HAT TRICK, 3 CELL PHONES RETURNED IN 1 DAY

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)

After retrieving 2 cell phones in the morning, I get a call in the afternoon from Timothy`s father telling me his son lost his cell phone at the University condo parking. I told him I would be there in a couple of hours. Timothy was outside waiting for me to show me where he lost his cell phone. he thought it was by the curbside, I located it 8 feet out in the roadway, he was lucky nobody had driven over it.

2 CELL PHONES RETURNED IN 1 DAY

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)

When the snow is on the ground is the time people lose items. Dawn called me to say she had lost her cell phone in her yard and could not find it with a rented metal detector. I told her I would rent her a detector that I guaranteed would do the job, the cell phone was found quickly with my easy to operate detector. The second call came from Wayne who lost his cell phone while walking the dogs in his Orchard. I arrived and surveyed the area, I asked him where he suspected his loss occurred. he showed me where he walked the dogs and suspected it was along the fenceline. After half an hour of searching with many junk targets and irrigation pipes interfering, I scraped the snow and there was his cell phone. The cell phone was his business phone and he had 14 clients emails waiting for him so he was very happy to have it found quickly.

White gold ring returned in Lakewood, Colorado

  • from Denver (Colorado, United States)

Sunday morning I received a call from Justin. He told me of the loss of his wife’s white gold, wedding ring the night before. They had spent a fare amount of time looking for her ring that night and with the coming of the morning we awoke to 3 inches of fresh snow. I arrived at Justin & Maima’s house just before 10:00AM. The weather was just starting to warm up but not quite warm enough to melt the snow. We set a search plan with me starting to detect the neighbors yard and with the fresh snow it was easy to see my search pattern. But the yard was loaded with shooter alcohol bottles and their caps. By lunch time I had searched that yard, the wooded fence line separating that from the property to the south and also the neighbor’s yard to the south.

After a quick lunch break I returned to the search but this time with another machine. I picked more trash out of the neighbor’s yard, by now my trash pouch was over flowing. A little after 2:00 the temperature had warmed and the snow was starting to melt quickly. Due to the  circumstances of the rings loss, Justin and I decided to look on the roof of the neighbor’s house and garage. No luck so we made our way back to Justin’s house. Maima had given up hope and was on her way to meet us. As Justin and I reached the now melted end of the neighbors driveway, within just a few feet of Maima, I looked down and there laid Maima’s ring. To say she was excited would be a huge understatement. I received several hugs from both Maima and Justin.

Lost Rental Car Key FOB at Paradise Cove Beach…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This hunt began when I arrived home from work on Friday. I got a call from Carrie visiting from Birmingham, Alabama. While loading their beach gear the Rental Car FOB became lost. Not knowing exactly where in the sand it was lost her husband Dave used a scuba flipper to dig and fling the sand in hopes of finding the FOB. After digging a trench and totally exhausted they found The Ring Finders thinking I should be able to find the metal key ring. Unfortunately it was peek rush hour traffic and its dark by 6:30 here so I asked if I could come out the next morning as its along the way to Ko Olina where I was going for another hunt. She agreed. A short time later there was a missed call so I called back. It was Carrie and she was in a pinch as the rental car company wanted to charge an exorbitant price to come get the car. I agreed to bring my lights and see what I could do that night. Upon my arrival a Luau was in full swing on the beach and hundreds of people were standing and walking in the sand where the FOB had been lost. Dave assured me the Luau would be departing the beach in 10 minutes to feast on the Kalua Pig. Sure enough 10 minutes later I was able to start my grid. I was impressed in the amount of sand Dave had moved. The trench was nearly a foot deep and three times that wide. First a clad dime, then a gold plated piece of bling. Then the ground went sterile for a few laps. Finally as I was detecting the side of the trench Dave dug I got screaming target and there was the FOB. Dave shrugged his shoulders…not where he thought it would be. That « key » ring was very expensive and we all were happy it was found. Aloha to Dave & Carrie.

Received this e-mail  from Barbara this morning!

