This search began with a text from a distraught young lady who unfortunately had her cell phone thrown into a small lake behind the Airbnb that they were staying in. And to make matters worse she ended up throwing her husband’s phone into the same body of water only minutes later…Yikes! It did not take them long to realize the error of their actions and they went online to find some much needed help and that led them to theringfinders.com and my phone number. I met them later that day and listened to their story and then I geared up with my wet suit, scuba boots, long handled beach scoop and my trusty Garrett ATMax waterproof metal detector. They had a fairly good idea where the phones landed in the water but between the weeds and the muck and silt…plus the fact that the bottom dropped away about 15 feet from the shore made it very difficult to search and retrieve any signal. I found the young lady’s phone after 40 minutes of searching and was able to use my long handled scoop to reach down over the sloped area and drag it close enough to retrieve. The young man’s phone was further out and I managed to tread water and swing my metal detector by holding on to the back arm rest portion thus allowing me to push it deeper into the water and my first good signal was an old beer can and then minutes later another large sounding signal that required the use of a long handled fishing net. After 5 attempts of dragging a net full of muck and silt and trying to keep myself lined up to where I got the signal I finally felt what I was looking for in the bottom of the net…the young man’s cell phone!

How I thank God for helping me recover these two phones and for allowing me to be a help and blessing to this young couple! How can I help you? Contact me or a member of theringfinders.com and let’s talk.

Mike and his wife were enjoying their week at a condo in north Florida and somehow he dropped his favorite knife in the sand and it just disappeared without a trace. For the next few days he tried looking for it but the soft sand seemed to have swallowed it up and he pretty much gave up hope of ever seeing it again. My wife and I arrived on Wednesday to spend a few days with friends and of course I had brought my metal detector along and the first evening of our stay I grabbed my metal detector and Xtreme scoop and wandered down onto the beach. I started detecting around the nightly fire pit and that is when Mike and Debbie approached me and Mike told me about his lost pocket knife. I assured him that I would definitely be on the lookout and would let him know if I happened to dig it up. Two hours later and quite a ways down the beach I got a signal that sounded more iron than non-ferros but I chose to investigate none the less and after kicking away a few inches of sand…there was a black pocket knife that had the brand name of Kershaw on the belt clip. That was the exact brand that Mike said he had lost and he could not believe it when I showed him my discovery! Mike’s wife said he carries his knife where ever he goes and has had that knife for many years. It is made right here in America and Mike is carrying it again today!
Again I thank the Lord for helping me find and return Mike’s knife and for giving me the opportunity to be a blessing and being able to meet such a kind and lovely couple!

How can I help you find what you have lost? Even items lost years ago can potentially be found today…if you know the location and the area has not been disturbed too much! Give me a call or call a ring finder near you!

Jonathan was enjoying a warm sunny day at New Smyrna Beach with his family and friends and as they packed up their things and were driving home he noticed that his white gold and platinum wedding ring was not on his finger. He thought back to when he last remembered having his ring and sometime during the day he recalled taking his ring off and either he « thought » he put it in his pocket or may have set it down on a towel…he was not exactly sure! Later he searched through his things and at one point he remembered throwing some items into the trash but for the life of him he could not recall exactly what happened. He found The Ring Finders online and gave me a call. So early the next morning we met at the beach and Jonathan showed me the exact area where he and his family had staked out their two canopy tents and he assured me that he spent most of his time sitting in the shade as he watched all the activity and commotion going on around him. So I began my grid search wide of the area thinking that his ring could have fallen anywhere in the general area. I dug up two small pieces of foil and then 5 minutes later I got a nice strong signal that I was sure had to be Jonathans lost ring. I called him over to watch as I slowly brushed the sand away and a small glimmer of gold revealed itself. Jonathan was thrilled to see his lost ring sitting there in the sand just waiting for him to pick it up and slip it back on his finger.

How I thank God for allowing me to be a help and blessing to Jonathan and the thrill never gets old when finding something that was lost and being able to reunite it again with it’s rightful owner!

Mike’s metal detecting service just for you!  Do not put it off or wait till tomorrow…time will work against you!  Especially if you have lost something in a public place!  We find lost rings, necklaces, pendants, cell phones, property stakes… anything metal!  Call or text…321-363-6029!

Erick wanted to help the folks at a local RV park in Astatula, Florida where a large tree had fallen across a narrow canal that was blocking access to Little Lake Harris.  The large oak tree had been dragged close to the shore which allowed Erick to use a rented chain say and after hours of intense labor, all that was left was the thick three foot section of the trunk in two and a half feet of water.  Erick’s daughter had been videoing the whole process and at the last few minutes of recording, Erick’s hands were very wet and sore and he went to shake the water off of his left hand and that action sent his beautiful wedding ring into the water just a few feet from where he was standing.

