Wedding Band Recovered At Manasquan Beach NJ by Dennis Burlingame

After doing a Google search on lost jewelry on beach Gloria found me on RingFinders and gave me texted me asking for help in locating a lost ring at Manasquan Beach. Told her to meet me there and I’d be there in about 20 minutes. Arriving at the beach Gloria and her husband Michael were waiting for me. They showed me were they were sitting that day. It seems being hot and sunny that day, Michael went to put on sun lotion and in doing so his ring ended up slipping off and disappeared into the sand. They looked for it but just couldn’t find it. This all happened just a few weeks before their anniversary. After doing 4 passes in the area I got the signal I was hoping for and sure enough their was Michael’s ring in my scoop. They were so happy to get it back, and they can have their anniversary with his ring back on his hand where it belongs. The ring hasn’t left his finger since she put it on his finger their wedding day, he showed the indention on his finger. Another happy ending to a great recovery.

Lost Ring: Lighthouse Beach in Chatham – Cape Cod, MA Found and returned!

  • from Cape Cod (Massachusetts, United States)

August 9, 2022
Seals, sharks and sand were all in their place, but Connor’s new wedding band was not. It had slipped from his ring finger as he rinsed off his hands in the waters of Lighthouse Beach. He and his wife reached out to Luke, another RingFinder, for help in recovering his ring. Luke was unable to leave work, so he called me to help in finding Connor’s ring. I made arrangements with Connor to meet up just before low tide to search for the ring. I had planned to detect a few freshwater beaches as many of the local saltwater beaches were closed to swimming due to the presence of Portuguese Man of War jellyfish. Leighton, who is also a RingFinder, would also join in on the search. It is great working as a team, it also helps in the probability of finding the lost treasure.

The four of us met up for the walk to the area where Connor had spent many previous visits over the past several years. Christina was to stand at the edge of the water where Connor had rinsed his hands. Connor stood high on the sand where he had had been sitting. The area between the newlyweds set up an area for the search as the exact moment of loss was not known. Leighton and I now started the search. First the sand and slope would be searched. Then the water would be last as sharks were known to prowl the area. That is why we saved it for last and would be very aware of anything lurking in the water.

Gridding the dry and wet sand only had one hidden pull tab that was found. We headed onto the steep slope and into the water where the sharks have been seen and the ring was most likely waiting to be found. My first target was the head of a metal fishing lure, all that had not rusted away. The second was the ring. It was looking very shiny and in perfect condition. I left it in the scoop and headed up the beach’s slope to the area Connor and his wife were standing. What a joyful reunion it was seeing the ring replaced onto Connor’s ring finger.

It was now time for the half mile walk back to the parking lot. After the exchange of a few more Thank Yous, other information and picture taking before it was off to dinner and another night of celebration for Connor and Christina. The honeymoon was back on.

Wedding Band recovered in Long Beach Island by Dennis Burlingame

This one started with Heather posting a lost and found ad on a local FB page for husband’s Erwin’s lost wedding band. People on there referred her to RingFinders where she contacted Ed Cropski but he was on vacation so he got hold of Matty St Germain but he was working which lead them to me. I took on the recovery and drove the hour to meet up with her on the beach. Heather said her husband was in the ocean playing with his daughter Krystina when he felt his ring slip off his finger. The water was clear that day but looking for it they just couldn’t see it. I went out to the area where she thought he was but with no luck. Going back talking to her Krystina said they weren’t out as far, so I moved in closer to shore and sure enough about 10 minutes later I found Erwin’s ring. Heather couldn’t believe it. Another happy ending for all.

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

Call Surf City Ring Finder 714-944-0555

Loren texted me and asked if it was possible to find his special ring he lost one week ago in Newport Beach. He had this silver ring made while he was in Spain, it has a depiction of his dog Otis on the face of the ring. Loren set his ring on top of a cooler for safe keeping but it fell into the sand during the day.

I told him I would try to find it, with the help of some photos of the area he provided it got me in the general area. The ring was a little out of my first search area but I found it after gridding for 45 minutes.

