Lost Diamond Rings in Naples, Florida Found & Returned by Metal Detector

  • from Marco Island (Florida, United States)

[April 23, 2019 – Naples, Florida] Got a call from Brian’s wife who reported having lost two rings at the beach.  The rings she’s carefully guarded in her pocket were likely lost as she was tending her children and applying more sunscreen.  So, why hire a professional metal detector?  Well, several hours of searching, traffic, and sifting through the sand had only managed to broaden the search area and drive the rings deeper.  The wedding band was the first to be found.  It gave off a faint signal being buried in about 5-6 inches of sand and canted at a 45 decgree angle.  The diamond solitaire proved to be a bit more tricky.  It was found nearby, yielding only an occasional very very faint signal as it was 6-8 inches deep standing nearly straight up.  The rest is now history and another “story” added to a family’s memorable vacation in Naples, Florida.  What was once lost has been found – thank God!

Wedding Band Recovered in Spring Lake NJ by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call from Matt, seems he took off his wedding band and laid it on his towel to go swimming. His wife not knowing shook the towel out to get sand off of it and there goes the band. Told him id be there in about 15 minutes or so. He met me on the boardwalk and took me to where they were sitting. Turns out they had help digging around for it and even got a rake from the lifeguards to see if they could find it. I worked they area they dug up and had no luck. I widen my search and found his band about 5 to 6 feet off to the side. His smile says it all. Another great recovery and happy husband and wife.

Lost Rose Gold Ring with Diamond Found in Romulus Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Lady Speed Walker

The pictured lady was out on a stroll this evening and her ring came off. When I talked with her we agreed to meet and search the areas where she thought it came off. She remembers it hitting the pavement and thinking it rolled into the grass not far from her house. I searched the grass areas with the MXT from where she remembers it falling off to her house, prob 1/8 of a mile, no ring signal. Darkness was upon us and I told her I would return in the morning at sunrise. I drove off wondering if someone found it. As I got near the street corner approx. 1/4 mile from her house I saw something shining back at me as the headlights got closer. I thought it was a coin, after I stopped and approached the object it was the diamond in her 18k rose gold ring sparkling in my headlights! I couldn’t believe it! I called her and said how fast can you get to the end of the street and it seemed only a minute as she zoomed down the street and was reunited with her ring!

I received a call late in the day yesterday regarding a wedding ring lost in the water at the beach. Steven was coming out of the water when a wave hit him in the back, and knocked his ring from his finger. It immediately disappeared in the sand and water. I let him know I would be leaving to help right away.

When I arrived the tide was close to its high point, and there were 4 foot shore break crashing right on the beach. The loss had happened a few hours before, and closer to the low end of the tide cycle. I tried to do a search, but because of the wave action, was not able to get to far in the water to do a good search, and decided to come back today when the tide was low again. I spent about 1 1/2 hours doing the search when I got a good solid signal, and dug. After I dumped the scoop and kicked the sand away, I saw the gleam of gold. I took the ring and sent an email to Steven to let him know that I was successful. We arranged a meeting at the same beach later, and I was able to give his ring back. He was very happy, and surprised that it was found. Another great smile made!

I had a call for a search for a lost ring in a park yesterday. The ring was eventually found at the caller’s home and was not lost at the park, but while searching the playground for the ring I found someone’s lost iPhone 7 buried in the wood chips. The phone still had a charge, and was still working, so I looked and found the last person that was called on the phone. The phone was locked, but allowed me to call that person back. It turned out the person on the other end was a friend that happened to be there at the park the day the phone was lost, so I gave him my number to forward to his friend. His friend Anthony called me today, and we arranged to meet so I could get his phone back to him.

We arranged to meet at a store about half way between our houses. Needless to say Anthony was very happy, and told me that they had searched for the phone for quite a while after the loss. I am glad I was able to help him out.

Grandmother’s Silver Ring Lost in the Sand, Found and Returned Myrtle Beach SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

George called me saying his daughter, Anna’s friend, Karsen, had lost a ring in the dry sand and was wondering if I could help find it. George told me they were in Myrtle Beach, so I needed to contact Matt Fry, the TRF for Myrtle Beach, since this was his area. I tried calling Matt, both at his shop and his cell phone a few times each, and wasn’t getting any response. I called George back and got the address of the resort they were at and told him I was on my way.

I met George on the beach, and he explained that Karsen had taken her 3 rings off and put them on a towel. Unknowingly, Anna picked up the towel, as they were leaving, and the rings were tossed into the sand. They were able to find 2 of the rings, but couldn’t find the ring that was Karsen’s grandmothers. After about an hour of searching, George was talking to one of the lifeguards who mentioned that there was someone that would come out and help find the ring. The lifeguard couldn’t remember the name, so George started searching Google and found my website. Once George pointed out the area, I turned my machine on and within a couple of minutes I got a strong 17 on my Equinox. I dug a small scoop of sand and saw the tiny silver ring on top of the sand in the scoop. I handed the ring to George, who called Anna telling them to come back down to the beach from the resort. Within minutes Karsen was on the beach with her ring back where it belonged.

George, thank you for trusting me to help find Karsen’s ring, and have a great rest of your vacation.

Man’s Silver Maggie Lee Pendant and Chain Necklace Found and Returned Sunset Beach NC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

I was on a ring search on Sunset Beach when a young man, Arkhum, came up to me and asked if I would mind looking for his Silver Pendant and Chain Necklace. He told me he’d lost it the day before and knew the area where it was lost. I followed him up the beach to the dry sand area where he pointed out the area. About 3 steps, I had a strong signal, dug a scoop of sand and had it. I handed him back his necklace that his wife had bought him. He was very happy to get it back.
