John wife & family from Poole were enjoying a day out on the beach when John felt his ring slip from his finger in the sea.

After a painful search John gave up and sadly pondered the loss of his wedding ring. Over a week since he lost it he came across theringfinders.com and gave me a call. Some photos taken on the day of the loss helped me narrow down the search area. My first attempt yielded nothing but on the second- success!

I met John a few days later to return the ring and was thrilled to be reunited with it again. John promised to make a donation to the Margaret Green Animal Sanctuary shortly.

  • from Bel Air (Maryland, United States)

While metal detecting on the beach, I was approached by a woman who had lost her husband’s wedding band.  He was going to go swimming and asked his wife to hold his wedding band.  she put it in a pouch with some other belongings and when she went to get something out, her husband’s wedding band flew out.  She had a pretty good idea of where the ring landed and ultimately I was able to recover it.

Lost ring in Arches National Park: Found

Kevin and Kristen brought their children from Vermont all the way to Southern Utah to visit Moab and the beautiful red rock country. While they were in Arches National Park, Kevin took off his 18K gold wedding band so it wouldn’t get scratched as they climbed around the famous Double Arch. Kristen held the ring, but unfortunately, it disappeared into the soft, red sand. They looked around in the sand, and some helpful onlookers helped out, too, but they couldn’t find the ring. Kristen contacted me through TheRingFinders.com, and we talked through our options. Metal detecting is against the rules in national parks, so Kristen and Kevin talked to several rangers to ask for permission for me to find the ring in the park with my metal detectors. They made several calls to several people at several locations, and they were able to get permission!

It’s more than a 3-hour drive from my home to Arches National Park. I left my home at 5:00 am this morning and met up with Kristen, and with Matt, an Arches National Park ranger who was assigned to accompany us as we looked for the ring. Matt’s job was to make sure we were careful, and to let other Park visitors understand that we were metal detecting in the Park with permission. After about 10 minutes of searching, we found the ring in the sand! Metal detecting in a national park was a unique experience for me. I’m grateful to the National Park Service and to Matt for being willing to give us permission and help to find the lost ring and save a family vacation!

Cady texted me on Father’s Day…wishing me first a Happy Father’s Day…and then asked if I could possibly help her find her lost engagement ring. She explained that the day before she was out walking her dog when all of a sudden the dog bolted, jerking the leash from her hand and in the process the leash pulled her diamond engagement ring right off of her finger. She actually saw her ring bounce off of the sidewalk and into the grass. Her first thought was to grab her ring but as she watched her dog run across the street she figured she needed to catch her dog first, so he would not get hurt or lost and then she could come back and pick up her ring. She tried to make a mental note of where she was when she dropped her ring but everything happened so fast! After catching her little dog she went back down the sidewalk and began looking for her ring…and she could not find it! The sidewalk area began to look all the same and somehow her ring had just plain disappeared. Cady and her husband looked for a long time and finally gave up. Desperate for help she typed « Ringfinder » into google and up popped theringfinders.com and one of my stories about a recent search and recovery!

I met Cady the next day and she walked me through the area and explained what all happened. I set out two flags along the sidewalk and reassured her that I would do my very best to find her ring. She had a phone interview coming up and I let her know that I would look as long as necessary and I would be there when she was finished. Five minutes later I sent her the most wonderful news and she came running out to see for herself!

What an honor and privilege to be involved in reuniting a precious lost item to its rightful owner and see the thrill and relief and joy that comes over them. Hard to keep my own composure at times like this! I thank God for allowing me to bring such happiness to Cady’s life!

How can I help you? Call or text me ASAP!

Lost Gold Ring Found In Flint Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Return To Sender……

…..Got a call from Terry, a postman who said his ring fell off somewhere on his route. I told him I was certified, insured and offered special handling along with same day deliver of the lost item. Sensing the priority, I airmailed myself to the ZIP code in question. Arriving at the curbside I turned on my MXT metal detector and began tracking the lost item. Scanning his mail bag and cart revealed nothing. Developing a sort plan, we decided to begin at an address block and start the clock. Scanning the curb strips and grass areas covered quite a few homes. Nearing the end of the route the tracking number came in on the call window of my tracker and revealed a match. Reaching down in the grass revealed Terry’s lost ring! With delivery confirmation confirmed, Terry was thrilled with the handback service and that a change of address wasn’t needed. A picture for the post card followed.

Lost Ring Found in Calgary. Making it to 50 years

  • from Cochrane (Alberta, Canada)

On  a Sunday afternoon, Punam and her mom go for a walk. Why is it special?  It was her mom’s first time out in over a year due to Covid. Not long after starting, her mom noticed her ring missing. That started a 2 hour unsuccessful hunt. With no luck, they found me online.  I talked with her husband for a while and it was suggested that we wait until Monday. I was a little pushy and said, « Time is our enemy ».  With lost items, that is very true. So we agreed to do it same day, especially since I told him that there was no obligation if we didn’t find it. With a little time and good information…….we were able to find it.Watch the video for her priceless reaction and an emotional response.
