Wedding Ring Lost in Central Louisiana – Found

  • from Lafayette (Louisiana, United States)
Contact:

I received an email from Jason saying that his wife, Patrice, had lost her platinum engagement ring while playing with her kids in their back yard. She then bought a detector and tried to find it, without success. He was asking about my services and availability. I was able to start the hunt the next morning at 7:30. Patrice grabbed one of my detectors and helped with the search. The search area was not very large. It included a fenced back yard, a strip of un-fenced land bordering a lake and part of the neighbor’s back yard. About halfway through a grid search in the fenced back yard, I had a good hit and saw the ring, visible when the thick grass was moved. I was happy that the lake had not accepted the ring during their time fishing.

Thank you Jason and Patrice for the generous reward. This will help keep our services available.img_0568img_0589img_0590

Platinum Wedding Band and Gold Heirloom Ring Lost in Redondo Beach, CA…Found and Cheerfully Returned.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

p1000199p1000200

I received a call a couple of days ago from Shilpa about two of her rings she lost earlier in the day at the beach. One of the rings was her platinum wedding band, and the other was an heirloom ring that had been in the family for a long time. I was able to go right away, and was there in about 20 minutes.

When I arrived, she told me that she had been on her towel and took her rings off to apply sunscreen. Later she got up to go, and shook out her towel. It wasn’t long after that she realized she had left her rings on the towel when she lifted it up and shook the sand off. I got ready and began my search. I walked a couple of grid lines when Shilpa directed me closer to where she believed she shook the towel. I then swung a couple of times and got a good signal, the heirloom ring was in the scoop. swung once more, and the wedding band was in the scoop. She was so happy to have them back, and I was so happy to have been a part of being able to help her. Great day!

If you lose your ring or other metal item of value, call as soon as possible. I will work hard, using the most up to date metal detectors, to help you find what you thought might never be found again. I search,  Beverly Hills, Hermosa Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Seal Beach, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Torrance, Venice Beach, and all parks, yards, gardens, and ponds (to 5 foot depths) in all of Orange County, all of Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

Wedding Ring Lost while throwing mulch and planting shrubs in Katy, Texas (found) by John Volek

I was contacted by Brian regarding his lost wedding ring in the front yard of his residence in Katy, Texas, Brian advised he had been landscaping his front yard, throwing down new mulch and plant new shrubs when he discovered his wedding ring missing from his finger. Brian said he spent a hour or better looking for his lost ring in the front yard, but was unsuccessful at finding it.

Arrangements were made to search for Brian’s lost ring the following day, and the point of contact would be his daughter Ashley. You can see from the smiles on Brian’s daughter and son, it was a good out-come.

Check out the video to see the recovery!

Wedding Ring lost, Found, and Returned on Siesta Key, Florida

Jesse and Grisel decided to take a short weekend break on Siesta Key to spend some quality time with just each other. On their first evening at the hotel they decide to walk to the beach and enjoy the beautiful sunset. They found a place where they could sit in the sand close to the water and just enjoy each others presence as the sun dropped into the gulf. When they stood up, Jesse was brushing the sand off of his bottom when he felt his wedding ring slip off of his finger.

They looked every where and sifted through the sand thinking they would find it, but it was not to be. Jesse remembered a guy he once talked to that had recovered rings with a metal detector and decided to see if he could find someone on the internet. He googled find ring with metal detector and up popped The Ring Finders. He found the local SRARC ring finders group and called Stan Flack. Stan Called Mike Miller who then set up a recovery hunt for the next morning. Mike showed up at 7:00 am and met Jesse and his wife Grisel at the beach where they took him to the spot the ring had been lost. In a minute the ring was found and returned.

Both Jesse and Grisel were extremely happy along with Mike. We all left the beach together and walked to a restaurant where we enjoyed getting to know each other over a wonderful breakfast.

SRARC is always very pleased when we can successfully recover a cherished item for someone.

Wedding Ring Lost at Beach Ceremony, Found and Returned Just in Time on Pass A Grille Beach

Scott and Tracy planned a beautiful wedding at sunset on Pass A Grille beach. Everything was setup and almost ready to go when Scott was walking across the boardwalk to the beach. As he was walking across the sand he felt strange and thought he heard something hit the sand. He stopped and checked everything he had been carrying and discovered he no longer had the wedding ring. Everyone rushed over to look but had no luck finding the ring. The wedding planner quickly informed them he knew of a group that could help. He contacted Stan Flack of SRARC Ring Finders who passed him on to Mike Miller. Mike said he could come right over but it was getting late and the sun would soon be down so they decided to go on with the ceremony without the ring.

By the time Mike got there the ceremony was over but the bride and groom were still at the alter. Mike went right to work and within 5 minutes he found the ring. Everyone was relieved and the ring was rushed over to the couple and it was just in time for Tracy to slip the wedding ring onto Scotts finger.

SRARC is so happy to have been able to recover and return this ring. We wish the happy couple all the best in their future.

The Things Left Behind

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

Finding something on the Spokane Craigslist lost-and-found page is a crapshoot. One site poster wants his maroon bowling ball back, no questions asked. Another South Hill parent hopes their child’s Elsa doll can be returned as soon as possible. Most of the listings involve missing pets. But Luke Schlining is in the business of helping people find their expensive metal items. And as his Craigslist post says, he’ll take a stab at finding your missing engagement ring for free.

« I don’t want people to call me, to be honest, » Schlining says. « That means something important is lost. »

The metal detecting enthusiast has looked for metallic treasure since his teens, but about four years ago he stumbled upon the Ring Finders website, first started in Canada. Now the 30-year-old Spokane Valley resident is one of the American Ring Finders searching for people’s jewelry in their backyards or a snowbank, or off the side of a boat (he’s scuba certified).

