I received a text message from a young lady who said her husband lost his gold wedding band (only married three months) in the backyard.
She went on to say she posted it on a Facebook group and a local person came to help but couldn’t  find it. They found me online and reached out to see if I could help.

I showed up to the backyard and met he young man, heard the story of the ring, how it was gifted to him by his father on his wedding day. It was his father’s ring he could not wear it because he was allergic to the gold. You can imagine how sick he felt by losing it. He was a little freaked out that they were going to have Thanksgiving next weekend at his dad’s house.

I asked my typical questions, found out where the person did the searching and after no ring on my search I knew I had to start moving a pile of lumber that was stacked in a work area net to the patio.

After spending 20 minutes, moving some 2×4’s I saw the ring laying there in its glory!

Lost Tantalum & Gold Wedding Band at Aulani Resort Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began Monday when I got a text from Jorge who was on vacation from Los Angeles and staying at the Aulani Resort at Ko Olina.  The Hotel had given him my number as the resort’s detectorist.  His text said,  » Long story short I lost a ring by the beach and was wondering if you’ve gone by recently and might have found it.  It was lost a week ago. »  Turns out the ring was actually lost by his friend Jose who had given up looking for it a week earlier, returned to LA  and asked Jorge if he could check the « Lost & Found » which put him in contact with me.  I got some details about the ring and the area lost and decided to hunt after work Tuesday.  Since Jose mentioned struggling with his young daughter getting her ready to go to the beach and after removing his ring to apply suntan lotion, after the chaos subsided, he realized his ring had disappeared somewhere in the dry sand below the Ko Olina Chapel.  I started by moving the beach chairs where I assumed he would have set the bag down the ring was on.  No luck there.  I expanded the grid search out towards the chapel and on the third leg I got an excellent tone on the Manticore.  After one scoop there was Jose’s unique Tantalum & Gold Ring in the scoop.  I returned to my car to give Jorge the good news.  We decided to meet at the Chapel for the return.  Jorge was very grateful I found his friend Jose’s ring and asked if we could FaceTime with him in LA.  « I said of course! »  When Jose appeared on the phone and Jorge introduced him to me I could tell he was extremely relieved and very appreciative of the ring finder’s service.  I’m still waiting on a selfie from Jose when Jorge gives him back his ring in LA next week.  Aloha to Jose & Jorge!

Marisa and her family were enjoying the day at the beach in Avalon, NJ, when her hearing aid fell in the sand. Despite searching for it with no luck, she remembered that she had called me before for help. I had found her husband’s wedding band when I had previously been called for assistance. As a result, Marisa had my contact information. After arriving at the beach, she showed me the location where they had been sitting. With a few swings of the metal detector, we successfully located the hearing aid.

Wedding ring lost in the sand, Ortley Beach NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

CALL ASAP 609-713-3926  Nam called wondering if I would be able to help find a wedding ring that slipped off her finger. They were enjoying a fantastic day at the beach when one of the guys in their group went into the water. He took off his wedding ring and handed it to Nam, so he didn’t loose it in the ocean. She place it on her thumb as it was quite large, and headed back to the area all friends were sitting. After a short while Nam realized the ring was missing, and it must have slipped off her thumb, due to it being quite large. This happens often, as its not something your used to wearing.  Anyhow, we decided it would be best if I came out right away, even though the beach was packed, because she was certain of the few spots it could be. I parked my truck at their house, and we walked down to the beach, and holly cow was it ever packed. I told her to walk the exact same path and I would follow right behind. I was getting signals from every chair, umbrella, etc, all the way along the path, but nothing that sounded like the ring we were searching for.  When we got to the spot where she was sitting, I searched that entire area and still came up empty handed. A few people graciously moved back a bit and bingo, there it was, very close to a chair that had overpowered the signal of the ring. The entire area gave an applause of success, like being on the edge of your seat in a movie. It was lunch time, so everyone walked back to the house, where I gladly accepted their offer for some lunch and a cold drink.

Wedding Ring Lost On Emerald Isle Beach Saved Just In Time Before Trip Home

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Bill was taking one last swim in the Atlantic Ocean before heading back to Colorado.  Before swimming, he took off his gold & platinum wedding band and rolled it up in his shirt and placed a towel over it on the path to the beach house.  Upon returning, he noticed it was missing and his wife contacted me to help.  I headed there as soon as possible.  They were in the process of checking out of the rented beach house and needed to catch a flight back home.  Bill lead me to the area that was hand searched and I switched on my machine and made my 1st pass.  When I turned to begin a second trail, I received a very loud tone beneath the sand.  The pinpointer did it’s job and Bill’s ring was lifted up from the dry sand.  I hope they were able to make their flight back in time as it was a stressing day already.

