I received a text from Danny last night about his white gold wedding band that he lost while on the beach in Ocean City, NJ.
He wasn’t sure if was lost in the sand or ocean, so I started detecting at the approximate location where he was sitting.
Approximately 20 minutes into the search, the ring was found! Danny was thrilled to have his wedding band back on his finger!
This ring find began Thursday when I got an email from Makenna at Ko Olina Operations. Her email asked if I could reach out to a Aulani guest named Joseph from San Dimas, California who just lost his Platinum Wedding Band in five feet of water while floating. I called the number she left me and Joseph gave me more details to the search area and he was sure it was in five feet of water near to the paddle board buoys. Five feet depth is difficult to detect walking so I told Joseph I would hunt Friday morning at low tide in scuba gear with my Excalibur. The lagoon was calm when I started the scuba grid search and after about an hour and a fully expanded grid I didn’t find the ring. When I surfaced and was standing in chest deep water a young lady in the water asked if I was looking for « The Ring »? I said « Yes » but I’ve searched the entire area with no luck. Then she says the guy Joe that lost the ring yesterday was only in waist deep water. She was sure of it as they were helping them look for the ring. Okay, I’ll go get my Nox and hunt the shallow waters. Sure enough on the second leg of my grid search in waist deep water I got a booming « 13 » on the Nox and in one scoop there was Joe’s Platinum Band in my scoop. The young lady was gone so I wasn’t able to thank her but I immediately called Joe to tell him the good news. Joe had already changed hotels to Waikiki so as you can see he just swung by my house this afternoon with his lovely wife and I returned his ring. Aloha to Joe!

Samantha along with her husband, daughter and two dogs were visiting Honeymoon Island State Park from the Gainesville area about three hours away where they had recently moved from New Hampshire. In the process of throwing a rock in the water for her dogs to chase after, both Samantha’s engagement ring and wedding band flew off of her finger into the water. Fortunately she was able to recover the engagement ring just a few feet ahead at the edge of the water but the white gold with diamonds band flew further out into almost knee deep water. After a frantic search in near dark conditions with the park ready to close, Samantha and her family could not find the band. Another person on the beach at the time suggested to Samantha to reach out to me and after finding me through the Ring Finders page she messaged me on the way home that night. She provided enough information about the location and tide time of loss that I was able to begin the search the next morning. I sent Samantha photos of the beach area and she marked them up to help better define the location of loss so I began grid searching the water. I searched for a few hours in the morning and several in the afternoon until a storm ran me off but I found only a couple of pairs of sunglasses, a toy plane, fishing weights, several coins and some beach trash. Even though I knew I was looking for white gold, I dig every target that is just several inches deep. I messaged Samantha and told her I would be back out searching the next morning with Jim, a fellow detectorist who I had met on the beach during a previous search and recovery. After a 45 minute search the next morning with me on one end of the search area and Jim on the other, I hit a target that gave me a promising 5-6 on the VDI of my Equinox 600 in about knee deep water and after a couple of scoops I had recovered Samantha’s wedding band! I messaged Samantha with several photos and told her that her prayers had been answered. Samantha and her family made it back to Honeymoon Island a few days later and I met them there to return the wedding band. Samantha, thank you for contacting me and trusting me to recover your ring. John had lost his gold wedding band two month prior. John was spending the day at a family member’s house playing with the kids all over the yard. This is when the ring fell off without John realizing it was gone. This ring had very special meaning as it belonged to his Grandfather. Was able to find this 3 kt. solitaire diamond pendant , in grass, that had been lost during an outdoor wedding. Great repatriation, for an heirloom that had been in their family for generations. Glad it worked out for them ! 
Jacob took his peddle boat out on the lake and his cellphone dropped in the water . The water was 4 to 5 feet deep, but he could not find the phone. He actually called in a dive team with scuba to search and they did not find the phone.
I arranged to search the next day. My first find was a Panasonic large case sized cellphone. After 2 more hours in the water I retrieved his IPhone 12 cell phone. Jacob was elated I had found his phone as it needed to be returned to his workplace as the phone contained sensitive information . Another successful search that proves the Ringfinders find more than just rings!
Lajuan texted Crystal Coast Ring Finders about his ring he recently lost while cutting grass. He believed it would be near the road ditch where his mower had gotten stuck that day. After an hour of searching he front yard scrupulously, a short search in the backyard near the back privacy fence produced his wonderful ring. The day was heating up quickly, so it was a perfect time to ring his doorbell and return his ring that had been lost for days.

Got a text from Stephen last week about his gold wedding band being lost for two weeks at a part that him and his family were at. They had a volleyball net set up on one side of the park and provided me some photos of the area where they had been. After about 3 mins, I had located his ring during the making of a TIKTOK video. I had planned on doing as many PART’s as needed until I found his ring. Was happy it only took one before I found it.
We met two days later and I was able to get his ring back to him where it belonged.

I recieved a text from a woman about 3 weeks ago whose husband had lost his class ring somewhere in their house. I explained that I wouldn’t be much help in finding the ring inside, because of all the competing larger metal items. I gave her some tips on where to look and sent her some good luck wishes. Well, she texted me again with good and bad news. Her husband had found his ring but… it was lost again, this time outside. We made plans to look for it the following day. When I arrived, her husband recounted how he had thrown a large stick into the brush and ivy along their property and watched his ring fly off. He had a pretty good idea of where it landed, so this was a pretty quick hunt. A couple of swings and the target was under my coil! Happy to reunite another ring and owner!! 🙂
Rick, Jim, & Myself we’re out searching for recent drops today in our local ponds. Rick’s wife Jayne called my phone and left an Urgent message for us to return a call that she had just received, saying that we were recommended, by a local Metal-Detecting shop on Cape Cod, to help find a Wedding Band that was lost about an hour earlier on a beach. I called back immediately and Jessica picked up the phone, she proceeded saying that they were all down on the beach earlier, and that a friend of hers named Louis, had dropped his wedding band in the dry sand, they were wondering if we could help find it. I said yes but no guarantees. They were not to familiar with the area, and wasn’t sure what parking lot they were in. I told them to meet us there in an hour. We all jumped in the truck and headed down 25 miles away an got there earlier than expected, we met Lewis and Anton after about a 15 wait. Glad we waited for them to show up, as we were walking down the path and got onto the beach, Louis had mentioned that he put a stick down into the sand, where he thought he had dropped it. I asked him to please stand exactly where he thought it fell and not to move, I then proceeded to turn on my machine and took less than five seconds to receive my first signal, that just happened to be his beautiful 14 karat Rose Gold Wedding Band. We were all very happy to see it back on his finger that quickly. That’s where it belongs. Louis actually said incredible, just incredible we were all looking for over an hour on our hands snd knees to no avail. We were glad that Jessica called the Ring Finders.
