Chelsea lost her engagement ring, wedding band and gold ring in the sand while in Margate, NJ. Before putting sunscreen on her child, she placed the rings on top of her cell phone. She forgot to put them back on and didn’t realize she didn’t have them until she got home. The wedding set was extra special because it was custom-made for her by her father’s friend who was a jeweler.

 

Her friend Katie reached out to me to help search and I was given the approximate location where the family sat. I had to circle out farther with the metal detector and eventually hit the targets. We were able to FaceTime with Chelsea to surprise her. She was elated they were found!

Kyle was tossing a football in the ocean when his wedding band got knocked off his finger. It flew in the water when the ball hit his hand. He and his family were on the beach in North Wildwood, NJ when Jackie called me with the details. I met up with them and searched the area, but the ring didn’t come up. The tide had gone out a bit since he lost it, so some beachgoers had moved closer to the water. The only spot left to check was an area where two people were sitting. They kindly moved their chairs and, lo and behold, the ring was buried in the sand below! It was an exciting end to the search in North Wildwood, NJ.

Kaleigh realized she didn’t have her jewelry just as she was about to walk off the beach for the day. She spent the day with some friends relaxing on the beach in Avalon, NJ. Earlier, she put her jewelry in her chair but forgot they were in there before packing up her belongings. She immediately walked back to where she was sitting and saw the jewelry. It was all there except her Claddagh ring. The lost ring was sentimental because it was something she brought back from a trip to Ireland. We met up the next morning and had a general idea of the location. I started the search with the metal detector and the Claddagh ring was found! It was a great start to the day in Avalon, New Jersey!

Malynna and her friends stopped at The Point in Sommers Point, NJ while in town from LA. While at the beach bar, she felt her engagement ring slip off her finger and drop in the sand. She and her friends searched the area but couldn’t find it, so they called me to help. Time was of the essence because they were heading home to LA the next day. I met Malynna and her friends at the bar and came up with the plan. The search started by removing all the trash signals from the sand. I did this while trying to listen for the tone over the loud music. After I did an initial search, I went over the area again with the metal detector and was able to get the signal I was looking for. It was a relief felt by all to find the lost engagement ring. They were now able to return home to Los Angeles the next day on a happy note!

Nikki’s husband lost his wedding band shortly after he arrived at the beach in Sea Isle City, NJ. He started the day by sitting down to eat some lunch. Alex and her friends were enjoying a day at the beach in Sea Isle City, NJ until she lost her class ring. Before going into the ocean, she decided to take off her Academy of Notre Dame class ring. She put it in the cup holder of the chair for safe keeping. Later in the day, she realized the ring wasn’t on her finger. She and her friends started to search for the ring on the beach with no luck. Jeff started his morning early in Avalon, NJ with plans to go surfing. He placed his key fob in his towel on the beach before heading out for some waves. While out in the water, the beach rake accidentally moved his towel and also took his key fob with it.  He and his wife, Kristen, searched for a few hours with no luck, so they called me to help find it. I met them around 30 minutes later and gathered some information. Jeff explained where he placed the towel, so I started the search in the immediate area. I started with a 50-feet radius that didn’t produce any targets.  I then went to the dump pile of sand, but it wasn’t there either. The next step was to expand the search area.  I got a great signal approximately 175-feet away from where he placed the towel. It was the BMW key fob! The couple was relieved and was able to enjoy the rest of Memorial Day.

June, who follows the Ring Finders South Jersey Facebook page, called me when John lost his wedding band. I was a few minutes south of Ocean City, New Jersey, when she called, so I was able to meet them quickly after the call. John told me that he took off the band and placed it on his lap. He realized that he had taken it off almost immediately after he stood up, but it had already dropped in the sand. After a few swings of the metal detector in the area, the ring was recovered. John and his family were able to enjoy the rest of the day on the beach!

Joe and his family spent some time on the beach this Memorial Day weekend in Avalon, NJ. Unfortunately, Claire lost a special piece jewelry that was given to her by her boyfriend. She took off her necklace before going in the ocean for safekeeping. While taking it off, the emerald and diamond pendant dropped in the sand. Joe reached out to me and I was able to meet them 15 minutes later to start the search. After searching for approximately 30 minutes, the pendant was found buried in the sand. A nice ending to a great beach day in Avalon, NJ.
