Sid got a call from Yvette two days after her husband lost his platinum wedding band in their back yard. He was shaking pool water off his hands when more than water flew off. The search area was small but the ring could not be located by their visual search nor with a borrowed detector. Sid and Carrie arrived at the search area the next day. Both detectors (Garrett Ace 350 and AT Pro) went wild with interference. Not from power lines, from underground wires in the search area. Down on our hands and knees with pin pointers. Sid hunted the holly bushes and found the ring under leaves at the base of those bushes. Total search time, 20 minutes. Purity Ring Lost, Found and Returned on Anna Maria Island
A Leadership conference group from the G5 Church in Davenport, Florida came down to Anna Maria Island for a day of rest and relaxation. Some of the young people were playing soccer in the warm sand when BreAnn fell down. When she got up, her hands were all covered with sand. (You know how it is when you have suntan lotion on and dip your hands into sand) She pulled her Purity ring off so she could get the sand out from under it and immediately dropped it into the sand. It of course disappeared. They all looked and looked with no luck. They started to sift the whole area with play plastic sand strainers and another member of the group went in search of a metal detector. He found a detector but they were not successful in finding the ring. Finally because the day was coming to an end and they needed to return to the Orlando area, Josana started looking on the internet for help. She found SRARC on the Ring Finders and contacted Tom Jones. Tom contacted Mike Miller and Mike headed down to the Island right away. When he arrived they showed him the area they had sifted (only about 6 sq. ft.) and he got ready to hunt. Two swings later he got the gold tone, leaned over and picked up the ring. It was in the pile of sand that they had sifted and one of the sifters was actually sitting on top of it.
BreAnn was overjoyed and the others were in shock that it was found so fast. They were all smiling and excited that BreAnn had her ring back. We had a round of hugs and then they were on their way home. I think they must have had a very happy ride home. It is always a pleasure for us at SRARC to be able to return special items to their owner.
After returning from a trip out of state, I received a call the next morning from a distraught Mary who had lost both her wedding and engagement rings at either Mission Bay or Mission Beach. She had removed her rings and put them in a pocket for safe keeping while at the beach with her family. After several hours and a couple of different locations, she discovered they were missing from her pocket. They searched and even rented a metal detector, but, failed to find them. They talked with a kind woman that lived close by to where they were staying, who went online for help. TheRingFinders.com was recommended and they called me. I met Mary’s husband Conor at the beach by where they had rented a house for the week. They were on holiday from Ireland with their children and were supposed to leave that day, but, extended their stay hoping to find the rings before they had to leave. Conor took Mary and the kids to Sea World and then came to show me the search locations. They spent most of their time on the bay side beach, but, also had a short trek over to the ocean beach where Mary had to scale a sea wall…..another likely spot for those rings to jump out of a pocket. I started my search where they were sitting on the bay side beach while Conor went to the store and ATM. He hadn’t been gone for 2 minutes when I got a couple of great gold sounds a few inches apart right about where they had placed their beach chairs. Sure enough, the first target was the wedding band with the engagement ring a second later. It could have been a long afternoon as the search area just on this side was about the size of half a football field, and after two days had passed, it could have already been found by someone else. We got lucky this day.
When Conor returned, he saw me still detecting and figured I still hadn’t found them. I was actually just killing time until he returned. I pulled out the rings and asked if they looked familiar? He was initially dumbfounded and speechless, but, finally found his voice and thanked me profusely. The neighbor lady (sorry I didn’t get her name) saw us from her balcony and asked if we had any luck. Conor held the rings up and everyone cheered. Mary then called to check on the progress. Conor was going keep it a secret and surprise her by presenting her with the rings and a reproposal on bended knee at Sea World, but, then thought the better of it and told her they had been found. I could tell by her response that she was also overcome with emotion and had trouble getting the words out. A pleasure to meet you Conor and with talking to Mary. My wife and I were packing our car for a short trip out of state, when I received a call for help finding a class ring at Mission Bay. Sahba was playing a game with her husband and a group of friends two days previous, when her ring came off and disappeared into the sand at De Anza Cove beach. They all searched on their hands and knees and even using a sifter, but, without success. We met them on our way out of town and hoped for an easy return. It wasn’t all that easy, even though they knew the exact area and it wasn’t all that big. LOTS of iron and other junk made it a slow process. After gridding and cross-gridding, it finally came to light. A pleasure to meet you two and thank you for the reward.
