kingston I went on this beautiful sunny thanksgiving day to find her ring. This had to be the fastest recovery ever. Turn my detector on, did a couple swings of the coil and voila, her ring was found. Another very happy ending.

Mike lost his white gold wedding band while taking out the trash at his home in Spring City, PA. He immediately realized the ring slipped off his finger but couldn’t find it on the ground. I met him a little while after we spoke and started to search at the location of the trash cans. Thankfully, the ring was quickly found under some boxes next to the cans!

I got a call from Shane, he had just lost his wedding ring and was unable to find it in the sand at the beach. I was available and told him I would be there as soon as I could travel the distance and find parking.
When I got to the beach, I found Shane who was at a beach party with friends, and they had marked off the area of the loss with about 20 tennis balls which I thought looked pretty cool. Nadia contacted me regarding her husband’s lost wedding ring. He had been out in their back yard gardening when after he was done realized his ring was gone. They scoured every likely place it could have been including their house, but it was nowhere to be found. We arranged to do a search.
I got to their house, and Nadia met me to show me where to search. She showed me the yard and pointed out the areas her husband had worked. I began at one end and began working my way across the yard. I was hearing a lot of iron which is normal for houses because of the construction process. I then heard a good signal in one dirt patch, and with the pin pointer was able to dislodge a real nice hammered gold wedding ring which I was later able to hand to Nadia’s husband David. They then told me they had only been married for just a few months. Another happy day for sure!

Bryce called me for help in finding his lost wedding ring that he had lost earlier that day in the sand at the beach. Bryce is a local Los Angeles Lifeguard, and had been doing his daily exercises in the sand, and realizing his ring was on his finger, he thought to take it off and put it in the pocket of his board shorts securing it with the attached key leash, and made sure he zipped the pocket closed. Unfortunately somewhere along the way during the workout his pocket opened, and the ring dislodged itself, and was gone. We worked it out for me to get there as soon as I was able, and I was on my way.
When I got there Bryce and his wife met me out where the loss occurred. Bryce went over the possibilities, and showed me where he had performed some of his exercises. We decided to begin where he began, and I started my grid of the sand. One pass, then one signal, I dug, looked in my scoop and nothing. I swung my coil over again signal still there. Dug again, and there was his ring. I held it up for them, and they came over very happy to see it again. They have been married just shy of one year. Bryce told me the ring had been his Grandfather’s, and to lose it was a great loss for him. I was happy to be able to bring out that smile for him by being able to hand his ring back.
