Unearthing Memories: The Tale of Aaron’s Lost Wedding Ring at Silver Strand beach Oxnard

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)
Dave MacDonald Finds Lost Ring in the Sand at Silverstrand Beach
Last week, Aaron texted me a desperate plea: his Palladium wedding ring had slipped into the ocean’s sandy depths at Silverstrand Beach near Oxnard Beach. As Dave MacDonald Ringfinder, a proud member of The Ringfinders at davetheringfinder.com, I specialize in recovering a lost ring in the sand across Hollywood Beach, Mandalay Beach, and beyond. A week had passed, but I knew the challenge—daunting yet doable—was mine to conquer.
Timing is everything for lost ring in the sand recoveries. A -1.0 low tide on August 21st offered hope, so I hit Silverstrand Beach before dawn. With Aaron’s approximate location and my metal detector, I gridded the wet sand—a method perfected at Port Hueneme Beach and Ventura State Beaches. Darkness cloaked Oxnard Beach’s shores, but my resolve shone bright. Hours in, a sharp signal cut through—a glimmer of promise. Scooping the sand near Mandalay Beach-like tides, I found it: Aaron’s ring, gleaming in my scoop.
Dawn lit up the victory. Aaron’s gratitude echoed from Hollywood Beach to Ventura State Beaches, proving why I’m the go-to for lost ring in the sand recoveries.

Lost wedding ring metal detecting search Minnesota lake scuba

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

A young couple had their wedding at a northern Minnesota cabin, everything went great until the wedding party decided to board a pontoon and all jump off into the water. The bride had her wedding ring on for only a few hours and now it was lost in the lake. Luckily they had the right idea and marked the spot with an anchor and a float.

The grooms grandfather found me on theringfinders.com and I made the 3 and half hour drive the next morning. They marked the spot well and the water was only 4 feet deep or so. I found the ring in just a few minutes. Congrats to the bride and groom and hopes for a long and happy marriage!

FYI – Bride wasn’t available for the PIC, so I got the grooms smile :O)

Lost Ring Cobourg Ontario…Found!

Received a text early this morning from Keelin. She and her friends went to a local beach in Cobourg Ontario for a late evening swim and camp fire by the shore of Lake Ontario. Fortunately for her, and the recovery of her ring, all the stars lined up as she specifically recalled feeling the ring slip off her finger and at what depth she was while in the water. Met up with Keelin and her dad first thing this morning, and ten minutes later found her ring within 20 feet from where she thought it was lost. Keelin’s fiancé currently lives in the UK and they haven’t seen each other since last January due to COVID. They are scheduled to get married this October, in the UK, and is extremely happy that she will be able to wear her lost and found engagement ring. Watch the video. Another happy ending!

Lost Ring Whistler BC…Found!

I got a phone call from a young man who told me he lost his wedding band in a lake at Whistler, he told me he was swiping at a mosquito and his ring flew into the bushes. It had been about a couple of weeks and he found me online and asked if I was willing to come up and find his ring.

Of course I was up for the challenge, it was about a 2 Hour Dr. each way and part of the drive I had to jump in his vehicle because the road was so bad going into the lake that it had to be a special vehicle with enough clearance to make the big dips and  bumps.

After arriving to this beautiful lake, Sunny showed me the direction that his ring had flown. I thought for sure this could take at least two hours, it was a very difficult search due to all the overgrowth, trees, branches and big rocks, I thought for sure I was in for a long search.

It was only a matter of minutes with a lot of luck that I found his ring, sometimes the ring gods are with us, today they were! I was so happy to get this ring back to Sunny and see his smile!

We go the extra mile to find your Smile!

LOST PLATINUM WEDDING RING IN HAZENMORE, SASKATCHEWAN FARM YARD

  • from Moose Jaw (Saskatchewan, Canada)

Karrie husband was reading the Costco Connection when he read the article Hunting treasures. He searched the Ring Finders and contacted me.   Karrie had lost her wedding ring  so 30 days prior while playing catch with her daughter in the back yard. the ring was on her glove hand and was thought to be lost when she had to remove the glove to retrieve the ball from under the evergreen trees.  They had purchased a metal detector but could find the ring.

We made arrangements to meet.  I did a search of the evergreen trees on both sides of the yard and grid search of the main area of the yard. I was into the second  hour of the search and got a  great tone and 49 VDI  in the 2 in depth the ring was covered by the grass. Karrie was very happy to get the lost ring back on her finger.

This has to be one of the best feelings to return a precious lost item to someone that may have given up all hope of ever seeing it again.

