Keys found in Chula Vista

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Angela called me to help find her lost keys. It was dark, she and her husband were outside his car in the parking lot where they lived. Angela attempted to throw her keys over to top of the car to her husband on the other side. The keys didn’t make it! They hit the top of the car and bounced somewhere. They searched the parking lot, sidewalk, and landscaping the best they could in the dark using a flashlight, but, didn’t have any luck. They searched again the next day, even cleaning out dead leaves and branches from the bushes along the sidewalk. Still no luck. Next in the process was to buy a metal detector and try again. They had « fun » removing everything imaginable from the ground cover and bushes, but, the keys just wouldn’t speak up. Eventually, they heard about The Ring Finders and gave me a call.

I met Angela at the parking lot around noon and got the low down on how the keys were lost. I started by searching all the ground area in and around the bushes and all along the sidewalk. No luck. I ran the coil over the surface of the bushes and even in the overhanging tree branches, but, still nothing. Next, I started at one end and started shaking all the bushes as hard as I dared, hoping to hear the tinkle of keys or to hopefully convince the bushes to let go of them. We made it all the way to the other end without success, but, while walking back toward where we started Angela looked down and spied them right under the corner of one of the bushes. Yes! Don’t know how we missed them at the time we were at that bush, but, hey, they’re now back where they belong, so, that’s what counts. A very happy Angela called her husband with the good news and both gratefully thanked me. A pleasure to meet you Angela and thank you for the reward.

Lost Wedding Ring In North Spokane, Found !!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

As I pulled into my last window cleaning job for the day, Steve a caring husband called me about his wife’s lost silver wedding ring. A month ago Steve and his wife were raking the backyard. After the work was done Steve’s wife’s ring was long gone, until today. After I arrived Steve showed me the pile of grass that was raked up and the small yard where they were working. I searched the pile of grass and found a dime which gave a very similar reading to his wife’s ring. So then I started my grid around the outside of the yard. As I got close to an old tree stump my coil passed over two signals. One of the signals was a penny and the other, the wedding ring Steve’s wife lost. At this point I didn’t know where Steve had gone off too. So I put the ring in my hand with the few coins and pull tabs that I found in my short search. I walked over to the stairs where I saw Steve last and set the handful of finds down on the rail. Just as I stood up I heard Steve say, « find anything »? With a hidden smile I pointed to the pile and said « yeah this stuff right here ». Steve walked over and started looking really hard at the pile of stuff when he noticed the ring under a freshly dug pull tab. Wow, OMG, Where did you find it, OMG. All this being said, I gathered he was happy the search for his wife’s ring was over. Later after I left he called and said his wife was crying on the phone after he sent her a picture of her lost ring. This is what makes a successful hunt magical, the opportunity to give a lost item back to the owner and the « thank you’s » that stream down their face. Thanks for trusting me Steve and believing in the Ring finders.

LOST ENGAGEMENT RING BATON ROUGE, LA. – FOUND

  • from Lafayette (Louisiana, United States)
Contact:

Taloria called late Saturday afternoon looking for help in finding her lost engagement ring. It was too late to drive the 1 ½ hrs to Baton Rouge and get any hunting in before dark, so we set up to meet early the next morning. When we arrived at the site, Taloria said she was on her way to a party with friends when she placed her engagement ring on her lap to apply some hand lotion. When they had parked in the grassy field, she exited the car not thinking about the ring. When she realized the ring was gone, she hunted in and around the car but did not find it. She then called us to help. Being she knew where the car was parked, the search area was small. The problems were tall grass and lots of trash (foil, pull tabs, drink containers, etc.). The hunt was very tedious.  Sid got tired of the constant up and down to check out hits. He got on his hands and knees and crawled around using the pin pointer. The technique worked. A hit with the pointer and glints of shiny metal proved to be the ring. Taloria (also Carrie and Sid) were very excited. After reuniting Taloria with her beautiful ring, lots of hugs, lots of smiles, and lots of pictures, we all headed home.