Hi Norm,

I recall hearing about you a while back. I am wondering if you search for keys,  I think I lost my spare set of vehicle keys in the yard yesterday as I have searched every inch of the house that I can possibly think of.

I know I came home with them, so am thinking they fell out of my pocket and then of course it snowed  I want to find them because of course I need them but also before it snows any more I am thinking that they would be near the sidewalk paths or maybe on or near the front and back landings, but it’s not a big search area.  Thank you, Barb

I called Barbara to set appointment with her for 1:00pm to locate her keys, and of course today had to be one of the coldest days -20 Celsius and a wind-chill factor -30 It was Brrrrrrr cold!  lucky for me it only took me 15 minutes to locate her keys in the back yard.

Another happy Client!  Thank you Barbara for entrusting me to locate your Keys.

Lost Gold Ring with Diamonds Found in Troy Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

30 Year Fixed!

I got a call from a husband saying his ring slipped off while raking leaves in the yard during warmer than usual s/e Michigan weather this week.
So I got on site and him and I talked about where he thought it may be so I set up the MXT and started to detect the area. He left me to search as he went back into the house to do a few chores and hadn’t been in there too long when I called him and said I found something interesting! I at first picked up iron signals from the rubber trim metal spikes around the area in question but then a 1 cent +60 reading came up solid from all directions and I was surprised to find the pictured 14k yellow band hiding just under 4 inches of leaves!
So he came running out and raised his hands in the air in amazement when I was holding the ring!
We got to talking a bit more and I learned that the ring, like all rings, have a special meaning and a story to them.
He mentioned that his wife on their 30th anniversary in August had his original ring and her original ring melted together and this one pictured with hubby was the one that represented both and this was her original design incorporated in his new wedding band! How cool was that I thought!
I wished them a happy holiday season and was happy to see them reunited with their ring that held such a special meaning!

Wedding Ring Lost In Manhattan Beach, CA…Found and Returned with Joy.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

p1000208p1000207

I got a text from Michael this afternoon regarding the loss of his wedding ring. He had been on the beach, and shook the hood of his sweatshirt when the ring flew off of his finger into the sand and disappeared. It wasn’t long after that we received a long anticipated rain shower that made looking for his ring a miserable chore. They were able to find me on the internet, and I agreed to meet them right away. They had been on the way to drop someone off at the airport, but chose to come back for the search.

I met Michael at the spot of the loss, and he showed me the area. I could see where he and the friends had been searching the area by dragging their fingers through the sand in a very meticulous grid search, but to no avail. I asked my numerous questions, and decided to start my search right in the area where he had been sitting. Within about 10 feet I received a good solid hit, and began to dig. The ring was deeper than I expected, and must have been driven down by the frantic searching prior to my arrival.

Michael saw the ring when it was uncovered, and with joy and extreme relief reached down and retrieved the prize. It was then I found out that he and his wife had only been married for 2 weeks, and had been on their honeymoon in the USA from Germany. By the joy expressed on Michael’s face, and the release of the pressure of discouragement that he had experienced, I knew this was a « Home run » day today.  It really feels great to bring the joy back in people’s lives!

I will work hard, using the most up to date metal detectors, to help you find what you thought might never be found again. True 24K Mens wedding band found at Montrose Beach in Chicago

  • from Las Vegas (Nevada, United States)
Contact:

Got a call to look for a gold ring on Montrose Beach in Chicago, Illinois today. It was a solid 24K gold mens wedding band. I asked the owner if he knew that it was 24K. He said yes. It was made by a designer who had made similar rings for his parents. Since I had never hunted for a true 24K ring before, I wasn’t sure where it would ring up on my 3030. Since it was in dry sand, I used the 3030 which will show me the item very clearly. It rang up as a solid 12/47!!! Since it showed bright red solid on the screen 2 inches deep, and there was no trash in the area, I decided to dig it even though it came up as a quarter. BINGO! I was surprised it came in as high. Thought I would share this with you. Ive never had a gold ring come in that high on the screen.
