White Gold Wedding Ring Lost in Front Yard-Found!

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

I was contacted by a husband, (Ben), saying his wife lost her wedding ring in the front yard and that they had tried finding it with a metal detector, but had not located it. They had a very large front yard, but had marked off an area they thought it would be, because he had to run the mower. The area he thought it would be had not been cut. The temperatures those days were at the 95 degree range and I was in the full sun with no relief from any shade. The first day I spent around 4-5 hours finding nothing but surface items that sounded like a ring, small pieces of foil. I had completely covered the entire area he thought it would be. I was spent from the heat, so I came back the next day and expanded the search area. After around 4 hours I was well outside of the original search area by around 60 feet or so and I got a consistent 17 on my Manticore and it seemed to be on the surface because of the double beep. I had found it, but there was a problem. It was in the area that had been mowed and had been damaged from being run over with the mower tire. The band had been bent, had a small stone missing, and the main setting stone was loose. So as soon as I could I put it in a small zip lock bag so if anything else came loose it would not get lost.

Received a call from Tom. He explained that his wife had dropped her diamond ring somewhere between the beach entrance and where they set up on the beach. Took the short ride over from home and met up with Tom at the entrance to Philadelphia beach. Tom led me from the entrance of the beach to where his party had set up their belongings for the day. I checked the path to their site while he directed me to it with a few coins found along the way. One reaching their site I met Toms wife Thanh and bean checking around their cabana. With the first swing I heard a familiar tone. One shallow scoop later I had Thanh’s ring in the scoop, much to the couples relief! Another happy couple!
Thanh’s review:
“While on vacation I lost my wedding ring at the beach in Cape May. 😥 I was DEVASTATED. My husband found Jeff through a quick google search and within 15 minutes of making contact, he was at our beach site and within 1 minute he said “don’t worry, I got it,” and found my ring!! It was incredible!!
Thank you again, Jeff, for finding my ring! If anyone ever loses their jewelry in Cape May, reach out to Ring Finders Cape May. He’s the best!”

Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Newark, DE!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Zac contacted me via text message Wed night after finding me in the Ring Finders Directory. That evening he was on the street in his front of his house in Newark, DE…he picked up a stick and went to throw it and he saw and felt his gold wedding band fly off his finger…he heard one distinct « ting » where it hit street somewhere but he never saw the direction it went. He searched for hours with his eyes and rakes/brooms before reaching out to me. I told him I would be there first thing the following morning. I originally thought this would be a quick job…the ring bounced once on street and then into the grass across the street but nope…it wasn’t in the grass across the street. This is where ring finding and metal detecting experience counts! I told Zac to go grab a metal washer…we’re going to re-enact the crime…I had Zac stand where he was with washer in his left hand (he was left handed) and pretend to throw stick again and let washer fly…guess what? it didn’t fly across the street it actually flew toward his home on the opposite side. There wasn’t any grass on that side…just some mulched beds with some shrubbery. I proceeded to scan under the first shrub I came to and immediately heard the signal I was looking for…a gold ring on the surface has a very unique signature on metal detector! I bent down and lifted the low branches of the shrub…and there was his beautiful gold ring!!! With Zac 10 feet away ..I held the ring up with a triumphant look….OMG the look of relief on his face was priceless! Its so fun and rewarding to be able to come through for people…I was so happy to get the ring back on Zac’s finger!!!

Wedding Ring Found Perdido Bay Alabama

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

This young ladies ring fell in the sand when a table is was set on got bumped. It must have been a serious bump because it flew beyond where they thought it would be. After searching the area they thought it would be, I increased the search area and found it within inches outside of the original area. The lady was very thankful and I was glad I could make her day.

Platinum Wedding Band Lost While Cutting Yard-Found

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

Kevin had contacted me and said he had lost his wedding band in the yard while cutting the grass. They had looked for it for a couple of days but the weeds in that area were quite tall and finding a ring visually was out of the question. I found the ring in an area where the weeds were around eight inches tall. Total search time was around an hour.

Gold Wedding Band Lost Right After Wedding-Found!

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

Linsey called me and said they had held a wedding venue in their yard for their daughter and son-in-law. Her yard was quite large and her son-in-law had lost his ring right after the wedding. She had purchased a metal detector but struck out.  Because of the size of the yard I set up a grid search and it took me all of two hours before I found it. Her daughter and son-in-law were out of town at the time.

Wedding Ring Found – Cary!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

I got a text from Vinit, who explained that he had been playing volleyball on a sand court and lost his platinum engagement ring. He had posted signs around the court in case someone else playing on that court found it, but when he texted me, no one had called him. This was one of those rare occasions when the person knew exactly where they were when the jewelry was lost, the item was lost in sand (which is great to detect in), and it was in a place with almost no trash to complicate things. It took me only about 10 minutes to find Vinit’s ring and get it back on his finger where it belonged. Quick recovery, happy ending!

60 year old ring found in London

This gold ring was a promise ring from 60 years ago, very sentimental to say the least! After slipping it on to her grandchild’s finger and a quick run around in the back yard, the ring just seemed to have come off and disappear. I was contacted and made my way over to North London. After about 10 minutes I picked up that solid tone I love. What a gift for her on Mothers day! So glad I could help.

Signet Ring lost in Ames, Iowa… Found with a metal detector

Contact:

Carly contacted me about finding her grandmother’s signet ring. She lost it in a vacant lot while tossing an ice bag to a friend. This was one of the fastest ring finds I’ve ever had. She put me right on top of it and was very grateful to have her special ring back.
