Lost Wedding Ring Victoria B.C. Recovered and Returned

  • from Victoria (British Columbia, Canada)
Contact:

Monday June 18th  Jon and Cheryl were at Langford Lake boat ramp teaching their dog to swim. Jon told me, I do remember feeling it slip off when the dog I was holding started to swim towards shore. I remember my feet in the muck but I was facing the shore. I tried diving down when it happened and maybe I buried it with all the commotion. It’s platinum – not sure if that makes it harder to detect or not.
Cheryl contacted me June 26th, “Don can you help, My husband of just 9 months lost his wedding ring. »
I started searching that afternoon, After three failed attempts to recover this heirloom platinum wedding ring I returned one more time, it was bugging me that I was not able to recover and return this ring.
Well persistence paid off, found it and returned to a very happy couple.

I love my job.

LOST WEDDING RING IN WAIKIKI FOUND

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find started in the late evening around 9:00pm on June 16th. I noticed on craigslist an ad that said they lost their wedding ring in Waikiki. I respond to the ad and got a call back from Jay. Asked him a bunch of questions and Apparently there were 3 other detectors who tried looking for it and didn’t find it. I was a bit hesitant to go out and look knowingly that there were 3 others who looked and supposedly didn’t find it. I was hoping that someone didn’t find it or worse they may have found it but wasn’t truthful. My gut was telling me to go out there and help them so, I did. I let Jay know that I’m on my way and to make sure NO MORE METAL DETECTORS go through the area. I get to the beach and meet up with Jay and started to look… there in the search site was almost 60 drunk people partying on the beach, beer cans, rubbish, rough waves and a lot of coins. About 4 hours later I get a nice tone while I’m in chest deep water… there in my scoop is a beautiful 3.8 karat wedding ring. I look towards shore and turn on my headlamp so Jay can see me and start nodding my head so he knows the ring is found. I give a loud shout of praise and I hear the people on the beach yelling  » YOU FOUND IT? » as I reply « YES ». The people on the beach gathered around as I presented Jay His wife ring back. All i could hear were people yelling and excited that the ring was found. Jay and I both agreed to let his wife know so she could enjoy the return of here precious ring. Another successful recovery and another honeymoon saved. WHAT A GREAT FATHERS DAY GIFT!!!

LOST WEDDING RING IN WAIKIKI… FOUND!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This recovery started on June 27th with phone tag between Gabriel and myself late in the evening. Gabriel left me an email around noon time that explained He lost His wedding ring in the water at Waikiki. I knew Waikiki was a heavily hunted spot for metal detectors and needed to get down there ASAP before this ring is gone forever. I continued to call and email Gabriel until we finally got ahold of each other. I drove out to met up with the couple who are here on their honeymoon from Alberta Canada. We headed to the beach which we stood on the shoreline and I tried to gather as much information as possible. Gabriel explained to me where He and His wife were sitting and where they entered the water. This helped and really painted a picture for me which I was able to narrow down the search site. I encouraged the couple to pray and I let them know that if I find the ring while in the water since it’s dark I will turn on my head lamp and look towards them and make a nodding motion so they will know that the ring is found. I started my search and after a few passes I pick up a penny and a dime. And as i continued to look I get a great tone and start to dig… I hear something in the scoop and it sounds like a RING. I pulled out my Xtreme scoop from the water and there inside and is a 14K white Gold mens wedding band with the inscription of June 23, 2018. I knew it was Gabriels ring! I turned on my headlamp, made the nodding motion towards the anticipating couple on the shoreline and gave a loud shout of JOY. I headed back to shore where I could hear the couple talking… both excited and shocked. So, as I approched the couple who were stand anticipating the good news and extend my hand with Gabriels ring at the end of my fingertips… they both agreed that that it was his lost ring and now its found! They were amazed that I found it and in that short amount of time. It was with Gabriels help that put me in the right spot and it was definitely an ANSWERED PRAY ON ALL OF OUR REQUESTS.

Another successful recovery. Mahalo to Gabriel and Nancy May you guys enjoy your honeymoon / vacation the way you all deserve in Hawaii… TO LIVE ALOHA!

Gold wedding band found at Denver, City Park

  • from Denver (Colorado, United States)

Sunday Tim was at his soccer match when he removed his wedding band, tied it with a slipknot on to his key lanyard and tossed it onto his gym bag. After his match he went to put his ring on that is when he realised that his ring was not on the lanyard. He spent an hour searching the area visually with no luck. He informed the league hoping someone might find his ring in the latter matches, no luck there either.
Tim found my profile on The Ring Finders and sent me an email. I noticed his email mid morning Monday and called him. We set up a search time a couple hours later.
When I arrived at the park the temperature was nearing 90. Tim led me to the search site, we discussed the events of the night prior, and set a search perimeter. After about a 20 minute search I found Tim’s ring on the very edge off our search perimeter. The XP Deus worked well for this search.

  • from Edmonton (Alberta, Canada)
Contact:

I received a call this morning from Tyler requesting my service to locate his wife’s wedding/engagement ring that was lost earlier this morning along the highway. After asking Tyler a few questions I agreed to meet up with him.  Again I questioned Tyler as to the possible location of the ring.  I was about to remove my equipment from my vehicle  when I heard Tyler  saying « that’s my Ring! » It was laying right next to my back wheel. Another few centimeters and I would have driven over it.  I couldn’t believe it! I told Tyler that it was his lucky day and to go buy himself a Lottery Ticket.

Thank you Tyler for entrusting me to help you locate you wife’s ring.

