White Gold and Diamond Pendant Recovered

  • from Denver (Colorado, United States)

Recently while enjoying a wonderful warm afternoon in her backyard Melinda’s prized white gold with 3/4 carat diamond pendent went missing. Melinda was holding one of dogs when his paw got caught up in her necklace and pulled it away from her neck. She managed to catch her necklace, but the pendant had managed to escape her grasp and had disappeared into the grass. Melinda and her 80-year-old mother spent hours on their hands and knees searching for the pendant. She even went as far as borrowing a detector from a neighbor and tried to find her pendent but had no luck as she had no idea how to setup the machine to recover such a target.

She sent me a text about my ability to find her pendant; I happened to be in area and actually had my XP Deus with high-frequency coil with me. We exchanged a few texts and finally a phone call to finalize search details. I was pulling up to her house just over an hour from first contact from Melinda. She explained what had happened, where she was standing when the pendent went missing. The search areas was small but so is the pendent. I set up my machine and Melinda went inside to grab a sport drink for me. With the first swing of my machine a good signal rang out, I pulled back the grass the pendent revealed itself. When Melinda returned with the drink, I was holding her pendent out for her to see. I think she was in disbelief that I had found it so fast.

LOST 18k HEIRLOOM RING in WINSTON SALEM, NC……..FOUND!!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a text from the young man yesterday about losing his heirloom gold ring that was his late grandfathers.

He had taken it off, put it in his pocket and was playing basketball. He later took the rings out of his pocet and put them on the porch, but didn’t realize he had lost one until later.

He searched for this ring for days and even used a metal detector. He wanted to keep trying into the night before he had me drive out to him. I walked him through some settings and gave him a VDI range to search for.

Earlier today, I received a text that he wanted me to try, so I loaded up and headed his way.

After arriving, 10 minutes later I found his ring, under the goal and already pushed into the dirt from being stepped on.

Lost Vera Wang White Gold & Diamonds Wedding Band at Aulani Beach Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a text this morning when I woke up saying, « Aloha Joe, I found your number on ring finders.  Friday 10/03, about 5pm I went swimming in the Aulani Lagoon and lost my wedding band.  I had my niece on my back and they wanted to swim out a lil bit and it slipped right off my finger.  I read about all your experience and testimonials.  I live on the island,  Kapahulu side.  My family and I tried our best to snorkel and look for the ring but we had no such luck. »  Kapahulu is just down the street from me, so I called Whitney to get the details of the ring and lost location.  To my surprise she described the stunning ring I had found the morning before, Saturday at Aulani.  I hadn’t posted anything about this find yet and she described the ring and location perfectly.  She was at work and we agreed to meet afterwards for the return.  Whitney was so grateful to have her stunning ring back as you can see in her smile above.  Aloha to Whitney!

How to find lost rings in the grass with a metal detector, Ocala Florida!

This search and recovery came to me as a result of a family dispute. Sometimes rings, phones, key fobs and other items are deliberately thrown and most often we are called to come out and try to help locate these thrown items for either the one who threw them or for someone else who has a vested interest…say like a husband or wife, or a boyfriend or…I think you get the idea!

Andi called me and explained that she needed help finding her engagement and wedding rings somewhere in their yard. Apparently she had gone out and rented a metal detector and tried using it for an hour or two and ended up digging a bunch of holes plus her husband had spent 3 hours searching the yard as well and …Nothing! When I arrived the next day I got my Deus 2 metal detector and started doing my usual overlapping grid search of the area where Andi said she threw her rings. There were holes here and there and pull tabs and bits of aluminum scattered every where. Experience has taught me that most often items originally are thrown harder, further and with more intensity than one might think. And this proved true in Andi’s situation. At least 45 feet out I got a good repeatable signal reading « 49 » and then about two feet away another similar signal! I called Andi out and as I showed her what I found she just buried her face in her hands and quietly wept. The relief and consolation and comfort overwhelmed her heart and it was a thrill to see.

A Recent Wedding Ring Recovery at Mountain View Elementary in Goleta.
Late Saturday night, Jaime from Goleta texted Dave about her husband Chris’s newly purchased wedding ring, lost during a touch football game at Mountain View Elementary School. Chris explained that while defending a pass, he threw his left hand up, and his ring flew off somewhere on the field. He had a general idea of the area, so Dave began gridding the grassy field at Mountain View Elementary in Goleta on Sunday morning. After an hour of searching with no luck, Chris had to leave for church with his family at 9 a.m. They prayed together, and Dave, a dedicated member of The RingFinders, stayed behind, determined to find the ring. Expanding the grid 25 yards beyond Chris’s estimated spot, Dave’s Minelab Manticore picked up a double blip. Peering into the grass, he spotted the ring! Lost wedding ring in Hart Springs, Bell, Florida found by Florida ring finder Mike McInroe

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)
Contact:

Alexis and her husband were enjoying a fun day at Hart Springs and after jumping off of the high platform two times he realized that he still had his wedding ring on and it was feeling just a bit loose. Alexis was standing behind the railing by the edge of the jumping platform when he removed his wedding ring and handed it to Alexis for safe keeping and she slid it onto her index finger thinking it would be fine. But her husband thought it needed to be put on her middle finger so as she attempted to remove his ring from her index finger it all of a sudden popped off and dropped into the water below sinking straight way to the bottom of the spring. Alexis and her husband were stunned and after a few minutes they attempted to dive down and retrieve their now « lost ring »! It was close to 14 feet deep and their attempts were futile which made the situation even more intense…especially since they were just married not even two months ago! Alexis went online and found theringfinders.com and in the « Directory » noticed that there was no one else closer to Hart Springs that could help her and figured that maybe I could…being as I was scuba certified and in the Orlando area…145 miles away!! But when Alexis told me what happened and described how they saw exactly where the ring hit the water…I knew that there was a very, very high likelihood of being able to recover it and so we made plans to meet the next day. My dear wife accompanied me early the next morning and two and a half hours later and in a slight drizzle we met Alexis and she showed us the platform and it didn’t take me long to set up my scuba tank, 50 foot hose and diving gear and down into the water I went. I carefully grid searched a 10X20 foot area and found two rings and other items and thankfully one of the rings was Alexis’s husbands ring and to say she was relieved and thrilled…was a bit of an under statement! Come to find out Alexis’s husbands birthday was on this very day and she wanted to be able to surprise him with his « lost » ring and she told me later that it was amazing! How I thank God for allowing me to be used to be a help and a blessing to this dear young couple!

Washington,Missouri Soccer Field

  • from St. Louis (Missouri, United States)

WASHINGTON,MO

While watching my oldest daughter at soccer practice, my two year old ran towards her on the field; to avoid her being trampled by enthusiastic players, I picked her up. I instantly notice my rose gold wedding band slip off my finger. Within minutes, the whole team, the coach, and a group of helpful parents search the area. After an hour of searching, we gave up. The next morning, I purchased my own metal detector and searched the area for hours with no luck. I found Jeremy on the ring finder website, and he was confident he could find it. After searching the soccer field for a while, he was able to find my ring!9
