I recently received a call about a sentimental diamond earring that was possibly lost in the backyard at her home in Solana Beach Ca.We scheduled a time later that day & I showed up promptly with tools best needed for the Job to perform this particular search.

Before I began I asked Lisa a few detective questions to increase the chances with my Metal Detector,She had the other earring so it enabled me to know what the exact ID# signal that I would focus on.

Soon enough,I got a clear matching beep & was able to locate this Diamond earring hiding in the grass less than 15min upon arrival with out digging a single hole and while bypassing all other metal objects buried beneath the soil.

Lisa was very relieved & grateful I could help find what she thought may of been lost forever.

Lost University of Pennsylvania Ring Found in Haddon Township NJ By Dave Milsted

This story starts 47 years ago when a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania Nursing program loses her graduation ring in the ocean in Stone Harbor. She has never forgotten that day.

5 months ago her best friend gave her a gold necklace to melt down to make a new ring. The ring was made and worn every day since.

This week the ring was loose on her finger so she put it in her coat pocket. When she got home she shook dog hair from her coat and heard the ring hit the cement. Her yard is yellow with zoysia grass. The yellow gold ring was lost. Her husband spent 2 days on his hands and knees looking through the thick grass with no luck.

He searched the internet and found me. My wife and I went to their house the next day. They told me their story and I went to work. I searched the area that they pointed me to. No luck. I moved to the other side of the sidewalk and bingo.

10 minutes of search time. The ring is back on her finger. She will be going back to the jeweler to have it resized. My wife made a new friend. She did not want her picture taken.

I will be searching for the original!!

Lost Tungsten and Palladium Ring Found In Yard In Sterling Heights Michigan

During halftime Saturday between Michigan and Michigan State the pictured man and his children hit their backyard court for some 2 on 2 hoopin’ and during the excitement as he caught the passed ball with feet up off the ground to slam dunk his tungsten palladium ring flew off.
Minutes were ticking away before the second half of the real game was back on and as he sat down he noticed the ring missing. So for a couple days he reenacted what was going on and couldn’t find the ring. Part of the trajectory they thought put the ring out into the road area and a grass island.
They even raked up last Octobers leaves and still no ring. When I talked with him Tuesday night we agreed to meet today and go over the area with my metal detector. He was at work and was going to be on his way so a relative and I went over where they thought the ring could be. It didn’t take me long to sweep the area in question with my bigfoot coil but nothing came up. The relative went back into the house for a few while I thought out a new strategy. Since I covered where they thought it could be I thought maybe someone saw it in the street and walked off with it. But my feeling was to check back behind the net and wood privacy fence. As I did a grid search I was running out of ground when suddenly about 10 feet from the back of the net I got a nice +47 signal and I knew from past tungsten ring finds this had to be it! Firing up the Garrett carrot and running it over the grass I got a nice vibration and sifting thru the grass and leaves revealed this stunning tungsten and palladium ring! I texted him the pic as he was already on the road coming home and was super thrilled! So even tho their team didn’t get the win, we had a real win on the home court…turning March Madness to March Gladness!

Silver Wedding Ring Lost at Park in Thousand Oaks, CA…Found and Happily Returned

Jason called last night after losing his ring at a local park near his house. We discussed the loss, and where he thought it might be. It sounded like we could postpone the search until today because of the length of the grass, and that the loss was on a hillside. We arranged to meet in the morning. So when I finished breakfast, I was on my way.

I met Jason at his house, and then followed him over to the park. When we arrived he showed me where he had been when the loss occurred, and how he believed the ring could have fallen there. I began working the hillside, and received numerous signals, but none registering silver. It wasn’t until I worked passed the tree that is in the photo above that I got the signal I needed. I looked in the grass and could see the round shape that assured me I had found Jason’s ring. I reached down and brought it back up showing him immediately. Needless to say he was very happy to have it back, after having it on his finger for 7 years. I was very glad to have given him that relief. It is much fun making people happy!

