Lost Gold Hawaiian Heirloom Wedding Band at Ulua Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a late night call from fellow Ring Finder Kai. Siu & Cherie from Las Vegas contacted him about the Husband losing his Gold Hawaiian Heirloom Wedding Band in shallow water at Ulua Lagoon while swimming and diving into the water. I was heading there the next morning so I told Kai I’d contact them to get some details and start the hunt first light. Cherie answered the phone and said the ring would be in waist deep water about three feet from the rocks on the extreme left side of the lagoon. This should have been an easy hunt but the ring was no where in the general vicinity. I called Cherie remembering she said they were staying in Makakilo which is a few short minutes from the resort. Her and Siu decided to come down to make sure we had the location correct. Guess what? It was way off. More like 30 yards from the rock wall. Siu drew a grid in the sand and I recommenced the search. After hunting that grid for 15 minutes and not finding their ring, I did find a nice Silver Hawaiian Style Ring, I asked Cherie which direction should I expand the grid. She confirmed with Siu I should go more right. Low and behold on the second leg of the expanded grid I got a boomer on the Nox and in one scoop there was Siu’s amazing ring in the scoop. Vacation saved and beaming smiles from this happy couple. Aloha to Siu & Cherie!

Justean lost her ring while swimming in Lake Okanagan, she sent a great picture of the location. Without it I would never have found the ring, It was next to a weedy location. I love returning lost items.

**** Raloul and Lisa vacationing from Germany spent their last day with their kids at Baby Beach in Dana Point, CA.  Here we go again, Lisa took her wedding ring set off putting them in a pocket of her shirt. After a couple hours playing with her kids in front if their beach camp. When Lisa reached into her pocket both wedding rings were missing. 

Someone on the beach noticed both Raloul and Lisa searching through the sand. They told the couple how to contact me to help them find their rings. After they called me they agreed to stay in the asea till I arrived. 

We met on the beach less than an hour after the initial call. I this case, getting to the location could not be an advantage. Many people still on the small beach. Also, part of the sandy area was not soft sand. The rings may not have been under the sand and could have been picked up by one of the many people on the beach.

There was some searchable spots around the sides and in front of their beach tent. It took about 15 minutes to clear those open spots. Then just before I ran out of space to hunt, I got the first ring. The second ring was just two feet away. Both rings we’re less than two inches deep and only a few inches from the people set up next to them. The search worked out well with little wasted time. If we didn’t find the rings. I know I was willing to wait till everyone left the beach to complete the search.

Both Lisa and Raloul were excited and happy to have their wedding rings back. It would not have been terrible to return to Germany without Lisa’s rings. Another happy day on the beach with several beach goers witnessing this ring recovery. Most people say they didn’t know the ring finders metal detecting service exists.

Lost Engagement Ring From Emerald Isle Pier Found By Crystal Coast Ring Finders

Well, Dog Gone!

Jayme was on the Sound side of Emerald Isle on a hot sunny day.  She removed her ring to apply sunscreen and placed it onto the blanket on the bench.  A small dog that came along for a swim was also on the bench and moved the towel causing the ring to fall between the pier slots and into the murky waters.  A plea on Facebook once again helped connect Jayme with Crystal Coast Ring Finders a proud member of the global organization The Ring Finders.  I quickly went to work in he hip deep water and after numerous iron signals, my Minelab CTX-3030 located a non-ferrous item near the drop area.  I used my pinpointer to go underwater and felt it vibrate all of the way back out of the water with Jayme’s engagement ring in hand!  Jayme’s tears were a sure sign of how important this sign of love means to her!

Husband lost his wedding ring when throwing ball for dogs, who kept me company during the search.
This is another case of, « they are rarely found where you think they will be »
Told me he actually saw the ring come off and go up in the air, searched the area where he said it should have come down for about an hour with no success.
I actually found it after about 3 hours about 30ft to left of where he threw the ball, if not found where you think it should be, need to think out of the box and hunt everywhere. Hard to figure how it got there but happy ending.

The husband purchased a metal detector to find it however the way it was set up it would have eliminated it.
She actually looked like she was going to faint when I gave it to her, wish I could have captured her excitement.

On Saturday 8/14/2021 Richard Browne and I were out looking for a wedding band and returned it successfully to its owner. When we returned, we had another call to go out on, and it was a lost wedding band that the woman had on her finger since 1965. Very sentimental as one could expect. It was lost while playing ball in the back yard with her Grandson the day before. Rick & myself got there to be greeted by Roberto, His Wife Jaclyn and Ryan, who was there while it was lost. Ryan a small Pirate in his own special way, was very enthused, and very into metal detecting helped out with the search. After about 45 minutes, and all of us on our hands and knees with pin pointers searching the flower beds, I had the notion to check over the other side of the fence, hey you never know rite? Maybe she throws harder than we think. Luck would be in our favor, low and behold the ring was rite on top of the grass, and on the other side of the fence… Another great save and one for the Ring Finders. A great three ring return day yesterday. What a great feeling to tell someone that we have it in our hands and we can’t wait to get it back.

Rick Browne of the Ring Finders called early and asked if I wanted to help him locate a Gold Chain lost in dry sand the day before. I jumped at the opportunity to help out. We arrived and found Alec at the parking lot waiting for us and we followed him to the area.  I asked Lindy his young daughter to stand where she thought she may have lost it, and upon my very first swing with my detector, I got a very familiar tone.  5 second hunt literally, Rick barely had time to turn his on.  It’s all in fun, this is what makes our hobby a great one. Returns of this nature are very special. This young lady will always remember this I’m sure.  I asked if she will wear it to the beach ever again. Lindy’s reply was NO.

Lost Men’s Gold Wedding Ring – Kitty Hawk – Outer Banks, NC – Found

I got a call from Kristin at about 4:30.  She said that her husband had lost his gold ring, which was his late father’s ring, on the beach.  The tone of her voice indicated that she was very concerned.  I asked her the normal questions about if it was in the water and if she know about where it was lost.  She indicated that it was in dry sand and that they thought of buying a detector but the stores where out of stock.  I told her that I could be there in just a few minutes.

When I arrived they told me that the ring had been placed in a cupholder of the chair.  Kristin and Tim showed me where their chairs where before they picked them up.  I fired up the Minelab and in just a few sweeps had a great hit.  It was the ring.

Engagement Ring Lost & Found in Lake Michigan

I received a text from Rebekah Saturday evening after losing her engagement ring in waist deep water in Lake Michigan at Holland State Park.  She and Mike had only been engaged 3 weeks and was desperate for help to retrieve it.  I was able to meet them at the park the following day but when I got close to the park the traffic backup to get in was a half mile long.  Hoping I wouldn’t have to park outside the park and hike in with my detecting gear I was let into the park after about a 20 minute wait.  Rebekah had a pretty good idea where the ring had slipped off so I began a methodical search.  Normally, it would take 30-40 minutes to find a target given they knew approximately where they ring was lost.  This search, however, turned out to be the longest search I’ve ever done.  After 2 hours, Mike and Rebekah had to leave and I said I’d stay another hour, if I hadn’t found it by then I’d return the following weekend and try again.  An hour later, just as I was about to give up, I got a solid signal and saw her beautiful white gold and sapphire ring in my scoop.