Sentimental Lost Rings Found Atlantic Beach, NC By Crystal Coast Ring Finders

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Kelly started to send me vague questions about my service and what was required from her.  It was a very busy day for me and I also had plans to search for a lost ring the next morning.  Once she gave more details about where she had lost an heirloom gold diamond ring and also a second gold aquamarine ring from her father, I was started to worry as they were very close to a busy section of beach.  I had made plans to sacrifice some sleep to arrive at Atlantic Beach a few hours before heading to my morning appointment in New Bern, NC.  As I knew my search time was short, I « phoned a friend » to assist with the hunt.  Justin and I started at the area Kelly had marked very well with pictures, illustrations and landmarks.  Justin began hunting the upper section of the recently replenished beach that was full of small pieces of aluminum as I worked from the high tide line.  It only took about 30 minutes until Justin was able to winkle out Kelly’s two beautiful rings!  Kelly informed us that she worked in New Bern so we still had time to hand deliver her recently found rings before heading to my previous planned location.

Lost Wedding Ring in Priest lake Idaho, FOUND!!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

I had the ok from the wife and a wide open weekend to go scuba diving. So I got up early and set out to a local lake. As I was just about to head into the water I checked my phone one last time. Along with the I love you text from my wife, there was another text from a wife named Anne. She was asking for my help finding her lost wedding ring. Anne had lost her wedding ring while enjoying a late afternoon swim at a white sand beach. Anne tossed a frisbee back and forth and swam for about an hour. All that activity in 60 degree water made her 3 band white gold ring slip off her finger. Anne’s family searched and searched the water with no luck. Anne’s computer savvy neice found my Ring Finders profile and let Anne know that The Ring Finders could help her. After listening to her story I could hear her confidence in the details. So I loaded back up and headed to Priest Lake. Anne’s brother took us on his pontoon boat to the other side of the lake. As we passed over the white sandbar near the beach Anne’s brother pointed out where the family was playing. We docked on the beach and I made ready my gear to head out to the sand bar. A few directions were given and then I began my grid search. While swinging my Fisher cz21 around, I noticed that there was white sand with algae floating on it and white sand without. My thoughts were that, the sand without was where they were playing . So decided to searched around the rim of the disturbed area. One last check on my furthest location and then I was set on a grid that lead me too Anne’s ring. After sliding the ring on my finger I asked Anne if she would like to see what I had found. She quietly said yes and clutched her hands in excitment. Anne’s husband and sister in law were on the dock when we returned. The news of her ring found sent the sister in law into a screaming frenzy. It was all happy rejoicing from there on out. I even got the nickname scuba steve. So all in all my weekend of scuba diving turned into to a Ring Finder’s happy ending, and that my friends is a way to end a great weekend. Thank you Anne for trusting The Ring Finders and for the handsome reward.

Lost Wedding Band Over The Fence Dennis / Yarmouth Cape Cod Mass

Cape Cod Ring Finders

Leighton Harrington & Richard Browne

On Saturday 8/14/2021 Richard Browne and I were out looking for a wedding band and returned it successfully to its owner. When we returned, we had another call to go out on, and it was a lost wedding band that the woman had on her finger since 1965. Very sentimental as one could expect. It was lost while playing ball in the back yard with her Grandson the day before. Rick & myself got there to be greeted by Roberto, His Wife Jaclyn and Ryan, who was there while it was lost. Ryan a small Pirate in his own special way, was very enthused, and very into metal detecting helped out with the search. After about 45 minutes, and all of us on our hands and knees with pin pointers searching the flower beds, I had the notion to check over the other side of the fence, hey you never know rite? Maybe she throws harder than we think. Luck would be in our favor, low and behold the ring was rite on top of the grass, and on the other side of the fence… Another great save and one for the Ring Finders. A great three ring return day yesterday. What a great feeling to tell someone that we have it in our hands and we can’t wait to get it back.

Newlywed Groom Looses Wedding Ring On Emerald Isle Beach. Found By Crystal Coast Ring Finders

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Ashley & Will married on the Emerald Isle, North Carolina beach Monday.  Three days later, Will was throwing a football on the beach to Ashley’s brother.  Within minutes he noticed his ring was gone and Ashley pleaded on a local Facebook page for someone with a metal detector.  Many had mentioned Steven Ray of Crystal Coast Ring Finders and after Ashley called, I came out as soon as possible to begin the search in the dark.  The couple had marked the search area very well for me and this aided in finding Will’s new ring quickly.