LOST DIAMOND RING FOUND WAIKIKI

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

On 5/7/18 I was out on the North Shore at 5:00 AM preparing to look for a lost men’s wedding ring and it was still dark. As I’m getting ready I look online and saw a lost wedding ring posted on Craigslist on the opposite side of the island and decide to respond to the ad to offer my help. As the sun started to rise while I was on the North Shore I notice that the waves coming up and looked too risky to put my metal detector in the water next to all the reef and to look for the ring in the high surf conditions. I decide to text Faith and see if we would be able to meet up to search for the ring she posted about on Craigslist. She and I decided to meet at the beach.  She told me that she had someone come out and look for it thoroughly for an hour and a half the day prior so if I was willing she would appreciate it. I decide to go over the searched area even though it was search previously  as « It’s always good to search for yourselves »  and sure enough after a few TRASHY items I noticed on my CTX3030 a solid reading of gold/Platinum! As I look in my scoop there it is and I think to myself thats a beauty. What do I tell Faith? How do I tell her as she is simmering around the beach and telling Uncle China (Known Surfer) about her lost ring. I shout to Faith  » Do you wanna SMILE NOW or LATER? » Faith responds, « huh? »  I say it again, « Do you wanna SMILE NOW or LATER? » Faith stops in her tracks and shouts « NO WAY KAI » with tears running down her face I hold up her beautiful ring. The onlookers and the guys that were with Uncle China gave a loud shout and exciting praise!!!  The ring which is so precious was back in the rightful hands and now able to pass down to the next generation. Precious items should be kept safe and I know this family heirloom will be kept safe and passed down for more years to come. Thank you and always have FAITH!

Platinum ring lost while doing yard work returned, Denver Colorado

  • from Denver (Colorado, United States)

Easter Sunday morning Ben was preparing his backyard for the upcoming Sunday dinner and gathering. Games were played that afternoon and plenty of quality family time was had in the back yard. Soon after the festivities ben noticed that his platinum wedding band was missing. He and his wife Anna spent time searching the back yard visually but they had no luck finding his ring. Ben then borrowed a metal detector from a friend and searched the yard, once again luck was not with them. Anna went to her LinkIn account to get rid of some of her notifications and she noticed a notice from my profile of a work anniversary since we had worked together years ago. She contacted me stating their situation, we quickly formed a plan for me to search their yard as I was leaving on vacation in a couple of days.

When I arrived Ben showed me around the yard and explained what had happened the morning and early afternoon of his rings disappearance. I grabbed a few detectors from my truck and began my search pattern. On my first pass of the yard I heard a good signal from my metal detector, I looked down and there was the shinny outline of a ring hidden amongst the grass. I placed a screwdriver with its tip over the ring and went to get Ben. When I knocked on the door Ben was a bit taken aback by my quick return to the house. I told him to look at the blade end of the screw driver, it took him several seconds to see his ring laying in the grass. He was very happy to get his ring back and Anna was in tears. They had had a baby just six days prior so her emotions were running pretty high.

Ring returned 4-12-2018

Lost Gold Diamond Wedding Band Set Recovered in Nottingham, Maryland!

  • from Baltimore (Maryland, United States)
Contact:

I received a call back on the 18th of March from a woman who was positive she lost her wedding set in her back yard while doing some spring cleanup with her husband. Despite searching through the leaves for hours, they were unable to locate either of the rings. They also decided to go out and purchase a metal detector and give that a try. They quickly realized if you are not proficient and experienced with a detector, attempting to use one on the fly leads to frustration. I was able to meet them at their home that very day (Sunday) and immediately began my search once they showed me the probable areas where the rings might be. After about 20 minutes……SUCCESS!

The rings(the one in the picture above is her engagement ring) were not too far from each other and were up close to a shed in the yard. To complicate things, there were spare railing pieces leaned up against the shed making the « hiding place » perfect, but they couldn’t escape me!

The rings are now back where they belong with their very happy owner!

Pike Lake, Minto, Ontario~2nd visit~Lost gun metal wedding band in the water 2nd time back!

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

2017-09-25 Pike Lake, Minto, Ontario (2nd visit back)

So the August 14th, 2017 Ring recovery & return for Heather R’s late Uncle Paul was sent around via email to all the trailer owners/members at the Pike Lake Private Community. One of the trailer owners Shawn H had just read the story.  Shawn and his Family were having fun in the water slide and Shawn’s hand caught the loop on the water slide. He watched his unique « gun metal » wedding band with 3 black diamonds slide off his finger into the water. The bottom of the lake was thick muck. Because of my previous ring find at the lake he gave me a call. I was up at Wasaga Beach, headed home to Erin to pick up my scuba gear and tanks and then directly to Pike Lake.

I met Shawn did a quick interview, put my scuba gear on and took out both my Minelab Excallibur 2 and the Scuba Tector ready.

Anywhere from 3″ to 16″ of MUCK with zero visibility at times. The first ring I pulled out and went to the surface and said « I found it ». I described the ring as Shawn was on the beach and he said that it wasn’t his….then came the 2nd ring….then a pair of sunglasses. Shawn had to head back home with his young Family. Within 20 minutes of him leaving….B-O-O-M…I found his unique ring

I send him a text message with a picture of his ring to say « this look familiar? » They were ecstatic!! I met Sean’s wife the following day to return his ring. Unfortunately, I didn’t find her sunglasses but I’ve been invited back by the Park owners!

The ring on the left (middle photo) is the Pike Lake owners Daughter’s Husband’s wedding band with the Italian sunglasses belonging to her Friend visiting from California. DOUBLE WHAMMY!!

Video coming soon!

Still another ring to be returned to it’s rightful owner…..and an invite back in 2018!!

not 1 but 3!!
