Lost Ring Whistler BC…Found!

I got a phone call from a young man who told me he lost his wedding band in a lake at Whistler, he told me he was swiping at a mosquito and his ring flew into the bushes. It had been about a couple of weeks and he found me online and asked if I was willing to come up and find his ring.

Of course I was up for the challenge, it was about a 2 Hour Dr. each way and part of the drive I had to jump in his vehicle because the road was so bad going into the lake that it had to be a special vehicle with enough clearance to make the big dips and  bumps.

After arriving to this beautiful lake, Sunny showed me the direction that his ring had flown. I thought for sure this could take at least two hours, it was a very difficult search due to all the overgrowth, trees, branches and big rocks, I thought for sure I was in for a long search.

It was only a matter of minutes with a lot of luck that I found his ring, sometimes the ring gods are with us, today they were! I was so happy to get this ring back to Sunny and see his smile!

We go the extra mile to find your Smile!

LOST WEDDING BAND AFTER A SWIM AT TGE SEGUIN VALLEY G&C in SEGUIN, ONT 🇨🇦

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Todd and his buddies from Sudbury, Ontario booked into the ‘stay & play’ Seguin Valley Golf & Country Club, Seguin, Ontario just south of Parry Sound!

A few days away on a guys get-a-way golfing adventure! A few bevies may have been had. Todd decided to swim 200’ over to an exposed rock area and he felt his wedding band fell off.

The guys all headed back home and I received special permission from the manager Gail. You see one of Gail’s employee Marci Vine is an amazing Friend and Kelly Shires Pink Sista recommended me!! Marci advised Todd to call me!

So I headed up to the golf course, received directions to cabin #2. Todd provided a photo of the area. I swam over to the rock with all my gear and searched for approximately 10 minutes with no luck. I decided to check the top of the rock!

BINGO!!! Solid tone on my Minelab Excalibur2 underwater metal detector and I found Todd’s wedding band sitting on top of the rock just under some small shrubs! I swam back and surprised FaceTimed Todd with the good news!

check out the video;

Thank you Todd for trusting me to recover and return your wedding band! And Thank you for the donation to the Kelly Shores Breast Cancer Foundation as well! He receives a tax receipt!

Thanks also to the staff at Sequin Valley G&C Gail for permission and Marci for the recommendation!

I mailed Todd’s wedding band back and he’s out of the dog house!!

Lost silver pendant at Jericho Beach… Found

This young man lost a very special silver pendant at Jericho Beach, three days later he reaches out for help. We made arrangements to meet at the beach unfortunately it would have to be after I finished work, so we set up a time for 1:30 AM to search for the silver pendant.

After meeting Vinny and his sister and her boyfriend in the early hours of the morning we walked along the beach to the area where he lost his pendant. After removing a lot of trash in the area I begin my search for almost two hours, after cleaning out all the target signals except for one big iron target, I decided to move all the sand away from the Iron and that was a good thing as Murphy’s Law would have it… I found his pendant which was right on top of the iron target.

Close to 3:30 AM I was able to surprise Vinny with his cherished silver pendant…

WEDDING BAND LOST IN MURKY WATERS OF BACKYARD POND in PEFFERLAW, ONT 🇨🇦

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

I had a referral from another RING FINDER Anne for a lost wedding band in a pond in Pefferlaw, Ontario. Soon after, I received a call from Ron the ring owner!

I made arrangement to attend early Saturday morning. I brought along my trusty Minelab Excalibur2 underwater metal detector and my newly acquired DIVE BLU3 NEMO hookah system purchased last fall.

The search area was roughly 6’ to 10’ wide by zero to 20’ out from the dock. When Ron stated it was mucky, squishy bottom and black with zero viz… he WASN’T KIDDING!!

Check the video our of the recovery of this beautiful rose gold wedding band;

Ron being a former diver knew those conditions aren’t favorable nor wanted for anyone in the water! It’s very easy to lose ones bearings as you could see. I had to pop up a number of times to ensure I was heading back to the dock area.