« In water and beaches, it’s a needle in the haystack. You have to know what you’re doing, » he says, admitting that plenty of times his searches come up short.

But Schlining continues to volunteer his time and metal detector, because when it does work out, the reward is invaluable.

« I’m meeting tons of nice people through this, » he says. « It’s my way of giving back to the community. »

When it comes to your precious jewelry, his best advice is never to take off your rings. « That’s when people get into trouble, every time, » he says.

Lost Wedding Ring at New Symrna Beach, Florida……Found!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)

Shawn sent me a short e-mail stating that he lost his white gold wedding band at the beach and ended by saying, « This has caused great problems! » I responded the next morning and assured him that I would definitely try and help him find his ring. I asked a few questions about the details and what he remembered about where, when and how he felt he might have lost it. Shawn said that he and two of his best friends had lunch at the Breakers Restaurant in New Symrna Beach and afterwards headed out onto the beach to throw the football around and enjoy the water. It wasn’t long before Shawn realized that his wedding ring was missing. He desperately started walking back and forth looking along the waters edge to see if he could catch a glimpse of his gold ring. He even coaxed a few good hearted strangers to assist in the search but to no avail!
Before going home Shawn was able to file a report with the beach patrol–just in case someone found his ring and turned it in.
Later that night Shawn found theringfinders.com web site and sent me his first e-mail. It took four hours anddscf25771dscf2573-001 two searches to narrow down the exact area where Shawn and his buddies were tossing the football, but after doing a very tight grid search pattern I was finally able to uncover his ring. I immediately called Shawn and told him I had found his ring and he could not believe it! We met later that evening and he was almost speechless that someone he had never met before would actually look for, find and return his ring to him.
It was truly an honor and privilege to help reunite Shawn with his lost wedding ring!
Maybe you’ve lost something!

Lost Gold and Diamonds Wedding Ring at Makaleha Beach, North Shore Oahu…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

ns-wai-aud-vince
ns-wai-aud-ring
This ring find started when I got a call from Vince a soldier stationed in Hawaii from Lancaster, PA. While relaxing on the beach reading a book he placed his wedding band on his chest. When he got up to leave he forgot about the ring and it disappeared into the sand. He didn’t realize he lost it until he was back at his car. Vince went back to look but it was getting dark so he marked the spot and went home. He was searching for a metal detector rental and thats how he found me. I don’t rent metal detectors from my business, I’d rather provide the service myself. Works out better that way. Vince had a friend with a metal detector but that didn’t pan out so he called me back for a ring finder service. I met Vince & his lovely wife Iris at McDonalds and we proceeded from there to the remote beach. Vince took me to the area he thought the ring fell off and I started a grid search. He marked the spot previously with a seashell in the property barbed wire fence. I did a thorough grid search with only a few scrap pieces of metal found. Vince looked at the area and decided it might be farther to the East but not past the next tree. I started that grid search with only a few more coin targets. Just as I was getting to that last tree I got a great tone in my headset and one scoop down out popped Vince’s ring. Finally, and at the extreme end of the grid. Not always as we remember it! Vince & Iris were very thankful and Vince asked if he was out of the doghouse? She let him out! Oddly enough I got a text a few hours later from Vince saying someone with an Excalibur arrived at the beach shortly after I left. Lucky for us. Timimng is everything in this hobby. Aloha to Vince & Iris.

Lost Platinum& Diamonds Engagement Ring at Sherwood Beach Waimanalo…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find started when I got a phone call from a local Wedding photographer. His clients went to Sherwood Beach in Waimanalo for a photo shoot and while the bride was walking to the spot her Engagement Ring dropped somewhere along the path or at the site. Everyone immediately started searching but with such a vast area to cover it was hopeless. The photographer’s assistant named Mao agreed to meet me the next morning with the unfortunate Japanese couple who were on their Honeymoon in Hawaii. The next morning at 11AM Mao, Mika & Shuichi from Tokyo Japan met me in the parking lot of Sherwood Beach. Mika demonstrated and Mao translated to me how the ring was lost. I asked Mika to walk slowly to the photo shoot area and I’d follow behind with the Excalibur. The ground was surprisingly sterile of metal targets. The few detections I was able to eliminate with my pinpointer. It was a sandy area covered in pine needles and mini pinecones. I asked Mika if she held her dress up with the ring in it all the way to the wooded photo shoot site and she said, Yes. I asked her to show me that area as we weren’t having any luck along the path. The woods looked so similar there were actually two sites Mika thought could be it. I thought this would be the rings first chance to fall out. OK I’ll search them both. These areas had plenty of metal trash so I had to work through it. After covering both areas with no ring I told Mika I wanted to go back to the first site as she hadn’t had me go more towards the beach as in the second site. Also most people for the first time like to look at the surf from the nearest vantage point. It paid off. I got a loud but scratchy tone and stuck the pinpoiter into the sand as with each of the other 25-30 targets and up popped the stunning engagement ring. Wow! « I found it » I shouted out to Mika. As she came running over tears were already pouring from her eyes. It had been about 45 minutes but that must have seemed like an eternity to Mika. Suichi & Mao joined us and we had a group hug. Everyone had a smile and the elation and thankfulness shown to me was overwhelming. Even I got a lump in my throat. Mika is going home to Japan that afternoon with her ring. Honeymoon saved. Aloha to Mika & Shuichi and to Mao for thinking of the ringfinders.