Lost wedding band in the sand, Lavallette NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

I received a call late one evening from Lisa. She had just arrived back home after a nice weekend at the beach with her family. She was entering the water holding hands with her daughter, and when she bent down to grab a shell, their hands slipped apart, and off the ring slid. With the waves washing up, it immediately disappeared, to who knows where. After looking for quite a bit with no luck, they had to pack up and head home. She knew all the right things to do to mark the location, which she conveyed to me on the phone, and we agreed to give it a shot on the next low tide. Its obvious now she had the spot marked perfectly, because I had the ring within 45 min of starting my search. It was to far for Lisa to travel, so we decided the best thing would be for me to mail them back, so I packed them up, and by the next morning they were back where they belong.

*** Che is visiting Huntington Beach from Puerto Rico. He was making surf movies on the south side of Huntington Beach Pier. His son was going out with his surfboard for a photo shoot and handed Che his platinum / diamond wedding band to keep safe.

It was just before sunset when they finished the photo shoot. They walked off the beach to the parking lot. That’s when Che’s son asked for the ring. It had slipped off his dad’s finger, somewhere between the waterline and the parking lot. ( more than 150 yards )

A call to me at 8:30pm let us set up a meeting at the location where he had set up his camera tripod.. This is where he had spent the most time and the best place to start before the tide comes in. After a few minutes I got a great signal from something metal in the sand. A quick scoop in the sand revealed the precious and very sentimental platinum wedding band.

Che was very relieved and happy to have his son’s ring to give back. Needless to say he was feeling guilty that he had lost the ring. Now he is the hero for getting a metal detector specialist to find the important ring.

Available to help you now, I can answer any questions you have about how this service works.. “I WILL TRY ANYWHERE “

Lost ring recovered Central City Nebraska

  • from Lincoln (Nebraska, United States)

Elizabeth was out in the beautiful country enjoying a walk with her young son and dog when they ventured off the main road and through the tall grass in the ditch. When they eventually got back on the road she noticed her wedding ring of 7 years was not on her finger. Her husband tried all he could think of, weed whipping the ditch, burning it all off and buying a metal detector. The ring they felt was lost for good, even to the point of looking in jewelry stores for a replacement. That is when Elizabeth stumbled across Theringfinders.com. I took my partner, Nelson my son, so we could cover the most area in the shortest time. 35 minutes later we get the signal. We were honored to be a part of the story of returning an irreplaceable symbol to them. Rob 402-580-6933

Ring Found in Backyard, Lake Odessa, MI.

  • from Holland (Michigan, United States)

Back in July, 2023, Devin and Garrett were playing with a Frisbee when she noticed her ring was missing. Gregg and I went out there the first time and spent a couple of hours searching for the ring with no luck. Today, we met Garrett out there and he had marked a few areas with flags that he thought the ring could be in. In a few minutes I got an iffy signal and decided I’d better dig it to see what it was. I used a screwdriver and with the first attempt this diamond stone popped up and stared me in the face. I signaled Gregg and we called Garrett over who was using his own metal detector. I hid the ring in my hand and ran my hand over the coil on his metal detector and then opened my hand for the big surprise. A beautiful rose gold ring with a diamond on top. Garrett went to the house to tell everybody about the find. We gathered the family together for a few pictures and bathed in the smiles and laughter of finding the ring.

This lost silver wedding ring was recovered and returned at Wrightsville Beach NC.

I was out metal detecting on the beach on Sunday 9/24/2023 looking for a nice woman’s ring when I was approached by a gentleman about another  lost ring who explained he lost a wedding ring while in the water surfing. He explained the details of how he lost it. I handed him a business card and explained that I am a member of theringfinders.com metal detecting  service and that we help people recover there lost jewelry and other items with the use of a metal detector. However I also explained that since the ring was lost in deep water that there was not much I could do but would keep a eye out. And if the ring turned up I would notify him. I also had him text me a picture of the ring. since it was Identical to his wife’s ring he sent me a picture of hers. I agreed to pass the info along to others detectorist I know in the area in case it washed up and was found. Several hours later I was able to recover the ring which was not easy but glad I was able to find it. I’m always happy when I can help someone. The next day I met with him on Monday 9/25/2023 to return the ring. As it turns out the ring was returned on his anniversary.
