Lost Ring Found…. AGAIN!!!!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

My first ring recovery of 2023 is also another kind of first. This is the first time I have been called on to find the same ring for a second time. A little over two years ago Brenda and Henry called me to come out and find Henry’s 1968 University of Alabama class ring that had come off while putting out pine straw at their home in Gulf Shores. Henry had saved my number in his Rolodex so when it happened again in the exact same scenario, he knew who to call. Henry and I were talking to each other and he looked on as I set my machine to the area he was pretty sure that it had come off in. The first tone I got I explained was an iron tone and told him that I was pretty sure I remembered his ring was a 12-36 on my machine. Not thirty seconds later I got a strong 12-32. As I reached down and uncovered his ring, I told him that I wasn’t far off on the number and I would take it after 2 years. 😃. Henry was ecstatic as I gave him his ring back. I told him to keep a close eye on his ring this time but if he lost it again just give me a call and I’d be right there for the next time. It was a pleasure seeing you again Henry, give Brenda my best!

Lost a ring?

Don’t wait to call!

I received a call on Wednesday night about Matt’s West Point class ring. His ring slipped off his finger while he was playing with his children in the ocean. I met him and his wife on the beach in Ocean City, NJ at low tide to start the search. I gridded the ocean, eventually gridding up to chest-deep water in an area with swimmers, Boogie Boarders and breaking waves. After almost an hour without a signal, I finally heard the tone I was waiting for…the tone of the gold ring. I dropped the scoop in the sand and was able to pull it up on the first attempt.

Thank you Matt for your service!

Amanda dropped her iPhone in the sand while at the Barefoot Country Music Fest this past weekend in Wildwood, New Jersey. I met Amanda on the beach today to look for her phone that also has a card holder attached to the back with her ID and credit card inside. After approximately 30 minutes of searching, the phone and cards were found! Even though the phone was damaged, the SIM card and other cards are intact and safely back in her possession.

Lost White & Yellow Gold Wedding Band at Aulani Beach Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a call from Jenica.  She was on vacation staying at the Aulani Resort when her husband Matt’s White & Yellow Gold Wedding Band slipped off in shallow water while playing with their baby son.  Makiki Joe’s Beach Team gave Jenica my number and that’s how she reached out.  I’d just gotten home from work but decided if I left immediately I could miss rush hour traffic.  When I arrived Matt had taken the baby up to their room to protect him from sunburn and Jenica remained on the beach to show me the search area.  I fired up the Nox and immediately found a golden hair clip.  Then on the third leg of the grid search I got a nice tone and in one scoop there was Matt’s ring.  Jenica assured me it was Matt’s ring and was very thankful.  Another vacation saved!  Aloha to Jenica & Matt!

LOST RING IN CHAPEL HILL, NC ……. FOUND!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a call last week about a silver and gold ring a lady had lost about a month back while she was doing yardwork. She felt it fly off but couldn’t find it. She used a metal detector in the area she thought she lost it in for several hours. Sadly, she wasn’t able to locate it.

When I get to her place, I got the story and the location, and I began swinging. After about 3-4 mins. I knew it wasn’t in the area she thought it was or should be. I began to widen my search area and BOOM a screaming high tone that I knew had to be her ring. It was actually about 5-10 feet away from that area. It only took me about 5 mins to find. Being big silver, it screamed!

Another successful ring recovery!

Lost Sentimental Gold Wedding Band Found in the Snow, Portland, Maine.

  • from Old Orchard Beach (Maine, United States)

On Monday January 23, 2023, I received a text from someone who lost a very sentimental wedding band, in the snow. Fred, had been cleaning the snow off of his car, during a storm that would eventually drop 10-12 inches of fresh snow on the area, along with sleet and freezing rain.  When Fred got back into his house, he noticed his custom made wedding ring was missing. He went out looking for it around his car but had no luck locating the ring. Fred states that he started to panic, as the plow would be coming back through and was afraid of the plow would take it down the road and be forever lost. Fred rust back inside and frantically searched online on how to find a lost ring in the snow. At that point, Fred found The Ring Finders website. Fred then contacted me with the text message. I immediately called Fred back and let him know that because of the snow day I would not be able to make it to Portland because I was home alone with my 5 year old granddaughter whose Kindergarten school had been canceled. The police were also asking everyone not to travel because of the weather. I then told Fred that if he could shovel the snow from around the car and throw it up onto the lawn, it would be safe from the plow and I could get out to his place the next day or so, if he so desires. Fred said he would let me know and went back outside and shoveled all the snow around his car, up onto the lawn.

I did not hear back from Fred until 3 days later , when he texted me and let me know that he and his wife had been sifting through the snow that he had thrown up onto the lawn and had found the priceless ring.
InFred’s own words.   “Just wanted to let you know that we searched the snow I put on the grass again tonight and found my ring! Thank you so so so much for that idea! I was totally losing my head and you helped keep me sane and I got my ring back thanks to your quick thinking! ”

Fred then went on to tell me how the custom ring was made.Again, in Fred’s own words.                        “It’s gold and white gold with a ruby. It was made along side my wife’s by melting down some old family rings that were given to us for that purpose.” “My wife’s is two rings. The engagement ring sits inside the wedding band. It’s rubies and sapphires.”

So even though I did not find his ring with my detector, I feel absolutely elated that this very sentimental ring is back where it belongs, on Fred’s finger. Fred sent me a photo of his ring and his wife’s custom made ring. Beautiful and now back together

In the summer, I received a call from Matthew, who lost his wedding ring while playing catch with his young daughter.  He threw the ball in the air, and his ring went with it.  After searching the entire backyard unsuccessfully, he decided to consult the internet for help and found the Ring Finders website. I searched for over 4 hours without any luck. I promised Matt that I would return the next day to continue the search, which was tough due to lots of rocks and brush.  After 2 hours, I located his ring.  I almost gave up, but I’m glad I didn’t.  As you can tell, Matt was very happy to get his ring back.
