Margate NJ Lost Wedding Band Found by Ring Finders South Jersey

  • from North Wildwood (New Jersey, United States)

I recently got a call from Sami and Mitch about a lost wedding band in Margate, NJ.
They had been enjoying a sunny day on the beach when disaster struck—Mitch’s wedding band disappeared.
The ring had only been on his finger for one month.
They searched the sand by hand but couldn’t find anything.
That’s when they reached out to me for help.

As a professional ring finder with a metal detector, I’ve recovered many lost rings across the Jersey Shore.
I met Sami and Mitch at the location where the ring was lost.
They explained exactly how and where it may have fallen off.
Details like that are essential when starting a metal detector search.

We narrowed the area down quickly and began scanning.
My metal detector can locate rings buried deep in the sand.
After a few careful sweeps, I heard the unmistakable sound.
I dug down gently—and there it was: Mitch’s lost wedding band.
It had settled several inches beneath the soft beach sand.

They were thrilled.
Big smiles, huge relief, and heartfelt thanks followed.
Returning that wedding band meant everything to them—and to me.

Helping couples recover lost wedding bands in Margate NJ is something I truly enjoy.
Every recovery is unique, and each one tells a story.
In this case, quick action helped us get the ring back fast.

Lost jewelry can sink quickly in soft sand, especially near the shoreline.
Time and tides don’t wait, so acting fast is key.
If you lose a ring, mark the area and call a professional.
The sooner you act, the better the chance of success.

Many beachgoers don’t realize how useful a metal detector can be.
It’s not about treasure hunting—it’s about helping people.
The look on someone’s face when their ring is found? Priceless.

If you’ve lost a ring in Margate NJ or anywhere on the Jersey Shore, don’t panic.
You don’t have to search alone or rent a metal detector.
Experienced ring finders know how to scan efficiently and spot buried rings quickly.

I’m always ready to help reunite people with their lost items.
From wedding bands to engagement rings, I’ve recovered them all.
And every time, it’s just as meaningful as the first.

Thanks again to Sami and Mitch for trusting me with their search.
I’m so glad I was able to return their lost wedding band.

Enjoy the rest of your summer—and keep that ring safe!

Wedding ring lost Amarillo,Texas – Found

  • from Amarillo (Texas, United States)

A water ballon fight with grandkids resulted in losing a man’s gold wedding ring. They contacted me the next morning, July 15,2025. I arrived that afternoon and showed them how my detector works, Whites MXT. As I started searching I asked Michael if he would like to use my spare detector and help search. After a very short tutorial Michael joined me in the search of their large yard. 46 minutes later the ring was found! But not by me. My first time to have the victim find his own lost ring!! This was amazing for me and for Michael. It is always so much fun to recover lost jewelry but this one was a rare treat indeed.

I received a call from Taylor last week. Taylor explained that she was on the beach visiting for the day from PA and she believes that she may have dropped her wedding band into the water. I took the short ride over and met up with Taylor and her husband in front of Wildwood convention hall. While walking down towards the beach, Taylor explained that she had removed all three of her rings and placed them in the same pocket with her cell phone. Later on, she had waded out to about calf deep water and pulled her phone out to grab a few pictures. When she pulled out her phone Taylor beleived that one of her rings came out with the phone and dropped into the ocean water. It was just about high tide when I initially met with the couple and I explained that it may be best to wait for low tide to try and recover the ring. Later, the same day, I rode back over and began searching for Taylors ring. I managed to recover her ring a short time later. Taylors ring was shipped back to her the very next day. Another happy and relieved couple!
Taylors review / recommendation:
“Absolutely would recommend Jeffrey if you end up losing anything at the beach! Lost a wedding band in Wildwood while we were down for the day and he was able to recover it and send it back to me! He was very helpful and accommodating!”

TWO LOST GOLD RINGS in CHAPEL HILL, NC…….FOUND!!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a text from a fellow ring finder asking if I wanted to take a double ring recovery that he wasn’t available to go out on. Of course I said, “SURE!”

I was passed on that they were lost at a wedding venue.

He sent me his number, I texted him, he said he lost them after he put them in his pocket before playing football with some kids. Turned out he had a hole in his pocket and that’s how he lost them. We set up a time when I could be there. I also had to gain permission from the Venue. The Venue said I could come out, but I had to be off the property by noon because they have events scheduled from noon today all the way until Sunday.

I arrived at 10 am, took me about an hour, but I found them both about 7 inches apart!

When we met up, his first words were, “YOU GOT ME OUT OF THE DOGHOUSE!”

Shannon and her husband Tom were ending a perfect day on the water in Stone Harbor, NJ. As they stepped off their boat at the marina, disaster struck. Shannon lost her balance—and her brand-new iPhone slipped from her hand into the harbor.

