Lost Wedding Ring West University-Houston, Texas (Recovered)

  • from Sugar Land (Texas, United States)

12/08/2013

I received a call today from Ryan and Jess regarding Ryan’s lost wedding ring.

Ryan and Jess reported Ryan was playing football in the front yard with family when

his ring flew off of his finger.

Ryan mentioned his wife Jess was not happy :), but after speaking to her she

insisted Ryan would be sleeping in-doors tonight regardless of the out-come.

Ryan reported one of his family members had located www.theringfinders.com after

his failed attempts at finding his ring.

I think you can tell from the smiles, today was a good day

I was happy very happy for Ryan and Jess, you could see the relief and happiness

in both of them when the ring was recovered.

imageimagePerhaps this ring looks familiar! It should . I posted it about july 12th 2012 when I first found it in the garden for a customer. Well, today I received another call from the same customer. This time the ring came off while hanging Christmas lights. Ironically, it was found about 3 feet away from where I found it last year!
Maybe I should consider a package discount. 😉

Lost Texas A&M Class Ring Woodlands, Texas (Recovered)

12/04/2013

Hi John,

I work for The Woodlands Township in The Woodlands and I supervise the
boathouse next to the woodlands mall. Today at work, my worst nightmare
happened. I went to shake someone’s hand and they pulled my ring off and it
bounced off the dock into the lake. It is about 4.5 to 5 ft deep where it fell
in and it is in probably a 5 by 5 ft area next to the dock.

I found you online at www.theringfinders.com when I was looking for metal

detector rentals. Is there ANY way you can help me with this. My ring is/was easily

my most prized possession.

Please, if you get a chance I would love to hear back from you with any help
you might be able to offer me.

Thanks in advance,

Kyle

I met Kyle this morning at the Woodlands Boat House and  Kyle gave me a first hand

account of how the ring was lost and where he believed it landed in the water.

The job appeared easy from the top side, I was thinking, I’ll jump in this tropical warm

blue water, grab the ring and job complete.

Well the water wasn’t tropical or warm and the bottom of the dock was concrete with

apparently a lot of re-enforced re-bar. I found the ring, lots of luck on this job. I was

thinking to myself, Kyle you just witnessed an early Christmas Miracle 🙂

I was really happy for him, It was clear from the beginning the Ring was very important to him.

Metal Detecting for 2 Lost Rings in Pemberton, BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I got a call the other day from a young lady named Alex who lost 2 rings in the snow. She and her husband were visiting from New Zealand and while driving up past Pemberton they pulled over to the side of the road so Alex could made a snow angel.  After getting back in the truck and heading for a friends place she realized 5 minutes later that her rings were gone. These were her diamond engagement ring and diamond wedding band. You can imagine how devastated she was! They turned around and went back and searched for 1 1/2 hours in the snow and cold… but no rings… There was one thing I never talked about in my video below… Alex told me that her and her husband were very lucky to be alive! shortly after they were heading home they hit black ice and Flipped the truck…What a bad day!!!A few days after, Alex got on the internet and found The Ring Finders, instead of renting a metal detector she called me. We discussed the search and we agreed to meet,  I would drive her and her cousin to the location to find the rings as her husband was in a business meeting. It was a good 2 1/2 hour drive, when we arrived at the location. I could tell where she was making snow angels and I thought this would be a fast recovery, but I was wrong. Almost an hour later near the side of the road where they parked the truck I got a good strong signal. I bent down and moved the snow to see the glint of gold…Only a few feet away was the second ring. The smile tells the story! Thank you Alex for the very generous reward and I sent you a receipt to show that I donate 15% of my reward money to Children’s Hospital .OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA I Love my Job!Lost your ring? 24kt. Wedding Ring Recovered in Sugar Land 11/05/2013

I received a call from Chetham, regarding his wife’s lost 24kt Gold Wedding Ring at a park in Sugar Land, Texas. Chetham reported he and his wife Nethra were at a gathering with friends when she lost her ring.

Chetham said he and his wife where sitting at one of the picnic tables in the park when her ring accidentally flew off of her finger and landed in the grass near the picnic table.

Chetham reported he and several friends searched for an hour or better on their hands and knee digging through the grass trying to find the ring.

Chetham said after unsuccessfully locating the ring he did a Google search and located the web site www.theringfinders.com.

I met Chatham and Nethra at the park today and we searched the area they felt the missing ring would be found. We searched and searched the area in question with no success. I had Nethra perform a re-enactment of where she was standing and what she was doing when the ring came off her finger.

The ring was located 180 degrees in the opposite direction of where they believed the ring would be found.

You can see from the pictures both Chatham and Nethra were very happen when their missing ring was found.

Lost Wedding Ring… Found At Ames, Iowa

Contact:

I received a call last week from Tim who lost his wedding band while tailgating at a college football game the weekend before. He had rented a detector but didn’t find it.

