3 Rings Lost in Apt Yard in Dallas, Texas

  • from Dallas (Texas, United States)
Contact:

We got a call today from a gentleman who was inquiring about our services, said he lost 3 rings in his apartment complex common area.  Something did not sound right about his story so I inquired further, letting him know that 50% of our business is from people who throw their rings, primarily women.  Letting him know I was not here to judge anyone, but that we just needed the facts so we could find the rings.

I arrived within the hour and met the young man, he ask me not to discuss the thrown rings with his wife as she was embarressed. I assured him that I would be very discrete.  I began my search by scanning the open areas between the bushes where an extreme amount of sticker vines intertwined in the bushes.  Having cleared the open areas I scanned the bushes themselves going all around the bushes.  But still no luck.  I have to then begin pushing my ATPro Detector into the bushes as far down as possible.  I then began removing all the major surface trash(tons of it).  Finally, I spotted a glint of gold between the hard stalks of the bushes… so the first of 3 rings were found.

Continuing on, I was on my knees (thank God for good Knee Pads), using my Garrett Pinpointer, and began searching by hand,  pushing my pinpointer into the bushes.  My arms were severely scratched up and bleeding (looked a lot worst than it really was), Then I found the Diamond Ring… only one more to go.  I searched and searched, it was 102 degrees and the customers were watching my every move.

I was nearly ready to quit but the client had rented an ACE250 and he began searching as well, so I continued.  There was a 4-5 ft drop-off down to a grassy area next to a sidewalk, then more grass and a pond.  The customer drop down to the lower grassy area to check there, based on the small stature of the lady who threw the rings,  I did not really think she could throw a thin band gold ring that far.  When all of a sudden her husband hollers « I found it »,  it was actually his ring which was much heavier and had flown down to the grassy area.

We never care who finds the rings, we just want them to get them found.

So the lesson here is to ask for pictures of the missing rings before your search…

Sentimental ring lost in 15’ of cottage lake water Severn, Georgian Bay, Huntsville, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Had an emergency call from a girlfriend I hadn’t seen in a couple of years as she lost a very sentimental ring into a Georgian Bay lake in beautiful cottage country of Muskoka, Ontario. (respecting her privacy / area not to be named)

She tossed a line into the water to tow her SeaDoo back to the dock. Unfortunately her ring flew off her hand into 15’ of cold water. She had the smarts to immediately note two landmarks and called me immediately!

I was excited to head up to her location with brand new gear to test out along with finding her precious ring.

I made arrangements for the following weekend even though waters were roughly 12C. I met her at the marina and headed to her beautiful home!

All my gear was set up, checked and off I went with her as my spotter. My new DIve BLU3 Nomad Hookah system worked great alongside the new underwater metal detector the Nokta Makro “Legend”, and my underwater circular gridding tool.

On the 3rd outing after I moved my circular gridding tool closer to shore, I had a solid double tone! I was hoping this was it because I was starting to get cold! Second grasp of silty debris and I had the beautiful ring!! Now the surprise…

Check out the video;

I came up and handed over my gridding tool and detecting, went into her dock area and then the surprise!! Priceless! She was absolutely thrilled!!!

I am extremely grateful for the incredible donation she made to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation as well as her wonderful hospitality!

Incredible 22k 10g engagement band lost in the waters at Sibbald Point Provincal Park, Sutton West, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Dhawal & Khushi we’re visiting the beautiful Sibbald Point Provincial Park on the shores of Lake Simcoe for the very first time last Saturday!

Dhawal had applied sunscreen all over as well as his hand area. The group headed into the water, talking photos, swimming and splashing about. Dhawal then noticed his 22k engagement band was missing!

Another Ring Finder Stephane was called and re-directed Dhawal to me. I discussed with Dhawal that I needed Parks permission and proceeded to apply in writing as directed by the Parks Superintendent. We immediately heard back and we’re ready to attend the location after work!

Luckily the waters were calm on Lake Simcoe, started grid searching back and forth moving easterly. Found a pair of prescription reading glasses which I notified Parks office in hopes to return them to their rightful owner.

After a Parks Ranger stopped by and checked my credentials, 3 minutes later I had a solid 34 on the new Nokta Legend at 4” to 6” inches down! Then it was surprise time!!

check out the video;

Dhawal & Khushi we’re thrilled to have this incredible 10 gram 22K gold engagement ring back we’re it belongs!

January 2022 Carlo contacted me explaining that three days prior he had lost his precious  gold wedding band inside his father’s car. He told me that he was fiddling with his ring when it fell someplace between the seat and center armrest. They heard a « clink » and that was the last know location of the ring, someplace hiding inside the car. This ring was very special having been custom made from family gold. A few other rings from family members were used to make his wedding band. His own parents has been searching the car with a  lot of effort and still no ring to show for all their combined efforts.

I set a schedule to meetup with his fatter, Jim, and the search was on. This was not a  quick five minute search either, even with my experience and fancy tools it still took several hours investegating every spot I could get my inspection camera shoved into and finally I spied the ring’s hideout. It still took a few focused minutes to get my gripper in position to latch onto the ring. Before long the wayward ring was captured and quickly taken into custody. We were all very happy on the fruits of our labors in having recovered yet another precious keepsake with so much sentimental value. Everyone was relieved and appreciative to see the ring in hand once again!

