Lost Wedding Band at Aulani Disney Resort Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a voicemail from Steven who was on his Honeymoon from Los Angeles, California. While trying to entice his new bride Carolina into deeper water in the resort’s lagoon Steven’s Tungsten Wedding Band came off. Steven and his lovely wife tried to find it but as usual the sand consumed the ring and they were leaving the next day. It was late so I texted Steven that I was going to be at the Resort early the next morning and we could meet so he could show me whereabouts the ring came off. The area lined up nicely with shower stand and a tree. I went back and forth underwater from shallow to deep. The depth Steven remembered was up to his chin. After several shallow passes with no target I got a screaming tungsten tone. Surprisingly to me the ring was several scoops down into the sand already. As I went to the shower to rinse off along came Steven & Carolina…I told them I found a ring and it looked as Steven had described. Sure enough Steven confirmed it was his. Another Honeymoon ends on a happy note. Aloha to Steven & Carolina!

Wedding Ring Lost in Panorama City, CA…Found and Happily Returned.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

I received a call from Joe this morning explaining how he had lost his wedding ring while washing his car yesterday, hoping I would be available to help him. He told me that the grass was  very deep, and to find the ring in that thatch was not something he was able to do. We arranged to meet at his house at 12:30 PM to conduct the search.

When I arrived I could see that the grass was deep, and definitely a good set up for my AT Pro with the 5×8 coil. A few passes around the area of the wash, with no ring, then time to move out. I was only working the edges Joe had shown me, ready to expand into the main lawn are if necessary, when I received a great hit in the head phones. I grabbed my Pro Pointer AT, stuck it in the grass, and pulled out Joe’s ring. I was able to hand him back his token of commitment which he wasn’t sure would be found again. His wife Sarah came out excited that the ring had been found. That is when I found out they had just been married 6 months ago. So precious is the ring with such a fresh memory, what a great day!

Lost wedding ring, St. Augustine, Florida….Found and Returned!

Rob gave me a call and asked if there was any way I could help him find his lost wedding ring. Apparently while herding some horses on a small ranch where he and his wife live and work, his ring slipped off of his finger and landed into the soft sandy Florida dirt. He was amazed at how fast it disappeared and even knowing about where it landed, his efforts to find his ring in the sandy soil were futile.
About a week later, while searching the internet, Rob found one of my search and recovery stories on theringfinders.com web site. And that’s when he discovered that there is an amazing service of metal detectorists who help people find their lost rings.
As Rob explained what happened the day he lost his ring, I felt quite confident that his lost ring could be found. And this was great news to Rob! Especially as he had only been wearing it for two months.
Two hours later I arrived at the small horse ranch and met Rob. As I gathered my gear and followed Rob down a narrow sandy trail- I could not help but notice how peaceful and quiet a place this was. The smell of fresh straw and the unmistakable odor of horses gave me a calm feeling of being way out in the country. As we got closer to the gate, Rob showed me exactly what he did the day he lost his ring. The area was no more than 15 feet square and would not take long to search. And sure enough I walked no more than 5 feet when I got my first signal. It came in around 16 on my Whites DFX metal detector and I was almost certain it was Rob’s lost ring. And as I kicked back the sand, there was Rob’s ring. So glad to be able to help you Rob and it was a pleasure finding your ring!

Lost Gold & Diamonds Engagement Ring at Makapu’u Beach…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I received a text from my wife as I returned from a ring find on Kaneohe Sand Bar. Miriam who lives in Waikiki told my wife she lost her Gold and Diamonds Engagement Ring in the dry sand at Makapu’u Beach the past Saturday. It’s a small beach on the East coast near Sea Life Park. I know a buddy named Steve hits that beach regularly so I thought maybe he would have found it if I don’t. I told Miriam I could meet her at the Coco Marina Center and we could drive down to the beach together to find her ring. All went as planned and we went down to the beach to hunt. Miriam wasn’t exactly sure where the ring was lost but gave me the general area which was over half a football field in size. Only one way to tackle this get moving Joe. Long story short and several targets later I got a sizzling tone and there in the scoop was a gorgeous ring. I told Miriam, « I found a ring but its much nicer than the one you described. » « That’s it », she exclaimed. Perfect lets get out of this heat. Total hunt time about 30 minutes. Miriam told me she had prayed for the ring’s recovery that morning. I assured her prayers work! Aloha and blessings to Miriam.