In shock, she watched it vanish beneath the surface.

Knowing time was critical, Shannon grabbed her husband’s phone and searched online for help. She found RingFindersSouthJersey.com and quickly connected with John Favano, a trusted expert in lost item recovery.

John is known across South Jersey for finding lost rings, phones, and valuables from beaches, backyards, and underwater.

Luckily, John was nearby and arrived at the Stone Harbor marina within 20 minutes.

Shannon pointed out exactly where the phone had fallen. The tide was low—a perfect window for recovery. John geared up and entered the water with his underwater metal detector.

The murky water made the search difficult. At first, John found only clamshells and debris. But he kept going. A few minutes later, he got a strong signal.

He reached into the muck, feeling around carefully. Then he smiled and joked, “There are some big clams in this harbor.”

He pulled up a dripping wet iPhone.

Shannon’s face lit up. She was stunned—and thrilled. Her phone had been retrieved fast, increasing the chance it could still work after drying out.

John said helping people like this never gets old. “Every recovery is unique. Seeing that joy on someone’s face is why I do it.”

This success story is a great reminder—if you lose something valuable in Stone Harbor, NJ, don’t panic. You have someone to call.

Two weeks ago I received a call from Rich around 8pm while he was on his way home from Cape May. Rich explained that he was out enjoying a day on the bay when a squall came in that afternoon causing him to abruptly pack up and head for his car. In the process he dropped his gold chain and medallion which were given to him by his late parents. Rich expressed his concern and urgency to attempt to recover this item. When Rich called, I was out to dinner with family, but after gathering some location details I decided that I would try for his chain that same evening once we returned back home. One of the more difficult aspects of this recovery was the location. Rich had parked at the end of New England Road and walked about 1 & 1/2 miles along the bay to where he set up. Luckily he snapped a photo and I was able to find the area he was sitting based upon the drift wood in the photo Rich sent. After arriving to the area around 11pm that evening, the chain and medallion was recovered shortly there after. I kept Rich’s chain in safe keeping until he was able to come back down to pick up his chain. Rich asked for his photo to be excluded from the post, but see his review below. Another happy customer!
» I can’t thank Jeff enough for his diligence in going out the beach at 11pm on a stormy night to find my chain and medallion for me, forever grateful! “

Wedding Band Recovered in the Gulf

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

Jason asked if I could look for his wedding band that he was sure was lost forever. Gave it a 3% chance of finding but had me look anyway for closure. He estimated it was lost on a sandbar in the gulf about 50 feet off shore and within a 250 linear foot sandbar. I Started a grid and found it just about in the center of the area. Jason was attending to his baby back at the condo when I found it but the rest of his family and in-laws were watching my progress from the beach. Everyone was impressed with the recovery thinking that the search was a folly. Jason was extremely happy and I’m sure the rest of his vacation was regret free. Glad I could help!

Avalon NJ Lost Ring Found by Ring Finders South Jersey

Lost A Ring in

Avalon, New Jersey? Don’t Wait!

Earlier this week, I received a call from Michelle about a lost silver and gold ring in Avalon, NJ. Jane was enjoying a beautiful late afternoon with friends when a fun moment turned into a sudden panic.

While standing near the water’s edge, Jane was tossing clam shells into the ocean when she felt her precious silver and gold ring slip right off her finger. It was one of those slow-motion moments where you realize too late that something valuable is gone. Her heart sank as quickly as the ring did.

Thinking fast, Jane marked the area where the ring was lost by writing the word “HELP” in large letters in the sand. Smart move! This helped locate the spot with the metal detector a short time later.

Michelle and Jane were at beach, and she pointed out the area near the surf. We only had a short window of time before the incoming tide would wash away the sand and make the search more difficult, scanning the area with the metal detector.

After just a few passes, there was a strong signal. Digging carefully, scooped into the wet sand and there it was Jane’s silver and gold ring, safely recovered!

The look of relief and happiness on her face said it all. This ring wasn’t just jewelry—it held personal meaning and memories. Being able to return it was an absolute joy.

Another successful recovery at the Jersey Shore! If you ever find yourself in a similar situation—whether in Avalon or anywhere from Brigantine to Cape May—don’t panic. Reach out right away. Quick action makes all the difference, and we are  happy to help!

Received a referral from fellow recovery detectorist Matty StGermain. Spoke with Carmen, whom explained that she had briefly removed her rings, which were originally her mothers rings, to apply sunscreen while at the beach the yesterday on Perry St, here in Cape May. After applying the sunscreen she stood up not realizing that her rings were still on her lap causing them to drop snd disappear into the sand. Later in the day she realized what had happened and attempted to search with no success. I met up with Carmen and her husband and recovered both of her rings in about 5 minutes. Another happy couple!