I was thinking after my first down and back attempt, I would then switch to a Lazy “D” style grid pattern (1/2 moon) back and forth from dock outward!

Lucky on the way back to the dock and right under the dock ladder I heard the sweet gold tone on the Excalibur2!! I popped out with the wedding band much to the surprise and delight of Ron and Christopher!!

It was a pleasure to meet both these guys and a big thank you for the generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation in which they received a tax receipt!! PAYING-IT-FORWARD!!

14k ROSE GOLD WEDDING BAND LOST IN ROADSIDE DITCH In SUNDRIGE, ONTARIO

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Nolan was working in Sunridge, Ontario staking out a utility vault in a ditch at the side of a roadway. He was brushing away his pants with wet hands when he noticed out of the corner of his eye his wedding band fly off.

Nolan’s 14 karat wedding band was custom designed by his Wife with a centre ruby in between two amethyst gemstones to match her engagement ring.

We agreed to meet this weekend very early morning as the Ontario Highway 400 northbound cottage traffic can be crazy.

With a strict grid search using my Minelab Equinox 800 metal detector and small stock coil I was able to locate Nolan’s wedding band in 2 1/2 minutes!

Check out the video;

A very happy young couple and another donation grateful received came into the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation!! Nolan received a tax receipt for his donation amount! #payingitforward!

Sentimental Ear Ring Lost At Atlantic Beach Found Two Days Later

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Atlantic Beach, NC

I was practicing my detector skills and settings at « The Circle ».  As I pulled another bottlecap from it’s sandy depths (glass bottles are prohibited here), a couple asked if I had found an ear ring.  Kate informed me she had lost the ear ring in the same general area 2 days prior.  My recovery mode went into action as I started to grid the area.  To her surprise and after a few more pieces of junk metal, I received a solid 1 signal on my Minelab Equinox 800.  It took 1 scoop to unbury her missing ear ring.

Kate was thrilled I found it and explained although it didn’t have monetary value, her Aunt had made the ear rings for her and the sentimental value connection made her very happy to have the set back in her possession.

CELL PHONE LOST IN GIBSON LAKE, PORT SEVERN, MUSKOKA LAKE, ONTARIO

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Megan was sitting out on a dock with a pile of Friends when someone fell into the lake. She jumped up to help and her cell phone fell into the waters dockside in Gibson Lake, Port Severn in beautiful cottage country of the Muskoka Lakes region in Ontario!

I headed up after work with my underwater metal detector and decided to use my new DIVE BLU3 NEMO hookah system with the 10’ hose instead of all my scuba gear! The Blu3 Nemo hookah system is around 15lbs and is perfect for any recoveries 10’ or less!! Beats dragging all the gear and heavy scuba tank(s)!! I love this little unit!

During my underwater grid search I had a visit from Mister Bass. I pulled up some cans, bungee cords, a hot wheels car and finally managed to find Megan’s cell phone in 10-15 minutes! Hopefully the bag of rice I supplied will help save her phone/photos from damage being in the water for a few days already!

Here is the video;

I have a call out fee. When I recover the lost item, I don’t take a reward! Instead, I request the client to ‘pay-it-forward’ with an immediate online donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation! The client then receives a tax receipt for the amount donated!! This is my 13th year snowmobiling for the Kelly Shires!

Thank you Megan for calling upon me to help!

18k WHITE GOLD/DIAMOND WEDDING BAND LOST IN THE FAMILY VAN Brampton, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Vanessa and Danny took their young Family for a drive to Toronto. Vanessa removed her engagement ring and wedding band and set it on the center consul inside the van. After applying hand cream, 10 minutes later she went to put her wedding rings back on and only saw her engagement ring and no wedding band.

After searching the vehicle, bags, and hand bag Husband Danny decided to pull apart the center consul as they noticed the ring likely slipped into a small crack. No luck.