This is not the first call I have had from Erick to help him find his lost wedding ring!  On this occasion as soon as his ring hit the water he said, « I need to call Mike! »   It was late in the day and as I talked to Erick I could hear the panic and desperation in his voice.  So under an absolutely beautiful full moon I arrived at the location all geared up with wet suit, scuba boots and my trusty Garrett AT Max metal detector and waded into the cool dark water and began my search.  It took a few minutes and then I remembered Erick saying that his daughter had recorded the whole ordeal!  As soon as I saw the video and located the one lonely lily pad right next to where his ring hit the water….it look only seconds and my metal detector beeped loudly, indicating a shallow, strong, gold signal!

Erick was overcome with sentimental emotion and the bear hug that I received was evident how much his wedding ring meant to him and how much he loves his beautiful wife of 20 years!

Have you lost a ring..or phone..or keys..or chain..or something metal?  Call or text me ASAP at 321-363-6029 and lets talk about how we can help you!

Lost gold wedding ring in the grass in Palm Coast, Florida…Found with a metal detector and returned to happy owner!

Mike was doing some yard work and had just replanted a small ornamental bush and since the ground was super wet from the recent hurricane Milton, his hands were full of dirt and mud.  He went to the hose on the side of his house and rinsed off his hands and shook them to get the final extra water off and that action caused his wedding ring to drop directly into the thick St. Augustine grass.  He actually heard it hit the grass at his feet and proceeded to look for it but his ring had completely disappeared.  He then got his rake, thinking that he could rake out the loose grass and his ring would reveal itself but soon realized that method was not working out so well either.

Later that evening he typed into Google, « How to find a ring in the grass » and that led him to theringfinders.com website and my number.  I agreed to meet Mike and his dear wife of 28 years the following day and that is when he showed me the exact area where he was standing when he dropped his ring.  It only took two minutes to cover the small area and the only signal I got was a strong gold like signal that revealed where Mike’s lost wedding ring was hiding.  I gave Mike my Garrett pin pointer and showed him the spot and he did the rest.  All smiles and a huge sigh of relief and another very happy ending to a tense situation!

What a joy it is to be able to help reunite people’s lost sentimental rings with the rightful owners!  Lost something and need help?

Paul was doing some yard work, like pulling up weeds and putting new plugs of grass in, and after a few hours of sweating and working hard he noticed that his wedding ring was no longer on his finger. Paul had previously injured his middle two fingers on his right hand and was using his left hand to do most of the work and the obvious motion that caused his ring to come off was the pulling and throwing of the weeds into a pile. And thankfully he had saved all of the rubbish to be thrown out later. He and his wife tried searching the yard on their hands and knees thinking maybe, just maybe they could spot it but Paul’s ring had just seemed to disappear! That evening Paul’s wife went online and purchased a cheap metal detector and they spent the next day trying to figure out how to work it and decipher the strange sounds that it made. The next evening they came across theringfinders.com and gave me a call.

After hearing Paul’s story I decided to do a thorough search of the area where he thought was the most likely place where he felt it could have been lost. I gave him four cones so he could mark out the general area and I set about doing a tight grid search going back and forth…being careful to overlap each pass. Paul stayed right there watching my every move and after 15 minutes I got a super clean gold signal reading very shallow and I told Paul to come over and check out what was hiding just under the grass! Paul was so, so thankful and immediately picked it up and put it back on his finger and smiled a big smile of relief!

I thank God for allowing me the opportunity to help Paul and his wife! How can I help you? Call or text me ASAP at 321-363-6029!

Kissimmee Florida lost wedding/engagement ring Found by Ring Finder Mike McInroe

Angela had given her wedding/engagement ring to her husband to put in his pocket for safe keeping and while pacing back and forth in their yard while talking on his phone…somehow her precious ring just disappeared. Angela thought that maybe her ring dropped somewhere in the house and she looked everywhere and could not find it. Later they determined it very well could have come out of his pocket while walking in the yard. Determined to find her ring Angela purchased a metal detector and tried her best but it made way too much noise and proved unhelpful. Again she went online and searched for a metal detecting service and a story from theringfinders.com website came up and she found my number. We talked and I set a time later that day to meet and do a proper search. Their yard was not very big and the grass was quite short so I began searching the area along the side of the house and made my way to the back yard. Twenty minutes later I got another pull tab signal and I could just barely see Angela’s ring hiding in the grass! I called her over to see what I had just found and she was stunned and speechless….for about 5 seconds! And her beautiful smile is what I was hoping to see and the joy of being reunited with her engagement ring and wedding ring was a site I will not soon forget! I am so very grateful to be able to help people find their lost rings! Have you lost something recently and need a ring finders help?