John called me hoping that I could find his lost wedding ring. He was heading out to Brazil to met his wife in a couple of days and didn’t want to have to explain why he wasn’t wearing his wedding ring. He had been playing with his son at a local park and while reaching up high to catch a soccer ball kicked by his son, the ball smacked his hand and popped the ring off and into the grass. He searched for some time without success before he gave me a call. We met at the park and he showed me the search area and demonstrated what happened. I started a grid and expanded the area as the ring was being elusive. I then changed my search direction 90 degrees and after a few passes, I got the sound I was looking for. I looked down and it was in plain site! Hard to believe we both missed it visually, but, the grass it was in was a bit brown which camouflaged a yellow gold ring to the casual naked eye. Wedding Ring lost found and returned Madeira Beach, Florida
Ryan and his wife Ashley were enjoying at sunny afternoon at the beach tossing around a Nerf Football when Ryan felt his ring fly off his finger. They immediately went to try and rent a metal detector at a rent all type place, but were disappointed to find that all the rental places detectors were broken. So they posted an add on Craigslist in hopes someone may spot the ring. Howard Metts saw the post and gave Stan Flack a heads up to the post since it was near his home. After a few text’s and emails, Stan decided he had enough information and gave a hunt for the ring on his way to work. After about 10 minutes of hunting, bingo, ring found. Ryan and Ashley ecstatic about the find, met Stan at his work and the ring was returned. Smile’s all the way around.
Lost Wedding Ring in Needville, Texas found by John Volek
I received a call from Amy yesterday regarding her lost wedding ring set. Amy said she had been playing kickball in the backyard with her kids when she lost her ring. Amy said, she was sure it ring flew off her finger when she was throwing the ball to one of her boys. Amy said, she immediately felt it come off her hand, and everyone stopped playing and began searching for her missing rings.

Sid got the call from Aaron on Monday night. Aaron’s fiancée had dropped her diamond engagement ring in the muddy trail during an ATV ride. She had stopped to clean the mud off her hands and the ring went with it. A few friends and a lot of searching, no success. We set up a meeting at the site for Wednesday morning. Long story short, Aaron, his friend Blake, Carrie and Sid all arrived late because of an uncooperative ATV and a truck brake caliper coming unbolted at 65 mph. We rode ATV’s to the hunt site, a very muddy section of the trail. Getting at least one foot of penetration into the mud in most places we stood, the conditions were to say the least, challenging. The thick sticky mud had a suction like a Hoover vacuum cleaner. Finding pull tabs, crushed cans and assorted metal was quite discouraging. After an hour of hunting, Carrie took a break and perched on dry land bordering the trail while Aaron used her detector and pointer to continue hunting. He made a pass on top of a 1 foot deep wheel rut with no signal. Turning the detector sideways and passing it in the same rut gave a hit. Carrie checked on the reading from Aaron. She told him to check it out with the pin pointer. He located the source and actually saw the diamond on the side of the rut. One hour and some luck yielded success. Took quite a bit longer to clean the mud off the ATV’s, detectors, shoes, cameras, etc., etc. It was great to see the smile on Aaron’s face but would have been made better by seeing his fiancée’s smile after receiving the news that evening. Thank you Aaron and Blake for making a taxing hunt bearable with your great attitudes and helpfulness. Thanks for the generous reward.
I received a call about a lost man’s tungsten wedding band. We had a couple of inches of snow on the ground. As he was cleaning off the car; he got some snow on his hand. He flick his hand to remove the snow but also removed his wedding band. His wedding ring flew into the snow. His searched but could not see any ring.
I started to search of the area with taking my first and second pass with no luck. As I started my third pass of the search area I got the tone that I needed. There was the ring hiding under a couple blades of grass. He was very happy to have the ring return back to him.
I was contacted by MVP Skeeters’ Baseball Player Travis Scott regarding his lost wedding ring. Travis said he and his wife (newlyweds) had been out on his ATV (4 wheeler) riding and enjoying the nice weather. Travis said towards the end of the ride they crossed over a small ditch, and had gotten stuck. The ditch was deceiving in appearance and should rightfully be called a bog.
Travis said as they began to cross the water filled ditch the ATV sank and became stuck in knee deep mud. Travis said he dismounted the ATV and attempted to free it by lifting the rear-end out of the mud. Travis said he had no success and later used his truck and a tow strap to pull the ATV out of the mud.
Travis said a short time after getting the ATV stuck and cleaning the mud of his hands he discovered his wedding ring was missing. It was believed it came off in the ditch while he attempted to free the ATV.

Travis and I conducted a search for his ring today and after a couple of hours we called it quits. The ditch was searched extensively with only a few aluminum cans and couple of pulls tabs being discovered. I was confident at the conclusion of the search, that his ring was not in the designated search area or beyond.
Travis was a go getter, right there in the mud, and it was obvious from the get go, neither of us liked to loose!
Travis rewarded me with an autographed Skeeters’ (Rodger Clemens Game Jersey #21)