Lost Gold Wedding Ring Set On The Beach In Ocean City Maryland/Found

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

I received a phone call from Diane asking for my help in finding her lost rings on the beach in Ocean City, Maryland between 143rd and 144th streets. Diane told me that she and her family had been vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland and that while they were on the beach on 08/10/18 she had lost her two wedding rings. Diane said that she had sat down in a beach chair at edge of the water where the waves were breaking and that she fell asleep. Diane said that when she woke up her left hand was laying on the wet sand and that her two wedding rings were missing from her left hand. On 08/14/18, I went to the beach where Diane had lost her rings and began a search for them. Diane had also mentioned that she had been sitting in an area of dry sand prior to going down to the water and she was really unsure of where she had lost the two rings. I did search an area of dry sand based on Diane’s memory of where she had been on the beach that day and the two rings were no where to be found. I then decided to search an area closer to the waters edge and after several passes I was able to recover the lost wedding band. I then knew that the engagement ring should be somewhere close to where the wedding band had been found. I then adjusted my search to an area about a foot away from where I found the band and a little closer to the water. The search adjustment was a success and I was able to locate the engagement ring. After returning home I sent Diane a text with a photo of her two rings and they were identified as being her lost rings. Diane requested that I keep her rings until 08/22/18 and on that date I turned the recovered rings over to Diane’s daughter who had driven to Bethany Beach, Delaware for a day of fun in the sun.

Ring found at Ocean Beach

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Richard called me to say that he accidentally lost his wife Simone’s gold ring in the sand at Ocean Beach,  She had given him the ring so that she wouldn’t go into the ocean with it and lose it! Richard had it on his pinky when the unthinkable happened and it ended up in the dry sand. Never fear, The Ring Finders are here! I grabbed my gear, asked the wife to come along in case there wasn’t any parking, and headed out the door. Turns out there was plenty of parking, so, my wife and I went over and met Richard and Simone. We got the story and the approximate search area where I went to work. Not 30 seconds later, I get a nice solid 9 on my Equinox 800. Poked my TRX pin pointer into the sand and chased a signal for a few seconds until I cornered it and pulled a pretty little gold ring back into the sunlight. A relieved Richard and a happy Simone were now able to enjoy the rest of the day. A pleasure to meet you and thank you for the reward.

Ring lost at Ski Beach Found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Joe was enjoying his visit to Ski Beach on Mission Bay, at least until he lost his platinum wedding ring. He had gone down the the water’s edge to rinse his hands. when he returned back to the fire ring area where they were camped, he shook his hands to remove the water, when his ring flew off. He and others tried in vain to find the ring in the dry sand, but, no luck doing that. I met Joe there the next morning and after a few bottle caps that were reading 13-15, I got an 11 reading on my Equinox that proved to be his ring. A happy Joe is now able to get that ring resized and continue it’s story. Nice to meet you Joe and thank you for the reward.

My wife and I gave a ride to a friend from work few weeks ago and we talked about TheRingFinders and how we help people find there lost jewellery…Flash back a couple of weeks and my wife meets Liz at a concert and they start talking and Beverly mentions TheRingFindersw and her friends expression tells her that she’s going to hear a story of a lost ring and so we begin!

The story was that she gave her boyfriend a nice silver ring 3 months ago and how he lost it a few days ago. They searched for hours but couldn’t find the ring and her boyfriend felt naked without his ring. We made a date to search for the ring and we picked Liz up and she showed us the area the ring was lost in, long grass and hard to find without a detector. I set up my detector and within 3 minutes I had found the ring…

Lost Gold Pendent Found in North Vancouver…

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I got a call from a young man who lost a gold pendent, he told me that it was given to him by his father who was a fireman for 25 years and wore this pendent in over a 1000 calls. It was a gold firefighters helmet with the truck number inscribed on the front of the helmet and two dates on the underside. His father gave him the pendent when he retired and his son started in the same Fire Department and truck the day his father retired.

Needless to say it was very important to find this pendent and continue the story so one day his son could have it and know the history of these two great men that put their lives on the line to help others. So we discuss the search area and i start to detect and I’m getting nails and not much else. he shows me that he made a sifter and was checking for the ring but gave up. He dumped the sifter and guess what…It was in the dirt from the sifter! It’s funny where these irreplaceable items show up!