So I met him and his wife today to try and find it. We gridded off an area where they had parked with marker flags and I went to work. Wow what a terrible place to try and find a gold ring. The pop tops and bottle caps just littered the ground.

I knew the ring had to be close to the surface so I didn’t dig any targets and I put on my small coil. I was there two and half hours with nothing to show for it but a pouch of junk.

Tim told me he had been wearing gloves that day but took them off when he was playing a game at a table they brought. So I asked him and his wife to direct me to the area where the table was that day as best as they could remember.

His wife walked over to a spot where she thought the table had been. She then bent over and picked up his ring! It was like magic. I told them I don’t care who finds it as long as it’s found. We were all very happy to have had a successful search.

Good luck to all the ringfinders out there,

Lost Wedding Ring Found… Cedar Falls, Iowa

Contact:

My neighbor lady approached me last week and said her son-in-law had lost his wedding band while building a privacy fence at her sisters house last weekend.

They rented a detector right away and couldn’t find it. I guess she didn’t think I would drive up that far but I told her that is what I do!

I arrived this morning about 10 a.m. and searched the entire backyard on both sides of the fence first. It was a fairly new house and there wasn’t many targets or much junk. The ring would have screamed out if it was there. She told me they were worried that it was buried in the two foot deep cement they used for footings and I was beginning to wonder if it was.

I told her I would search the side yard and the front yard too. I made one pass in the side yard coming towards the front yard and got a good signal. I looked down and through the grass I could see it. What a great feeling!

Unfortunately the young man wasn’t there for a picture but here is a picture of his ring.DSCF1638

Good luck to all you ringfinders,

Lost Ring in Surf .. Newport Beach, CA. .. Found 5 days later

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Tuesday  Oct. 9, 2013

I got a call from Ted asking me if I could find a ring that he had lost while boogie boarding at a local beach. I needed to know the details before giving it a try. When we talked, I asked him what time of day and the best location he could give me. We determined it was during high tide which gives me a chance.  He was straight out from 34th St. which narrowed the search area. He did not know when the ring slipped off his finger. I forgot to ask what type metal because that does make it easier when there is a lot of metal trash in the search area. With that information I thought I could give it a try with the next low tide.

I got to 34th St. an hour before low tide. I started a grid search half way down the slope working 35 -40 yards towards the water into ankle deep water.  I worked my way south for more than hour till I was directly out from 33rd St.  Then I returned to 34th St. working north to and from the water. I only found about 5 targets, a few coins and a couple pull tabs. Then when I was approaching 35th St.  I got a 12-28 reading on my detector. I seem to remember that this was probably a lead fishing sinker, but I dug it anyway. It about 7pm and dark, I could hear the nice sound of metal hit the bottom of my scoop. I reached in the scoop feeling the ring.  I was not sure it was Ted’s ring because I didn’t have a flashlight, also it seemed small for a man’s ring . When I got back to my vehicle I saw the inscriptions matched and was his ring. Plus it was a nice platinum .950, that’s why it sounded so good when it hit the bottom of my scoop.

Ted met up with me the next day to get his ring. He told me that he had not told his wife it was found. He was on his way home to surprise his wife. They had also been researching the purchase of a replacement ring. I only wish I could have been there when he showed it to his wife. I’m learning that the wife’s of guys that lose their rings are more upset than the husbands.

Here’s Ted’s story from an email he sent me:

Hi Stan,  Thank you so much again for finding my ring.  When I got home, I didn’t tell my wife immediately, I just had it on my finger and sorta put my hand down next to her at the dining table to see if she would notice.  When she saw it, her mouth dropped open and she said « YOU FOUND IT?! »   It was a great reaction, I wish I had recorded it.

My wife was pretty upset about me losing the ring.  Mostly for the sentimental value, since it was the ring she put on my finger when we got married.  The bible verse engraved on the band was the bible verse that was read at our wedding ceremony, and the date was the date of our wedding, so it had a lot of significance.
The day I lost the ring was actually a really good day.  In the morning my whole family had a great time at the beach with some friends who were visiting.  Awesome weather, got to have lunch at the beach.  I didn’t notice the ring was missing until late that evening, probably around 8-9 pm.   I thought it was probably at the beach since I had been boogie boarding and wiped out a couple of times, but really it could have been anywhere since it had been so long since I had seen it.
When you called me that first day, I was a little skeptical that you would be able to find it, since I wasn’t totally sure I had lost it at the beach.  Plus it was a big beach!  But at least it was the first hope I had since losing the ring.  The next time you called to tell me you found it, I was totally surprised!
I put a story up on Facebook about the lost ring, as of right now it has 71 « likes » and 34 comments.  People are amazed that you were able to find the ring after I had lost it!  My assistant, who is from China, thinks this kind of story would never happen in China and is amazed it happened here.  It is because you are such a great guy that I get to tell this wonderful story over and over again.
 Thanks again,  Ted
