Lost Ring in Backyard

 • from Knoxville (Tennessee, United States)

I was contacted by Dustin after he lost his ring. Dustin said his ring came off after tossing some muck from the pool skimmer over the railing behind his pool. He remembered hearing a sound like the ring hit the concrete. There were a few small trees and lots of underbrush to cover the ring. After I was shown the area I went to work working in sections. Almost 5 minutes later I found the ring.

Lost Ring Doing Yard Work In Haddon Hts, Found By Dave Milsted

Bob contacted me through my website, asking if I could search for his lost ring. He had been doing yard work, and when he went to Loews for more supplies, he noticed that his titanium wedding ring was missing. We were both available this Saturday, weather permitting. We are expecting 4 days of heavy rain.

Saturday morning was gloomy, but the rain paused; we now have a fine mist. I met Bob at his house. He showed me his work area in the front of the house. He had planted some flowers and placed about 2 inches of mulch. If it is not here, it could be in his backyard, as he made several trips to his shed. I asked if he had searched his car, and he said yes. He also searched the parking lot at Loews.

I got started, and he returned to the house to tend to his 6-month-old & 2 large dogs. I did a quick check of both flower beds and noticed there were a lot of iron targets. This took all of 5 minutes. I dug a few, and they were old nails. So I need to slow down and make a much more thorough check.
About 10 minutes later, I got a signal under one of the bushes. I dug down about 3 inches, and there was his silver titanium ring. I took a few pictures and knocked on his door. Bob came out, and I asked him if I could search the backyard toward his shed. As he was answering and trying to figure out why it wasn’t here, because he was sure this was where it would be, I held up his ring, and when he finally noticed, the look on his face was priceless. I had asked him if he was in the dog house because he had lost his ring, he said no, but his wife was disappointed. She will be happy again.
I love my hobby!!

Carlsbad Metal detector Ring Finder help in San Diego

 • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

The Ring Finders Metal detecting service helped find a lost gold ring at a Carlsbad beach. Call Curtis Cox 760 889 2751

Here’s another quick search and easy recovery of a lost woman’s gold wedding band in the beach sands. Megan had lost her ring the night before and contacted me to see if I could help. Fortunately I live nearby Carlsbad Ca, So I met her husband after work hours to the location.

They weren’t really sure when it disappeared just that they parked in the dirt “Turn around” parking lot then walked down the cliff path to the shoreline. Trouble I have experienced with these calls are too & from areas with compact dirt,Pavement & public goers passing by where a Gold ring would shine,be seen and picked up. Only one of these search areas in the photo below was worth hope or even turning on my Metal detector!

So I had him bring me down to where they hung out for a bit on the dry fluffy beach sand…Well…Sure enough,,,I turned on my machine,,It beeped and with my bare hand scoop I unearthed this precious wedding band. They were very relieved and thankful for my help. This search took less than a minute to find it..But really it just takes one phone call to Curtis Cox 760 889 2751 ((The San Diego metal detector service.)) Member of TheRingFinders.Com

Lost Rose Gold and Diamonds Engagement & Wedding Rings at Waimanalo Beach…FOUND!!!

 • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began Sunday when I received an email from Zuleyma saying, « We decided to play volleyball in the dry sand yesterday and when I hit the ball up my ring went flying in the air and I didn’t notice until it quite literally left my finger and we tried to search the area but none of us had any luck. Also ironically I was recording us play while it all happened so if I zoom in I can see my rings flying up in the air high, but cannot quite see where they landed. » I responded, call me immediately as I wanted to hunt ASAP knowing she posted on Stolen Stuff Hawaii and informed the Lifeguard. Oh no! The entire metal detecting community is going to be there. We decided to meet at my home and take one car to Waimanalo Beach not knowing what parking would be like on such a beautiful Hawaiian Sunday. When we arrived the place was busy but we had no problem parking. Zuleyma’s husband Jan helped review the video to determine the search area. To my surprise the beach was really clean until I got closer to the tree line which was choke full of metal undesirables. With no luck in the first grid we moved North. After no luck there I reviewed the video myself and we all agreed we were in the correct location and all the trees in the video lined up. I moved closer to the tree line as it appeared the ring may have traveled more in that direction. No luck again. After an hour this was getting frustrating especially for Zuleyma who was about to call it a lost cause. Time to break out of the box. Since we had the North South location confirmed by simply watching the video of the flying rings I told Jan and Zuleyma to give me just a little more time going East and West through the grid and to expand out just a bit further towards the water. Also as you know sometimes the aspect of the target can hide one direction and pop on the other. I could see the hopelessness in their faces so I was praying this would work. As I started toward the water I went much farther past where the ring should be then did a 180 to head back the other way. Boom! Super loud unmistakable sound on the Nox. One scoop and there is the Rose Gold and Diamonds Wedding Band in the scoop. Wait, what? I’m completely out of the grid and probably even past where the phone was recording the volleyball game. Zuleyma couldn’t believe it and came running over with tears in her eyes. The beach goers were hooting and clapping knowing how long we had been hunting. We hugged and I said, « Let’s get the Engagement Ring. Thankfully, only a foot away the next Boom on the Nox and one scoop later. Mission complete! Elapsed time 1.5 hours in the hot dry sand. The only thing we could figure is the ring although appearing in the video of going straight up and down in fact went up and straight towards the camera if not flying over it as we lost track of them in the video on the down fall. You never know for sure until you find the ring. Much Aloha to Zuleyma & Jan.

Lost Tungsten Wedding Band at Malaekahana Beach…FOUND!!!

 • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find came in on Thursday when Margo found me through the ring finders site and texted if I could find her husband Donovan’s tungsten ring at a beach campsite. I assured her I could and we agreed to meet early Friday morning when the campsite opens so she could show me the area. Margo took me to the site and showed me the area around the shrubbery. She explained Donovan was wiping the sand off his hand onto his pants when his ring flung off into the shallow grass, sand and shrub area. I turned on the Nox and the first target boomed. I looked down and there smashed into the sand was a round object and when I picked it up it was a gray tungsten ring. I showed Margo the ring and to her delight she thanked me for finding it so quickly. Elapsed time to target 20 seconds. I actually made it to work an hour earlier then I projected. Aloha to Donovan & Margo!

Wedding Band Lost in Colona, IL…Found

 • from Bettendorf (Iowa, United States)

In late January of this year, Ryan lost his wedding band in his back yard. We had just gotten several inches of new snow, and Ryan had been clearing the snow from his driveway, sidewalk, and deck. Ryan’s hands got a bit cold and his wedding band slipped off without him realizing it. It wasn’t until he was back inside his home when he noticed that his ring was missing. I received a call from Ryan’s wife, Kate, who asked me if I could come out and look for Ryan’s ring. I told Kate that I would be at her home within an hour.

I arrived at Ryan and Kate’s home and I was given a tour of the areas where Ryan had been working. I grabbed my detector and began searching for Ryan’s ring. I searched in all of the areas where Ryan had been working, but due to the amount of snow, cold temperature, and additional target signals, I made a decision to stop the search. I informed Ryan and Kate that I would return after snow melt and when the weather permits.

Fast-forward to yesterday, Saturday, April 29. I arrived back to Ryan and Kate’s home for a warm weather search for Ryan’s ring. I began retracing my previous search area in an opposing grid. Within about 30 minutes I hit on a solid signal in the grass. My trusty pin-pointer located a white gold wedding band. It was at this moment that Kate was coming out of the house for an update, and I asked her if this was the ring that Ryan was missing. Kate was very happy and I will never forget the expression on her face as I handed her Ryan’s ring. This is the best part about what I do as a Ring Finder.