Wedding Band recovered at Spring Lake NJ by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call from Cheryl asking for help in finding her lost wedding band at Spring Lake Beach NJ. I told her I’d be there within 20 minutes to help. They met me where they were sitting and explained to me that while on the beach she took off her wedding band to put lotion on her husband and placed it in the pocket of her sun dress and forgot about it. During the course of the day she took off her sun dress a few times and then remembered her ring but it was no longer in the pocket. She was devastated because the ring has never left her finger in over 20 years of marriage and now it’s gone. I worked around the area with no luck till we moved the chairs out of the way and just off to the side I found her ring. No words can explain her emotions getting it back on her finger where it belongs. This was a great recovery and a very happy ending. Glad I could help.

While enjoying the day with her mother at the beach, she took off all her rings to brush her hair seeing the length and a little breezy out she didn’t want them to get caught in her hair. She put them on the towel between their chairs but not knowing her mom lifted the towel and they dropped into the sand. They found all but one. After a few passes I found her ring just off to the side where the towel was. She was glad to get her ring back that ment so much to her. Another happy ending for all.

Diamond Engagement Ring Recovered Sea Bright NJ by Dennis Burlingame

Got a text from Mark asking for help in locating his wife’s engagement ring. Gave him a call and told him I’d meet him at the beach in 30 minutes or so. I arrived at the beach and they were there waiting in the area they were sitting that day. Seems while enjoying a day at the beach with their granddaughter his wife took her ring off to put lotion on her granddaughter so not to get burned and laid her ring down and forgot about it. After realizing it was gone she tried to find it using a beach toy sifter her granddaughter had with no luck. Mark meanwhile found me on RingFinders on Google and asked for help. I starting detecting and was digging the usual junk, on the first pass no ring, turned around and maybe 15 feet into the second pass I got a solid signal #7 on detector and knew it must of been her ring. Sure enough 1 small scoop down and there was her beautiful ring. She yelled for joy, gave me a hug, so happy to get her ring back. A great ending and feeling for all.

Vancouver Ring Finder Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

I was told in Chinese culture a lost wedding ring before the person gets married is bad luck, but not if it’s found! I was called out by a couple who lost a ring the night before, I met with them at the beach and they show me the approximate location it was lost. After asking my typical questions I began my search and within 10 minutes found a beautiful golden diamond ring. If in their culture a lost ring is bad luck then a found ring must be good luck… I was so happy to be able to find her ring for them and see the smiles on their face even though his wife was wearing a mask I could tell there was a big smile underneath that mask.

On a sidenote just minutes after I found a ring a metal detectors came walking on the beach in the same direction where I found the ring. Timing in life is everything, I’m so happy the timing worked out today!

How to find a lost ring with a metal detector…

Yesterday late afternoon I received a call for help from a young man who had lost his wedding band at Spanish Banks Beach in Vancouver. He sounded very upset and really really wanted me to get out there as soon as possible to help find it. I understand what these items mean to people so I jumped in my car rescheduled another search and headed to Spanish Banks.

After asking all my typical questions it sounded like it could be a relatively quick search, I’ve been fooled many times by thinking that. When I arrived I met Chris who showed me a very small area where he believe the ring had fallen, a gathering up my gear and within a minute found his beautiful ring.

It’s amazing how fast the sand can eat up a persons ring and make it near impossible to find a good medley text her and someone who knows how to use it.

This definitely made up for the last three outings where I spent over 14 hours looking for a platinum ring at Kits Beach with no luck. Unfortunately it was lost in the soft sand, but I gave it a good effort.

I was so relieved for this young man to see the ring in my scoop so quickly, sometimes it happens like that and I will take it when I get it. It was great to meet Chris and his wonderful family and to see that smile back where it belongs.

Credit Card Wallet recovered at Bayshore Waterfront Park by Dennis Burlingame

Got a text from Brooke asking for help in locating her lost credit card pouch. She contacted another RingFinder who sent her my way. While at Bayshore Waterfront Park and Beach enjoying a fireworks display across the bay from New York she lost her credit card pouch. She went back looking for it but couldn’t find it. Luckily she had a keyring and key attached to it. She showed me a 30 foot stretch of area she was sitting and and I started detecting. Halfway through the second pass I found it just below the surface. A happy ending to what would of been a disaster having to replace all her cards and license. Saved her holiday weekend.
