Ted’s Wedding Ring Found in 15 minutes

  • from Dallas (Texas, United States)
Contact:

We got the call on Saturday evening,  Ted had been working on his home all day, cleaning the gutters, small repairs and such.  After a long day of satisfying of projects on his home he went in to clean up and shower,  that’s when he realized his wedding band was missing.  He panicked as we all would.  He and his wife looked extensively all over their yard around the home, both front and back yard.  He got the ladders back out to search the gutters, went through all the trash, all his clothes only to realize he still had NO RING.  He decided to see what services were available on the internet and found « The Ring Finders » website which directed him to my wife and I just 20 minutes away.  Ted called and explained the situation, I told him that we would be over after church on Sunday and not to worry.  We met up about 12:30 on Sunday, Ted showed us around the home.  My wife and I both geared up with our detectors and began the search, naturally beginning on one side of the home working our way around to its opposite side.  As I was going along the side of the home,  I intentionally turned with my detector  heading toward the neighbor’s water hose which was loosely coiled in the  side yard. (Knowing the ring could have gone that far due to the height of the gutter line.) My detector responded with a loud ping when it crossed over the water hose and though I thought it was strange, I knew a water hose would not have any type of metal in it, just at the end where the handle was.  I moved the hose and ran my detector over the area again and still received a loud ping.   I reached down using my Garrett pinpointer  and hit the target – the ring had been pushed down flush in the mud in the grass.  That moment of locating a lost item always puts such a great smile on my face.  I called out to my wife and said get the camera, I have found the ring.

Two Lost Gold Diamond Rings at Calve Barn in Mt. Sterling, OH « FOUND »

I received an email from a lady that lost both of her Gold Diamond Rings while helping her neighbor feed some calves. Some of the calves were sucking on her fingers as she feed the others. Before she lefted the barn, she realize that both her rings were missing. It was dark out and it would be impossible to look for both rings since there is straw and calve manure everywhere in the barn.

I came with my rubber boots and my metal detecting and started searching though the straw and calve manure. Found the five stoned gold ring within 15 minutes of searching. But the other bigger diamond ring was no where to be found after another hour of looking. I then switched to a smaller coil and moved some calve pins. There was the other ring, in the corner where the bigger coil could not get to. Her face lit up when she saw the other ring.

I received a call a young lady. She said she had lost her gold diamond pendant. It was given to her from her boyfriend. She said she had lost it while she was riding her horse. She had been jumping her horse in the outdoor area plus the inside one.She said it could be anywhere even the barn. I told her I would start on the out door arena around all the jumps first and grid the whole area. It was a very hot day about 30 degrees.I started finding lots of stuff but it was a lot of nails which I picked up so the horses wouldn’t pick them up. I hunted for about 3 hours about to give up and I thought I would give it about another half hour. Just about the last couple of minutes bam I found it.So I went the the indoor arena where she was teaching young riders. She came over ans asked if I found it I showed her all the metal and nails. She looked sad and said thanks for trying. Then I showed her the gold diamond  pendant  she screamed your my hero I’m so happy thank you so so much. Lost Silver Locket at Kits Beach, Vancouver…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I always say everyones lost jewelry has a story attached to it and everyone’s story is different.          This young lady lost a silver locket that was given to her by her grandmother, it was lost in the sand at Kits Beach and she didn’t realize that she lost it until she got home that evening. How do you replace something so special that was given to you by someone so special? The best thing this young lady did was post on the lost & found on the craigslist and then reply to my email. I just sent the info on my service called  »The Ring Finders » and said I could help. She told her mother and they took a look at my directory/website and made the call. After discussing the search I was on my way to the beach to meet them both and look for her locket. I knew that there was a chance that another treasure hunter could have found it before me,  I contacted a friend that I know searches Kits Beach and he said he didn’t find it so I felt like we had a chance.  After just 20 minutes of searching the area that the locket could have been in… I found it…Funny thing was it wasn’t in the area I was searching. She received a text message from a friend that sent her a picture of where they were sitting and she showed me a reference marker between two benches and two garbage cans. While I walked up to take a look at the text message I got a signal and kicked the sand to see her silver locket…The story of her locket continues and I was so happy that I could find it for her. Thank you for the kind reward! I love my job! Lost something? • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

This evening I got from a young lady who lost her silver ring at Kits beach. She told me that she had been looking for the ring in the water for 2 hours! I knew right then that I’d be on my way to help her find it. I asked her to make good reference points to where the ring came off in the water and she did. When I arrived at Kits Beach at 9:30 PM I met Kristina and she told me the story about the ring and that it was a native carved ring that was given to her by her boyfriend 1 1/2 years ago and she went on to tell me how important it was to her and how much she’d love to get it back.  We discussed the search area and she was very confident that she could put me in the exact area where she felt the ring come off her finger and fall into the water. Only one minute in the water and I found her beautiful silver native carved ring and the smile tells you the rest!  I wish I had my camera on when I first found the ring to show you her reaction…I’m blessed with the ability to make people smile…I love my Job!Lost your ring? Lost Diamond Pendent at Trout Lake Park in Vancouver, BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Today at around 10am I received a call from a young lady who told me that she had lost her diamond pendent at a park not far from where I live so I jumped into my SUV and headed out to meet and hopefully find her diamond pendent.

When I arrived I was greeted by two young ladies who had set up a grid of the area they believed the pendent was in…

I started my search and I found a few targets mostly junk and then Maggie headed out to the rest room and her friend stayed behind while I was searching.

Not long after she left I received a good signal on my Whites V3I, I moved the grass to see the diamond pendent sparkling at me! I called Maggie’s girlfriend over to show her and we both just smiled…

A minute later Maggie showed up and I told her that I found a bottle cap and held up her pendent…

I love the reaction when people first see their lost item!

How special was Maggie’s diamond pendent? It was given to her 6 years ago from her boyfriend on her first year anniversary…And they are still together today!

I love my job!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Well this was a first for me in the 18 years I’ve been offering this service here in Vancouver… Two watch searches in less then 24 hours, the first was for a Rolex that was lost in the ocean and I found that one and this search for a Breitling…Both high quality watches and both I have owned back in the day so I understood how hard that must have been on both of them.I received a call from a young man that went on to explain that he lost his Breitling Transocean at the beach a few days ago and he wanted to know if I could help. Time is always a factor and watches are easy to spot so I explained that someone could have already found the watch. Well after seeing the area the watch was lost in I decided to come back at 3am to search the low tide where he thought it was lost at…After setting up my glow sticks  on the shore so I’d have a reference markers to line up with I started my grid search. After 1 1/2 hours in the dark I received a good strong signal and as I looked into my sand scoop I saw the watch! I felt so happy that I found the watch and that I’d get to text him a picture for him to see when he woke up.
