Gary’s neighbor had a water break and nobody was home to turn off the water outside by the curb. Even if somebody was home, the water shut off valve cover was not exposed and so the water kept running for hours, destroying the foundation of the house until the utility company came to the rescue. By then it was too late as much of the basement and its contents were destroyed.

Fortunately, this tragic incident caused Gary to contact me, an experienced metal detectorist, in order to locate his water shut off valve cover, so that what happened to his neighbor would never happen to Gary!

Lost Gold Cross in Rutherford NJ…. Found!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)

⚾✝️😁I spoke to Dan about a gold cross his son lost at baseball practice. The cross belonged to his wife’s father and was passed down to his son. The cross was very sentimental and the whole family was eager to locate it. We made a plan to meet at the ballfield the next day. Good thing his son had a really good idea where he had lost it in the infield. He explained that he knew he had it running to first base and by the time he had walked back to the dugout it was gone. I started my search on the first base line and within 30 mins I got a 6-8 signal on my Nox. Sure enough, it was the cross!! Another happy ending, I love being able to help people located items that mean so much to them! 😁 ✝️⚾

3 Ring Wedding Ring Set Lost in Volleyball Court .. Huntington State Beach , CA. .. Saved from Sand

Stan the Metal Detector Man member of TheRingFinders directory of metal detector specialists available to help you now.. Don’t waste time call ASAP .. Stan .. 949-500-2136
*** Dana was playing a volleyball game on the sand at Huntington State Beach, CA. During the playoff tournament game her soldered 3 gold diamond ring set came off her finger, disappearing into the sand. It was an important game, so they didn’t take time to search until after the game.

After the game all the players teamed up to search the sands for the ring set. Even though it was fairly large size they couldn’t find the ring set. Everyone left the beach, but Dana stayed frantically searching the sand by herself. This was so important as it was a wedding ring her dad gave to her mother and past down to her by her mother.

I received the call at 8:25 pm. After Dana told me she was still at the location, I told her the beach entrance is closed at 9pm. Even though it was close, there were at least 12 stop lights between my place and the beach entrance. If she could stay there we should be able to find it quickly.

The first success was to arrive before the entry gate closed. The whole beach parking lot was empty when I met Dana . We walked across the sand to one of 30 volleyball courts and within a few minutes my metal detector gave me that sweet sound of gold. The beautiful gold diamond wedding ring set was saved and returned to Dana.

I was surprised to leave my home, get to the location before the gates closed, find the ring, take a couple photos and return home in less than an hour from the time she called me.

If You need help finding a lost metallic item on the beach, in the sand, in the water, in a grass area, in a car, call me now… Stan the Metal Detector Man… 949-500-2136 ..”I WILL TRY ANYWHERE “

Gold Wedding Band Lost Off Atlantic, NC Dock Found In 3 Foot Waters

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Dillon had just returned from a fishing trip and was in the process of cleaning today’s catch.  He decided it was best to move his wedding band to his middle finger for a better fit.  That’s when his ring slipped from his hands and bounced off of the dock into the murky waters down below.  Dillon told me he tried to locate his ring using a dive mask in the 3-4 foot waters but it wasn’t nearly clear enough to be successful.   After getting Dillon’s call, I loaded my gear and headed his way.  Dillon gave a very precise area to search and after clearing a large metal object his ring was lifted from the muddy water below.

Lost ring found at the beach

  • from Mount Pleasant (Michigan, United States)

I found this ring for this young lady while I was at a local beach metal detecting. She forgot it on her towel, and when she got up to leave, it fell on the grass. Her friend asked me if I had been in the area, as they had left and later realized that the ring was missing. She was walking away, like she didn’t want to ask me for help. I asked if she lost something, and she told me what happened. It was a quick search, because they knew right where they were sitting.
I was detecting at the beach and this girls friend asked if I could find her ring. They had just left, when the girl noticed that she didn’t have her ring. She had left it on a towel and when she got up to leave, she forgot about the ring. It didn’t take long because she knew right where they were at when she lost the ring.

Heirloom Sentimental Rings Lost In Hampsted Found by Crystal Coast Ring Finders

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

June was spending time in her son & daughter-in-law’s backyard.  They were just checking out the variety of plants around the trees towards the back of the property.  June was pulling a few weeds and vines in the process.  Shortly afterwards, she noticed 3 rings were missing.  These rings were all over 100 years old and belonged to her and her late husband’s parents.  These rings held so much meaning for June.

I was expecting a backyard with more grass than landscaping & trees.  I first brought my Equinox 800 with the 15″ coil.  This proved to be too sensitive to the items under the pine straw and the metal fence surrounding the backyard.  I switched over to my CTX-3030 and 11″ coil.  It also gave me some problems but was easier to maneuver through the items growing in the pine straw.  As I searched the first bush June said she pulled weeds, I ran into interference with the fence being so close to the bush but also noticed a solid tone just a bit away from the fence.  It was then I decided to search this bush for anything around or inside it’s branches.  My Garrett pinpointer sounded off about 10″ above the ground in the middle of the bush and you can guess the rest as I removed the pine straw and leaves from the bush, all 3 of Junes rings were also found.  I take pride in exploring all options when hunting for lost items and this was a first for me to find lost rings above the ground.

June was very emotionally moved when the news of her rings being located.  It was a very moving moment.  It was very nice to talk to June and her family during my brief visit.

Man’s Rose Gold Wedding Band Lost in the Ocean, Found and Returned Sunset Beach NC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

I got a text message about 7:50 p.m. Wednesday evening saying “Hi Jim, I found your number on-line with ring finders. I noticed my wedding band missing around 4:45pm today while playing football in knee deep water on sunset beach, around high tide. We figured it was a lost cause as we don’t even know the exact spot we lost it and with losing sunlight, but after getting kids settled for the night saw your number and figured I would reach out. Thanks for your consideration, Matt.” I immediately called him, got a few more details and let him know I could be there in about 30-35 mins. He agreed, so I asked him to text me the address, grabbed my Equinox 800 and headed out.

When I arrived, Matt and his wife, Ashley was anxiously waiting in the driveway. We walked down the beach access behind the house and out on the beach. Matt showed me the suspected area, saying that his younger brother thought Matt was straight out from the stairs. He also stated that his mother thought he was farther west of the steps. I turned on my machine and started a little farther west than what his mother thought. Looking for a rose gold wedding band, I was expecting a VDI (visual display indicator) in the high teens (17-19). I started a north/south grid search running from the high tide line out to about knee deep in the outgoing tide. By the time I got started it was dark, and I mean dark. The sky was overcast so no moon or stars. I had a headlamp, but don’t usually use it if I grid in the water for fear of attracting bait fish, which attracts bigger fish. It was also getting harder to see my grid lines. After about an hour and a half, I hit my first target. It was ringing up between 19-21, which is normally in the penny range, but with the different metals used to make rings it’s hard to tell sometimes. When I started digging the target, Matt came over to watch. I told him this sounds like a penny but let’s see what we got. Once I got the target out of the hole, I turned my headlamp on. Matt had a flashlight and he turned it on, and we started moving the sand around. Finally I got a glimpse of the target – Bang!!!! There was Matt’s wedding band. I handed it to him and he said something like, “he wasn’t sure if he was happier about the ring being found or more amazed that it was found.”  We decided we’d surprise Ashley, but I think she was hanging out on the balcony and may have heard our plan. It all worked out in the end and I left a very happy couple able to continue a great vacation.

Matt and Ashley – Thank you for trusting me to help find your lost treasure. Enjoy the rest of your vacation with your family and have a very safe trip back home.

Jim
