Beautiful Platinum Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in West Chester, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

I was completing my 2nd ring finder mission of the day when I received a text from Jim regarding a lost platinum wedding band. It just so happens I was 15 minutes down the road successfully helping another gentlemen with his lost band…so i headed in his direction. Upon arrival Jim took me to his backyard and explained that he was playing/wrestling with his dogs when his ring came up missing. He suggested an area where he felt it most likely fell off….but couldn’t rule out any area in the large yard. As I always do I started scanning with my metal detector the most likely area the ring was lost. From 40 years of metal detecting I know that a ring on the surface has a very dramatic/unique signal on a metal detector…so I was hyper focused on hearing just that signal. I also calibrated my machine for just a gold/platinum ring. 3 minutes into the search….the signal I was looking for blew my ears off! It was 3 inches down in the deep grass and invisible to my eyes…but I knew it was there. I got out my ponpointer…dug around….and there it was! I was very happy to be able to return Jim’s ring to him…his smile as I handed his ring to him makes being a busy ring finder the best thing in the world!

Ring Lost While Hanging Christmas Lights has been Recovered in Folsom, Pa

  • from Media (Pennsylvania, United States)

Mike contacted me on Monday as he had spent Sunday afternoon and evening frantically searching his home in Folsom, Pennsylvania for his lost wedding ring. He had been hanging Christmas lights and only knew that by the time he was finished, it was gone. When I arrived he showed me everywhere he had been and I must admit I was relieved that he hadn’t been on the roof as it was one less place I would need to search myself! After retracing his steps I got my detector out and began the search. As luck would have it the ring was right under our noses! It had blended in perfectly with a patch of dried up grass and was laying almost exactly where he thought it would be. A holiday blessing!

Lost Wedding Band Recovered in Wayne, Pa.

  • from Media (Pennsylvania, United States)

When Allen contacted me from Wayne, Pa he was nearly certain that his ring had fallen between his deck boards. He had been taking a phone call and flipping his ring around in his hand when it went tumbling to the ground. He heard it hit the deck.
When I arrived, Allen’s partner was reciting the opening lines to The Lord of the Rings franchise, and after seeing Allen’s beautiful hardwood deck I knew it couldn’t be. This was not your typical 2×6 deck but rather some fine tropical hardwood and the gaps between the boards was a consistent 3/16”. The only way that ring could have fallen through would be a perfect cinematic fall like the one that leads Frodo Baggins to wearing the ring for the first time. I got my detector and decided the start in the flower beds beside the deck and low and behold it was tucked away under a layer of ivy.

Beautiful Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Wilmington, DE!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Dan found me in the Ring Finders Directory after losing his wedding band Thanksgiving weekend. He was enjoying the holiday at his home in Wilmington, DE when his ring came up missing. After thoroughly searching the inside of his house he reached out to me Sunday and I made arrangements to meet him that same day. When I got there he shared that he thought the ring most likely flew off his finger while he was tossing around a football with the kids in the side yard of his home. The side yard is about 1/8 of an acre and he told me he was playing football mostly toward right/middle…so as I always do I started my search in the most likely area. A ring on the surface has a very unique signature….so while I was getting quite a few signals I was hyper focused on a very unique signal…It didn’t take long…3-5 minutes into the search…BOOM….there was the signal I was looking for. I looked down…and there was his beautiful gold ring! He had gone back inside so I think he was a little surprised to hear me knocking on his door 3 minutes later!!! He and his wife were quite joyous to have his ring back on his finger!  I was very happy to be able to come through and return his ring to him!!!

Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Warrington, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Mike found me in the Ring Finders Directory after losing his wedding band Thanksgiving weekend. He was enjoying his holiday and playing football in the backyard of his in-laws house in Warrington, PA when his ring came up missing. After searching for hours and even purchasing a cheap metal detector at Harbor Freight he could not locate the lost ring. He reached out to me Saturday and I made arrangements to meet him the next day. He shared that the lost ring was made of tungsten so when I arrived at the house I brought along a matching tungsten ring so I could calibrate my metal detector and demonstrate the machine for Mike…I wanted him to have complete confidence that if I went over the ring…I wouldn’t miss it! The backyard was about 1/3 of an acre and he told me was playing football mostly toward right/middle…so as I always do I started my search in the most likely area. A ring on the surface has a very unique signature….so while I was getting quite a few signals I was hyper focused on  a very unique signal…It didn’t take long…5 minutes into the search…BOOM….there was the signal I was looking for. I looked down…and there was his beautiful ring! He had gone inside and was watching me with his family from inside a glass sliding door across patio…I triumphically held up the ring for all to see…and pretty sure I heard joyful screams from him and his family! He came out…lots of high fives…and amazement at the quick successful search! I was very happy to be able to come through and return his ring to him!!!

Lost Ring found by Calgary Lake

  • from Cochrane (Alberta, Canada)

It took a while to find but eventually we did. Not under the boardwalk but still above the ground. I spent a lot of time crawling around under the deck. One time being 6’4″ was not an advantage. Pretty sure I had exhausted the area, I stepped back and asked myself what other things could have happened. Then I spotted it. Sitting pretty on the joist supporting the deck. A quick snag and a lovely surprise moment full of tears of joy. Watch the video for the reaction.

I received a call from Phill’s wife last night stating that he lost his late father’s Gold Ring while throwing a football to his Son. We agreed to me coming out this morning since it was dark and getting late.
I gridded the area with no luck so I went back to where I started and I got a nice low VDI double signal and I knew this had to be his ring. I had to use my pin-pointer in the dense grass to recover his ring.

Phill was elated to get his Ring back!
