Amazing Ring Recovery at the Dock Port Dalhousie

  • from Toronto (Ontario, Canada)

What started as a relaxing day on the water almost turned into a heartbreaking memory for one couple — but thanks to a bit of determination and the right tools, the story had a happy ending.

The couple had been enjoying the summer sun, swimming off the back of their boat while docked. As the boyfriend helped his girlfriend out of the water, disaster struck — his ring slipped off his finger and disappeared into the water below.

That’s when I got the call.

As a diver with a metal detector, I’ve seen my fair share of tricky recoveries, but this one was a challenge. Poor visibility, thick weeds, and murky water made the search feel almost impossible. But I wasn’t about to give up.

After methodically sweeping the area with my detector, a faint signal came through. I carefully reached down through the weeds and muck — and there it was. The ring, still intact, glinting faintly beneath the water.

The look of relief and excitement on their faces made it all worth it. Another successful recovery, another great story, and a reminder that sometimes, even when things seem lost, they’re not gone for good.

Received a message from Victor last Sunday. He explained that he lost a rose gold ring while at the beach last Saturday. Victor had already returned back home to Philadelphia but he did mark his location with a “pin” from his cell phone. He wasnt sure if it was in the dry sand or water but he did believe it may have dropped where he was sitting. Took a ride over Monday morning and proceeded to the coordinates he provided. After a brief search I heard a faint signal and dug down about 1ft, out came Victors ring! After sharing the good news I shipped the ring back to him and he received it yesterday. Another happy client!!
Victors Review:
“I am still amazed by Jeff’s work and diligence in helping me recover my lost wedding band. When my ring went missing at the beach, I thought for sure that I’d never see it again. Jeff found my ring a full 24+ hours later buried at least A FOOT in sand. I’m relieved that there are caring people out there like Jeff. I’m forever grateful for his service and would recommend him a million times over.”

Colin and his family were enjoying a sunny vacation in Sea Isle City, NJ. Like many beachgoers, they spent the day relaxing, swimming, and playing in the sand. Before heading out to the beach, Colin applied sunscreen and tied his wedding ring to the drawstring of his bathing suit. It seemed like a safe spot at the time.

The day flew by with fun and sun. Colin had completely forgotten where he’d placed his ring. Later that evening, while out to dinner with his family, he remembered. He reached down to untie the ring and realized—it was gone. His heart sank.

Everyone at the table felt the shock. Colin shared the story with a few people nearby. Someone overheard and suggested he contact Ring Finders South Jersey. They said, “You need The Sea Isle City Ring Finder! He’s helped a lot of people recover lost jewelry.”

Colin reached out the very next day.

When he called me, I could hear the worry in his voice. His wedding ring held deep sentimental value. He gave me a general idea of where they had been on the beach. Though Colin had already left Sea Isle City to head home, he was hopeful the ring could still be found.

I headed out that same day with my gear. As a local expert in Sea Isle City metal detector searches, I know the beaches well. I began by gridding off the area he described, working slowly and methodically. I scanned every section carefully, checking signals and removing trash to get better readings.

After about an hour of searching, I heard a clean, solid tone. I dug carefully—and there it was. A beautiful gold wedding band buried just a few inches under the sand.

Success!

Since Colin had already left town, I met up with his sister, who was still in Sea Isle City. I returned the ring to her, and she promised to deliver it back to Colin. The look on her face said it all—relief, joy, and disbelief that it had actually been found.

It’s moments like these that make this job so rewarding. Helping someone recover a treasured item they thought was lost forever is incredibly meaningful.

Lost Titanium & Gold Wedding Band at Nai’a Lagoon…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began as I was just finishing up taking a shower after a successful hunt at Nai’a Lagoon when a young lady asked if I could find a wedding ring?  I asked,  Did you lose one?  and she pointed and said, « No, my friend Carlos did in the lagoon. »  I asked Carlos if if could describe the ring?  Yes, he did exactly and I handed him his Titanium & Gold wedding band.  Everyone was in shock and started asking questions like where & when & how.  After a few handshakes and hugs we went back to my car to get a pic for Aloha Security.  Vacation saved!  Aloha to Carlos & friends!

Diamond and Zirconium Mother’s Ring Lost in the Sand, Found and Returned Georgetown, SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

Just before 7 p.m. on July 4th I got a text saying, “Hi, we lost a ring on the beach at Debordieu (a gated community north of Georgetown, SC). Do you still do metal detecting services?” I immediately called the number attached to the text and talked with Rick. I got a few more details and told Rick it’d take me a little over an hour but was on my way.

When I arrived, Rick had called the gate guard and let him know I was coming, so I had no problem getting through. I met Rick along the way, parked and he led me out to the spot on the beach. They had left the tent up to mark the area. I was told that Rick’s wife Candy had put the ring in her top and when she stood up to get out of the beach chair, the ring fell out. I looked at Rick and his son-in-law Josh, and said “What do you think, maybe a minute?” I turned on the machine, took about 3 steps and hit a solid 6 on the VDI (visual display indicator). Bingo! I took a small scoop of sand and gently shook it out of the scoop. Looked in the scoop and there was Candy’s beautiful ring. We drove back to Rick’s house, and I got to meet Candy who already had her ring back on. Very happy lady!!!

Josh – Thank you for finding me on Google.

Rick and Candy – Thank you for allowing me to help find your ring. Enjoy your vacation!

Lost Gold Ring with Diamonds Found in Livonia Michigan

Sparklers in the Grass…..

As Amanda was starting to celebrate today, she started by taking a plunge into a cool pool. Shortly after a volleyball game started. After splashing around a bit, she got out, got dressed and wandered around the yard with some sparklers, the children and dogs. Sitting for a bite to eat a friend noticed her ring missing. Quite a few people ran to the pool, but the missing ring was not there. I started my grid search on the side of the yard where she had been. My MXT metal detector was quiet but then I heard a loud BOOM in the headphones! I yelled out that fireworks just sounded in my headphones! As Amanda and friends came running, I parted the grass and revealed some pretty sparklers in the form of diamonds and a gold ring hiding in the grass! Amanda was thrilled and took a few minutes to catch her breath. Now the fuse was lit to a grand celebration!

Received a call from Chris explaining that his gold ring that had been passed down from his grandfather had fallen off his finger while at the beach with family. Chris said that it was not a very expensive piece but held extreme sentimental value. Chris and his family frantically searched themselves, but to no avail. I made arrangements to meet up with Chris after his dining reservations last night. We met on Guerney St beach at just about dark, and Chris directed me to the general area where he and his family had been sitting. His ring was recovered a few minutes later, much to his relief. Another happy ending! Please like, follow, & share.

As the wave approached, Alexis and her group quickly moved their belongings up the beach. Unbeknownst to her, her wedding band and engagement ring, placed on her shorts, were lost in the sand. After realizing the loss at the top of the beach stairs, Alexis and her friends returned to search.