Lost Rings Hayward Lake In Mission… Found

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Vancouver Ring Finder Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

I received a call from a young lady who had lost her diamond engagement ring and her diamond wedding band but the only thing was she did not know where she lost them. This is when you have to ask a lot of questions to narrow down the search area, one thing that stuck in my mind was she was at the lake in Mission but did not remember ever taking her rings off. She went on to talk about watching her kids and her friends kids while she was at the lake, I asked her if she put on suntan lotion and she said yes, on her kids and herself. In my experience it’s very common when mothers are at the beach looking after kids and that’s all they think about, so I wanted to go and search the area she was sitting on the beach. The kicker was the rings had been lost for almost one week, the good thing was at this particular lake they do not permit people to detect there without permission.

We got the permission and headed down to the lake with high hopes but also realistic to the fact that these rings could’ve been lost in several different places, this would be a closure search so she could rest assure it wasn’t there and start the search in other places around her house maybe her vehicle. These rings meant absolutely the world to this young lady and after talking to her for a few minutes I could tell how bad she felt and how she also came to the realization that she may never see these rings again.

She took me to the area she was sitting at and within only a few minutes I found the first ring! I gotta tell you I’m as excited as the person I find it for, I absolutely love what I do and how it affects peoples lives in such a beautiful and positive way. The second ring was only a few feet away and the day was a success! It took an hour and a half to get there and less than three minutes to find her smile!

Heirloom 25th wedding anniversary band lost off Restaurant dock in Huntsville, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

This adventure is my 100th recovery for The Ring Finders directory! I am honoured to be entrusted to have help Laura to recover her beautiful heirloom ring from her late Nona.

Here’s Laura’s words;

I was up in Huntsville for the weekend and we had decided to head into town to grab some lunch near the water before we headed home for the day. We chose to sit on the outdoor patio that is over the water. When waiting for our food I began pulling at my rings and putting them back on my fingers (I always do out of nervous habit). Of course my inherited ring slipped off my finger and right through the gaps in the wood patio we were sitting on. When shining my flashlight through to gage if I was able to see the ring at all, all I saw was water underneath. I was told mistakes happen and things like this happen – and was also told there was no way at getting under the patio whatsoever. I was absolutely devastated and was convinced I’d lost it in this water forever.

The next day a friend of mine (my saviour literally) had the brilliant idea to post on Facebook just to see if anyone had suggestions – and this is when we met the amazing Alison. I got in touch with her and learned about the ring finders and the incredible things she had done for people in situations similar to mine. A few days later she made her way down to Hunstville with her hookah dive gear and metal detector and she found my ring!!!!! I am still in disbelief. I am forever grateful and so appreciative. Alison is really and truly an angel on earth!

What lovely worlds!

Here is the wonderful video of this sentimental ring recovery;

Thank you Laura for your very kind words and your generous donation! Also to your employer who will be matching the donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation! I LOVE MY HOBBY!

Lost communion cross and gold chain off a cottage country dock into Whitestone Lake, Dunchurch, Parry Sound, Muskoka’s, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Stephen was up visited a close friend for a weekend of fun, fishing and tubing at Whitestone Lake, Dunchurch, Parry Sound District of The Muskoka Lakes, Ontario.

The guys came back from tubing, sat in some dock chairs to relax. Stephen had taken off his very special communion cross and Greek anchor chain given to him by his Grandparents and put it on the dock chair. He forgot about it, picked up his tee shirt and watched the cross and chain fall through the dock boards into the water below.

They tried to locate the cross and chain in the murky waters below but had no luck. Stephen called upon my services to help the next day.

I had a three hour drive, we set up the DIVE BLU3 Nemo hookah system which has a lithium battery and 10’ hose and with an underwater pin pointer we were all set!

After 35 minutes of clearing all the metal objects I finally recovered Stephen’s cross and chain!

Check out the underwater video and the surprise recovery to Stephen!

His sentimental cross and chain meant the world to him and he was grateful to revive it back with TheRingFinders help!

Thank you Stephen for your donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation!

John was walking his dog in a school yard park in Maple, Ontario yesterday. He stopped to brush his dog and noticed his new gold engagement 10k gold band from his Fiancé Christina went flying off.

He purchased a metal detector and had no luck finding his ring on his own.

After speaking with Shawn from Carry-all Canada Shawn suggested he contact Alison from the website TheRingFindersDotCom.

Called out to Amaranth, Dufferin Country, Ontario this past Sunday for a lost engagement ring.

The engagement ring had was thrown in the heat of an argument.

Christian and Brittanie looked feverishly yo find both ring but only managed to find the wedding band.

They purchased a metal detector from a local retail store and had been searching for 3 to 4 days with no luck.

I started off in the playground equipment where the wedding band was from and continued on around the back and my first target was the diamond engagement ring. I pretended that the battery was not operating properly on my Pinpointer and managed to make the grand reveal that I had located the engagement ring in under two minutes.

Brittany was absolutely overwhelmed and her husband Christian was just amazed at how quickly the ring was located with my equipment!

Lost Gold/Diamond Ring in Chattanooga-Found

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

This lady had lost her gold and diamond ring in her yard on the day before, during a family event. I found the ring in less than 30 minutes about 4-5 feet from the edge of the driveway.