I was called to help Will and Rachel look for their lost diamond engagement ring and they described to me that it went flying across the yard and was nowhere to be found! (Every search for rings is completely different and this one was no exception!). Will told me that he had even bought himself a cheap metal detector and spent a few frustrating hours trying to figure out how to operate the machine. Later that evening they decided to go online and search for someone to help them and they discovered theringfinders.com website. He read some of my stories and decided to give me a call and that led to meeting up the next day at their home. On this occasion I decided to invite my dear wife, of 42 years, to go along and she agreed to accompany me! Will and Rachel were very pleasant, friendly and super thankful to have more help in their desperate search and after a few minutes I began my systematic grid search of the front yard. I spent over an hour covering the whole front lawn, the flower beds, the neighbors yard and even out into the street….and no ring! It was there somewhere but I just could not seem to find it. I mentioned to my dear wife to take Rachel and look over the street really good and then to check the other side of the road as well. A few minutes later we heard Rachel let out a scream, « I found It! »! And sure enough there it was on the edge of the street laying plainly in the open so anyone could see it…waiting for Rachel to come along and pick it up! How I thank God for allowing us to be a help and encouragement to Will and Rachel and to see them smiling and happy once again!

Call or text me ASAP and lets talk about how I can help you!

Lost ring in the grass, Winter Park, Florida….Found!

Dave’s lost and found ring story began on January 17th, 2022, after some very cold and windy weather! Here in Florida we have allot of Spanish moss that grows on many of our trees and high winds will occasionally knock clumps of it off and leave the ground covered in small piles that need to be picked up. Being as it was cooler and a bit wet Dave could feel that his ring was a bit looser than normal but he wanted to clear the debris off of his yard before it got dark. As he zig zagged across the grass gathering handfuls of moss and sticks he would then walk to the edge of his yard and toss them into the woods. Later that evening he noticed his wedding ring was not on his finger and thinking back on what probably happened…he was almost positive it must have come off while clearing his yard! So the next day he began looking for his ring and it soon dawned on him how extremely difficult it would be to actually spot it in the leaves and grass. He realized he needed the help of someone with a metal detector and that led him to « Theringfinders.com »!

I met Dave a few days later and he showed me where he walked and we realized he basically covered his whole yard…and he has a very large and beautiful back yard! I first concentrated on the areas where he threw the debris and then checked the shallow water of the lake. That took a good hour and a half and then darkness fell. I said my goodbyes and reassured Dave I would be back to start systematically covering the yard. So I returned a few days later with my Garrett ATMax metal detector and switched to my large coil and began a tight grid search pattern. Two hours later it got dark and again I had to give up. Again I told Dave I would be back again in a week or so. Two weeks passed and I met Dave for a third try—hoping and praying that God would allow me to find Dave’s lost 20 year old wedding ring! I only had a quarter of the yard left to search and 15 minutes into my grid search I got a sharp, shallow signal and using my pin pointer I got that solid, beautiful, steady beep that we all love to hear…and there to my surprise was Dave’s lost wedding ring, just sitting there in the grass…perfectly camouflaged! I went around the house to tell Dave to come see what I had found, and you can imagine how happy he was to have his ring back again!

Thrown wedding ring in grass, St. Augustine, Fl….Found with a metal detector!

Rings are lost in all manner of ways! Some fall off while doing yard work and others are lost while playing catch with the kids. Other rings end up in the grass while frolicking with the dog or during a volleyball game or in the case of our friend Andy…his ring was thrown! That’s right…many a ring gets launched into yards, lakes, woods, out car windows and many times they are thrown around ones own home. Most often I am able to get a good idea as to the general area and a thorough search usually produces the lost ring. There are times however that I have a person do a test throw to get a better, more accurate idea as to where the item landed. I use copper plumbing rings with a small piece of bright surveyors ribbon tied to it and it is quite easy to see where it lands. This technique has worked very well on more than one occasion!

Andy was a bit embarrassed and I tried to put his mind at ease by reassuring him that this sort of thing happens often and the most important thing now was to find his lost ring. Having been married for only a few months he was anxious for me to do my thing! I put out some small flags to mark off the area and began to do a tight grid search. It only took a few minutes to get that shallow crisp signal I was looking for. Even after pinpointing the exact area where his ring was hiding I had to really look to see it. Andy was thrilled to see his ring again and I was honored to be involved in getting it back to him.

Maybe someone you know has thrown a ring recently and needs help.

Call or text me ASAP and let’s talk.

Mike McInroe…ready and willing to look for your lost item!
