Received a text from Morgan yesterday about her husband Matt having lost his wedding ring the previous day in their yard. Matt was putting things away for the winter when, afterwards, he noticed his ring was gone. To makes matters worst, their yard was full of metal items in the ground and had about 4 inches of fresh snow from the previous day. Headed out and met with Morgan. After the usual questions and orientation, I got metal detecting the yard and within fifteen minutes or so, found the ring. Both Morgan and Matt were very happy and relieved that he was reunited with his ring again. Another happy ending.

Lost Diamond earring – Dauphin Island, AL

I got a message from Roberta one evening about a gold and diamond earring she lost in the sand on Dauphin Island. In talking to her, she told me it was lost on the biggest beach area there – one where I dread looking for lost items because it’s soooo big with very few landmarks. Fortunately, she was smart enough to stick a big stick where she felt it come off, so I felt pretty good about going down to look.

It wasn’t five minutes into the hunt and the third target before her earring was shining in my scoop and soon back in her ear ! As always, reward declined ….. karma works for me.

*** A young lady named MT had lost her gold flower pendant while playing volleyball at a public park in Irvine, CA. She was positive that it came off when her necklace broke. We were able to meet at the site short time after she called.

After MT gave me a description of the small pendant, I was able to find her pendant in the sandy volleyball court. I actually thought I was digging a piece of tin foil but it was very small. It fell through the screen mesh of my sand scoop and she spotted the glimmer of the gold in the sand.

A very happy and thankful lady was relieved to have her sentimental pendant back in her possession.

Matt lost his wedding band in his backyard in Marmora, New Jersey. He wasn’t sure if it fell off while he was chopping wood or while walking around in the yard. He did a Google search when he realized it was lost and found the Ring Finders South Jersey website. He reached out to me later that evening and I got some additional detail to help find the ring. I met him the next afternoon and started the search. A few minutes later, the metal detector gave off the signal I was looking for and the ring was returned!

Lost Gold Icebox Wedding Ring at Honu Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

This ring find began Monday afternoon when I got a call from Marcel who lives on Oahu with his lovely wife Taaliah.  While spending the day playing with his daughter on the beach and in the water at Honu Lagoon at some point his stunning Yellow Gold Icebox Wedding band became lost.  Marcel searched the beach but had no luck finding the ring.  He texted me a video and some pics of the search area and the ring.  I decided that since in the water was a possibility, I had to hunt low tide the next afternoon because Honu Lagoon can be a washing machine.  When I arrived the next afternoon and checked in with Aloha Security at the gate the young lady told me a Diamond Ring was found by a jogger at Honu Lagoon that morning and she had the number for me.  Thankfully they answered the call while in route to the North Shore.  I texted them a pic of Marcel’s ring and they confirmed that was the ring they had found.  They returned to the resort at 6PM and left the ring at the Front Desk at the Beach Villas for me to retrieve.  This morning I was able to return the ring to Marcel.  What a truly wonderful couple that were so gracious to me for the recovery.  Angels certainly played a roll in this recovery.  Aloha to Marcel & Taaliah!

Fob & Keys Lost in a Pasture! Sturgeon County. Alberta

Allen called this afternoon requesting my service to locate his Fob & keys which he lost while chaseing one of his dogs in the pasture last Sunday. Allen told me his wife Christina was home and would show me the approximate area.

I met Christina and we headed out into the pasture.  We walked about 150 feet into the pasture and bingo, I found Allen’s fob & Keys! Christina told me they went out five time searching with no luck and Allen had not slept well the past few days.  Both where delighted to have the fob and keys back Thank you Allen and Christina for entrusting me to locate your fob & keys.

Lost Heirloom Gold Wedding Ring at Aulani Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

This ring find began yesterday when I returned a call to Amanda who was on vacation from Mount Washington, Los Angeles, California and staying at the Aulani Disney resort.  While her husband Michael was entering the water of the lagoon to play with their children his Heirloom Gold Wedding Ring came off in waist deep water and disappeared.  Since it was getting late and the surf was up I agreed to meet Michael & Amanda the next afternoon at low tide.  When I arrived I couldn’t reach them by phone but with the excellent picture they sent I decided to go down and start the hunt in that area.  It actually happened immediately as I entered the waist deep water I got a nice number « 15 » on the Nox and in one scoop there was Michael’s ring in the scoop.  As I was walking up to the cabana chairs I spotted Michael and we waved at each other.  When I got to him he was about to describe the location but I said, « I found it already! »  Michael was like, « Wait, what? »  I said I hope its yours I just have to get it off my finger.  Michael looked in disbelief as I handed it to him and said, « That’s exactly the ring! »  We had a friendly conversation some hugs & pictures and I told them to enjoy the rest of their vacation to the fullest.  They texted me later « Our Ring Hero!!!  Thank you Praying hands!  Love this hobby! Key Fob Lost in Laurel Neighborhood Edmonton Alberta.

Donald called me to ask if I could find his one and only key fob which he had lost two days ago while shoveling snow.
He had banked the snow about a foot deep along his side walk. Donald told me he searched for hours plus he purchased a metal detector from someone on the Net which did not help him.
I agreed to meet with him and I could see where he had been searching. I quickly searched the area and no key was found so I asked Donald to show me how he shoveled the snow as I wanted to see how far he threw the snow to give me an idea for a starting point for me to search. Within a couple of passes I found his key fob. Donald was delighted to have his key back and able to drive his vehicle again and as you all know, how costly these key fobs are to replace.

Lost gold wedding ring found (for a 2nd time) Granger, Indiana

9 years ago, in 2013, I recovered this ring for Chris, who had lost it in Donnell Lake (Vandalia, Mi). Since then, he implemented a protocol to always leave it in the lake house prior to heading out on/in the water. The ring is half of a matched set (with his wife’s). Anyhow, he was cleaning up leaves in the yard and at some point noticed his ring went missing. He knew who to call to search for it. I searched most the yard and an area where he said he had lost a gas cap from a blower yesterday, but ended up finding it within the leaves by the street (piled up for the county leaf sucker truck to get). He later recalled flinging some leaves onto a large tarp, which must have sent the ring sailing also. Prior to me going to search, he mentioned being worried maybe he blew the ring away with the leafblower too. I tested that concern with an average weight men’s ring and my extra powerful Stihl 800x blower (had to totally try to move the ring, not a worry, likely different with lighter rings though).
I told him that he’s now in the “twice-found club”, as I’ve recovered another ring twice, years apart, for another guy recently.
