Julie called me last evening requesting my service to find her VW key fob and office keys! lost while she was snow blowing her driveway! I told her I would meet her at her home first thing this morning and of course the weather changed overnight with temperature -4 below and blowing snow which would make the search a little harsh.

Met Julie she showed me where she had been shoveling and blowing snow around her home within 10 minutes I found her keys in the back alley behind her garage in about 6” of snow, Julie was very happy to have them back in her possession once again.

Lost ring in Kaplan, LA – Found

Ashley called on December 22. Her husband, Rahn,  lost his wedding band, while working in the yard. Carrie and I were in California, spending time with the grandkids, so we set the 28th for the hunt. We arrived back from California and went the next day to FIND THE RING. Rahn had worked in the back yard but security camera footage showed the ring still on his finger as he left to do front yard work. He next went to the front yard to clean grass from three grated yard drains. The grass was tossed to the side and the ring may have left his finger with that motion. Carrie and I each hunted around a separate drain with no luck. I went to the third and final drain. The metal grating had caused problems searching the others but I got a strong signal a foot from this drain, far enough for the metal grating to not interfere. Buried in the grass was the prize. Ashley was beyond excited. It was a pleasure reuniting Rahn with his beautiful ring. Thank you for your generous reward. This allows us to continue providing our services.

Lost Ring In Prairieville, LA – Found

Rosetto called me on Tuesday. She had lost her husband’s diamond and tungsten carbide wedding band the day before. They had searched the yard without success. I questioned her on the loss. “Where do you think the ring is?” “It’s either in our yard, the neighbor’s yard or in the tree.” “The tree??” “I was really mad at him”.  Being 2 hours away, I told her I’d look at my work schedule and the weather and get back to her. I found an opening on Friday with neither rain nor work. Carrie and I arrived at Rosetto’s house and had her throw flagged test washers. All three washers hit the tree branches and fell within a foot of each other. Within 10 minutes of searching, Carrie had a good signal (80 on the AT PRO) and found the ring close to where the washers dropped.  Another very happy client. We accepted a generous reward after telling her, “We are  lucky you throw like a girl.“

I received a call about a white gold diamond wedding ring set lost while cleaning off her car from snow and ice. She remembers seeing the rings as she starting scraping the ice off and by the time she completed the whole car and got inside, the rings were missing. She searched and searched with no luck in the snow cover ground.

I got there in the evening with single digit temperatures, a flashlight and my metal detector to start searching. I searched around the car and yard with no luck. Finally, I searched behind the car bewteen the sidewalk and the road where there was undistrub snow. I found one ring and the second about a foot apart from each other. Lost wedding band in Youngsville, LA. – Found

Tim called me on a Saturday morning as I was heading to the health club. I traded the gym bag for my detector bag and was on site in 20 minutes. He had lost his wedding band in the back yard 2 days before while playing with his daughter. He had put the ring in his pocket with his cell phone. He took out his cell twice in different areas of the yard. The areas where he removed his phone from his pocket were the first searched. After finishing the second area, I started a whole yard grid search. I had a not-so-great hit so I marked my grid line and searched the hit. Nothing there. As I turned back to pick up my marker, the ring was on top of the grass a foot from the marker. As I was on my knees, being that close to the grass made the ring a lot easier to spot.

Thursday November 17th Kevan was playing Rugby and lost his wedding ring, it was dark when he discovered it gone. The next day he returned with a friend and a metal detector, they had no luck locating the ring. His wife Juliane heard about me from a friend Christine (  https://theringfinders.com/blog/Don.Marshall/page/2/  )  I had recovered her husbands wedding ring 3 years before.

Juliane called me and I went to the park Friday afternoon, no luck. After getting more details I returned Saturday am and recovered the ring.

I so love my job.

Wedding Ring Lost in Central Louisiana – Found

I received an email from Jason saying that his wife, Patrice, had lost her platinum engagement ring while playing with her kids in their back yard. She then bought a detector and tried to find it, without success. He was asking about my services and availability. I was able to start the hunt the next morning at 7:30. Patrice grabbed one of my detectors and helped with the search. The search area was not very large. It included a fenced back yard, a strip of un-fenced land bordering a lake and part of the neighbor’s back yard. About halfway through a grid search in the fenced back yard, I had a good hit and saw the ring, visible when the thick grass was moved. I was happy that the lake had not accepted the ring during their time fishing.

Lost ring at Pacific Beach Found

Thursday evening, Paolo decided to go into the ocean, so, he removed his wedding ring and gave it to his wife Celine for safekeeping. Celine placed it on one of her fingers and waited on a berm in the dry sand for his return. As the sun was setting, they got up and left the beach. Once they reached their car, it was discovered the wedding ring was missing from Celine’s finger. They returned to the area where they had been, but, in the failing light and acres of sand, the search was fruitless. Fast forward to Tuesday when I received an e-mail from Celine who relayed the sad story and asked if I could help find it. We made arrangements to meet the next morning at 10am. Being several days later, I explained that many different fates for the ring could have occurred. It’s a popular beach for other detectorist to search, so, it could have already been found, the beach grooming machines usually go through the area early Monday morning, the high surf could have washed over the area and buried it, etc. I met Celine up on the boardwalk and we hiked down to the search area. She was a little uncertain of the exact area where she was sitting, so, I searched many spots one by one, eliminating them all. I then started running a grid from where she was sitting to the stairs where they exited the beach. After 4 passes and about an hour and a half, I finally got a likely sound and reading on my E-trac. One scoop and I pulled up Paolo’s ring. Celine was amazed that it was found, as, she figured it was a long shot. It was just a matter of time on this one. I was finding other good targets in the area, so, I knew nobody else had detected there. I just had to keep expanding the search area until I ran across it. They had been married for just a month, so, I was happy to get this ring back to them, so it can add another chapter in it’s story. Celine decided not to tell Paolo right away, but, instead to surprise him at dinner! I bet he will be!20161116_113327 20161116_113352

Lost Wedding Ring at New Symrna Beach, Florida……Found!

Shawn sent me a short e-mail stating that he lost his white gold wedding band at the beach and ended by saying, « This has caused great problems! » I responded the next morning and assured him that I would definitely try and help him find his ring. I asked a few questions about the details and what he remembered about where, when and how he felt he might have lost it. Shawn said that he and two of his best friends had lunch at the Breakers Restaurant in New Symrna Beach and afterwards headed out onto the beach to throw the football around and enjoy the water. It wasn’t long before Shawn realized that his wedding ring was missing. He desperately started walking back and forth looking along the waters edge to see if he could catch a glimpse of his gold ring. He even coaxed a few good hearted strangers to assist in the search but to no avail!
Before going home Shawn was able to file a report with the beach patrol–just in case someone found his ring and turned it in.
Later that night Shawn found theringfinders.com web site and sent me his first e-mail. It took four hours anddscf25771dscf2573-001 two searches to narrow down the exact area where Shawn and his buddies were tossing the football, but after doing a very tight grid search pattern I was finally able to uncover his ring. I immediately called Shawn and told him I had found his ring and he could not believe it! We met later that evening and he was almost speechless that someone he had never met before would actually look for, find and return his ring to him.
It was truly an honor and privilege to help reunite Shawn with his lost wedding ring!