Vanessa found my Ring Finders blog page and contacted me! I arrived after work and agreed with Vanessa that the ring was still inside the vehicle!

Danny assisted me with pulling apart the consul (again) and checking cracks in the plastic and upholstery with my Stanley scope. I then lifter the spare tire compartment behind the two front seats, checked across the seem and spotted the glorious glitter of the diamonds on the end of the scope camera!

Then of course…. Scheming with Danny and then surprising his Wife with the pink plastic kids ring to return her beautiful 18k white gold/Diamond wedding bands!!

Check out the video!!

YES, TEARS OF JOY!! PRICELESS!

Grateful for Vanessa & Danny’s generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation as part of my PAY-IT-FORWARD program instead of receiving a reward! They will receive a tax receipt for their donation 🙏🏻💖THANK YOU💖🙏🏻

Lost & Found Gold Rings, Crescent Beach.

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

It was a busy Sunday, my first search was for 3 1/2 hours and no success walking over two kilometres looking for a lost wedding band for a young man. The next day I saw it posted on craigslist and I contacted him to let him know someone had found it and said that they found it two days before I started the search. I felt very happy that his ring was found and returned, then I drove to Chilliwack to find a ring in the backyard (5 minute search) and then on the way home I stopped off at Crescent Beach were a young lady’s mother contacted me in regards to her daughter losing three very precious rings that were gifts from her great grandmother, grandmother, and her mother.

She went on to tell me the rings were lost two days prior to her calling me, so I knew it could be a bit of a long shot due to how many people search these beaches in the summertime. We met at around 8 PM at the beach and talks about the search area, the young lady told me that they were playing volleyball and throwing a football. She also told me she took off all three rings and gave it to a friend to put in his pocket so she would not lose them. Playing volleyball they did not have a net and we’re just passing it around so no real reason for the rings to jump out of the pocket. Also it was short grass so most likely I would have spotted at least one ring. After 30 minutes on the grass I moved the search to the sandy part of the beach where they were throwing the football. She remembered her friend had fallen to the ground a couple of times trying to catch the pass.

This was my  »hot area » as diving for the ball and landing on the sand would definitely cause rings to fall out of a pocket. After approximately 30 minutes of grid searching the area it wasn’t looking good for success, until I’m close to my last grid search line I popped up one of the rings!!!

I now gnu the chances of finding the other two were extremely high in that approximate area and I was right! Will you see here on my post and my videos are smiles and recoveries, when you don’t see is the many times I go out searching for rings and I’m not successful. Most times it’s because people did not lose the ring where they thought they lost it, they will call me the next day or two sometimes a month or two later and tell me where they found it in their house or in their car. In all my years I’ve only had one search where I missed the ring and the people found it themselves. I’m only human I can make mistakes too.

The connection to these rings were very powerful, they were her a gift from her grand mother, her great grandmother, and her mothers gold rings, handed down to her to continue the story and hopefully one day pass on to her daughter or son. I felt honoured to be able to help find and help continue the stories of these beautiful rings.

M-I-A POOL LIGHTING DECK BOX FOUND ETOBICOKE, ON

I received a message from Anita in Etobicoke! Her pool guys we’re investigating a defective or faulted feed to an underwater light in the spa with continued breaker tripping.
The pool guys moved a large boulder but were unable to locate the deck box. Since the deck box had a metal lid, it was suggested to obtain a metal detector.
Anita reached out to the ‘Toronto Metal Detecting’ Facebook Group where I was recommended as a contact that could assist!
As a former salt water pool owner I understood how the construction of my pool went! We were able to locate the lid in 5-10 minutes under a piece of rock on the side of the spa!!!

Check out the video;

Another happy client and another charitable donation coming into the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation in which Anita will be receiving a tax donation receipt!! Thank you Anita!
I love using my passion for metal/scuba dive detecting to help others and paying-it-forward raising charity donations!!