Lost Gold and Diamond Ring Found In Rochester Hills Michigan

Diamonds Are a Man’s Best Friend Too!

This nice gentleman contacted me after a week had passed since his rings came off while cleaning his gutters on the house.

He had 2 rings on the same finger, a larger one in front of the thin one. Both flew off his finger, but he was able to find the thicker one. Before I was able to go search I asked him to recheck the gutter system and he did to no avail.

The thin ring was of significant sentimental and emotional value because it was made by his high school friend.

His wife was naturally sad and disappointed thinking about how something that has been cherished for so long can disappear so quickly.

So today on site I set up the MXT and started to grid in the area of the trajectory of where the first one was found.

After a few minutes nothing came up so I widened the search area and got a sweet signal that read +40 in a totally opposite direction from where the first one was found! Pinpointing with the Garrett carrot revealed this little beauty hiding below the grass! Check out how the diamonds are set in there, way cool… have not seen this design before, truly one of a kind and reunited with the family once again!

All in all a great hunt ending in lots of smiles!

Intertwined Platinum and Gold Wedding Ring Lost at Zuma Malibu Beach, CA…Found and Returned.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

While out detecting today I received a call from Ian who told me how he had lost his wedding ring after surfing yesterday, and wanted help in finding it. I arranged to meet his employee Dave in about 1 1/2 hours because of Los Angeles traffic. Ian and Dave had been surfing yesterday, but before they entered the water Ian realized he still had his ring on, so prudentially he removed it and put in his tight fitting wetsuit and went into the water. After a good session of gliding on the water, he got back to the car, and proceeded to take off the wetsuit forgetting for a moment that the ring was there. It didn’t take long for him to realize that it had disappeared into the beach sands.

Well I met Dave at the appointed spot, and he showed me where they thought it might have fallen. I then got to work, finding bottle caps and other pieces of metal. It took about 10 minutes, and then there was that sound I was expecting. Dave had done well to put me in the right spot, which saved time in the search. he told me that Ian had been distraught over the loss, so I knew there would be joy in his house tonight, and sweet sleep. So happy to be of service, and to supply joy to those who have lost the things that mean so much.

Ian sent the following testimonial:

Greetings,

My wife and I would like to thank you so much for finding my lost wedding ring. After getting out of the ocean at Zuma Beach I completely forgot that I had put my ring inside my wetsuit. I stripped off my wetsuit while standing in very deep sand despite all kinds of instinctual internal voices telling me that I should be peeling on a better surface. Hours later my wife asked me how my surf session was and I realized that I had no ring on. The evening had set and I knew that I was going to be unable to seek out my ring. Fortunately my good friend Dave volunteered the next day to put some energy into trying to find what truly was a needle in a haystack. After his searching and scooping the area that I hoped I had dropped my ring, I had given up. Then Dave asked, « What about Ring Finders.com? » A few minutes later I was speaking to Steve who generously volunteered to go to Zuma Beach after he finished a search in Venice for a misplaced phone. It took Steve less than 5 minutes to find my ring nearly a foot beneath the surface of the sand.
Angels come in many forms and I feel truly blessed to have encountered such an amazing and generous soul.
My ring is a matching ring to my wife’s and it’s loss would have been sad. We have always told our 2 children that they will each inherit one so thank you, thank you, thank you.

Platinum Wedding Band Lost in Park in Santa Monica, CA…Found and Returned.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

I received a call from Jessica Sunday afternoon regarding her husband’s ring that came off while he was pushing their son on the swings at their local park. I told her that I would be happy to help, so we made arrangements. She sent me the address of the park, and I made my way over.

When I got there, Jessica’s husband Joshua, and their son met me, and showed me the area of the loss. He showed me where he was standing, and where he thought the ring may have landed. He said they had looked for it, and resolved that it just might be gone for good. I could see the drag marks in the sand from their previous search. I was standing back about 10 feet from that area when I turned my machine on. I lifted it up, moved the coil, and heard that unmistakable sound in my head phones, put my scoop in, and showed Joshua his ring in the bottom of my scoop; about 10 seconds in all. I was almost standing on top of it as we were discussing the loss. Needless to say he was amazed, and so grateful to have his ring back. It is so awesome to be able to be that person to hand back to someone like Joshua, something so sentimental that he thought was lost for good. Another great day.