Gold Cartier Ring Lost in Malibu, CA…Found and Happily Returned

Sarah called about her lost ring. She was at the beach, and before going down to the water she wisely removed her ring and put it in her pants pocket. When she went to put her pants back on the ring fell into the sand and was gone. She and her friends searched diligently for it with no success. I let her know I was on my way, and would let her know when I arrived.

When I got to the beach, I found where Sarah and her friends were and began my over to them. When I got to her I asked my questions, and was assured the ring was still in the area. I turned on my detector and began my search. I took 3 swings, and dug one signal, it was Sarah’s ring. Within minutes of my arrival Sarah had her ring back on her finger. A very happy ending to a long day!

Lost White Gold Diamond Ring in Ringgold Georgia…Found

White gold and diamond ring was lost while tending to the flower beds in the back yard.  The couple had bought a metal detector to search for it themselves with no luck.  After looking for it for around two weeks, they found me on www.theringfinders.com .  Since the location was close for me I headed over there immediately.  I found the ring in less than 30 minutes buried in the grass just outside of one of the flower beds.

Billy a relative of Karen called me asking if I could help them find a family heirloom diamond ring that Karen had lost at the beach just an hour before the call. Knowing that the weather had been nice, and there were a lot of people there I told him I would leave right away to do the search if they would await. They agreed to wait, and I left for the search.

Billy met me when I arrived and took me to the area of the loss. His family including Karen was visiting from Wisconsin, and were scheduled to leave the next day, so this loss created a high level of tension. The ring had been Karen’s great grandmother’s, and had a deep special meaning for her. They showed me what had happened, the ring had flown off of her finger while she was brushing the sand off of her clothes. I began my search and found bottle caps, foil, some coins, but no ring. I then began searching in the other direction, and a little further out, when I got a good strong signal. I put the scoop in, pulled it up and shook out the sand. When I looked in, expecting to see the diamond ring, I saw 2 rings, and was a little puzzled. Before I brought them out, I asked if I was looking for 1 or 2 rings, they then said that 2 were lost, but they were really concerned about the diamond ring. That is when I pulled them both out of the scoop to everyone’s surprise. Karen had an immediate flood of emotion when she saw the ring her great grandmother had worn, and came and gave me a big hug. I know it was bothering her to think she might have to go back to Wisconsin leaving this representation of her family behind. Boy it is great to see joy restored!

Tiffany Necklace Lost in the Sand at Santa Monica Beach, CA…Found and Happily Returned.

I received a somewhat desperate call from Sarah about 8:00 PM, she had been at the beach earlier in the day, and lost her Tiffany necklace. The weather had finally warmed up, and lured many to the beaches to enjoy the change, Sarah included. She was sitting on her blanket, and realized that her necklace was causing a bit of irritation, so she removed it and placed it on the blanket so as to not lose it. When it was time to leave she forgot the necklace was still on the blanket, got up, shook the sand off of it, and left for home. She got pretty far from the spot before she realized the necklace was gone. She called, and I told her if she would wait, I would come immediately to conduct the search. She agreed to wait, and I was on my way.

When I arrived Sarah told me that the necklace was given to her by her parents, and recently had lost her father, so this necklace loss was a very painful one. She took me out to the area, and explained what had happened. There were some people in the area, so I began working around them until they left. I set a grid, and worked in one direction, Sarah then told me that she believed she was more in the opposite direction, so I changed over to the new area. I was finding some bottle caps, and few coins, and continued the grid. After about 7 or 8 passes, at about 9:30 PM, I got a good silver tone in the head phones, looked down, and saw a partially covered heart. I reached down, and brought up Sarah’s necklace unharmed. I was surprised no one else had found it because it was not totally hidden. Sarah became very emotional telling me that it was one of the things she owned that her father had last touched, and that she had been listening to the music he enjoyed on her way back for the search. What a smile, right?!
