Mike and his wife were enjoying their week at a condo in north Florida and somehow he dropped his favorite knife in the sand and it just disappeared without a trace. For the next few days he tried looking for it but the soft sand seemed to have swallowed it up and he pretty much gave up hope of ever seeing it again. My wife and I arrived on Wednesday to spend a few days with friends and of course I had brought my metal detector along and the first evening of our stay I grabbed my metal detector and Xtreme scoop and wandered down onto the beach. I started detecting around the nightly fire pit and that is when Mike and Debbie approached me and Mike told me about his lost pocket knife. I assured him that I would definitely be on the lookout and would let him know if I happened to dig it up. Two hours later and quite a ways down the beach I got a signal that sounded more iron than non-ferros but I chose to investigate none the less and after kicking away a few inches of sand…there was a black pocket knife that had the brand name of Kershaw on the belt clip. That was the exact brand that Mike said he had lost and he could not believe it when I showed him my discovery! Mike’s wife said he carries his knife where ever he goes and has had that knife for many years. It is made right here in America and Mike is carrying it again today!
Again I thank the Lord for helping me find and return Mike’s knife and for giving me the opportunity to be a blessing and being able to meet such a kind and lovely couple!

How can I help you find what you have lost? Even items lost years ago can potentially be found today…if you know the location and the area has not been disturbed too much! Give me a call or call a ring finder near you!

Kendall was attending a horse riding show as a participant in Marion County Florida when in her rush to comb out her horse’s tail she lost a very precious ring that her loving father had given her when she was 16 years old. She actually felt her ring slip off but it landed in the sawdust covered horse stall and it immediately disappeared. But she was in a hurry and did not want to be late for her showing and thought that when she was finished she would find her lost ring. After her ride she returned to the stall and began looking through the saw dust and horse manure but for all her efforts she was unable to find her lost gold ring! She posted her dilemma on Facebook and someone sent her my name and said « Call Mike…he will help you! ». So later that day I met Kendall and was able to find her lost ring which was mixed in quite well with all the sawdust and horse chips.

Thank you Kendall for calling and trusting me to find your precious lost ring…it truly was my honor and privilege!

LOST RING IN IOWA, LOUISIANA – FOUND

  • from Lafayette (Louisiana, United States)

Emerson called me on Memorial Day weekend to help find a ring he lost while cutting the grass. We agreed that I would travel to the site on Tuesday. The area was a 3-acre grassed site behind his office.  He cut it with a zero-turn lawnmower. The area was level and the grass was short.  Trash had jammed the blade at one point. He thought the ring may have come off his finger as he was clearing the blade. I set up a 30’ x 40’ box around the area and began searching from one corner. Fifteen seconds later the detector sounded, and the ring was recovered.

Thank you, Emerson, for your very generous reward!

Wedding/Engagement rings lost in grass, Seaside Park NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

Maria spent a beautiful sunny afternoon at the beach, where she had removed both of her rings and placed them in the pocket of her shorts for safekeeping. Later in the day, after leaving the beach, Maria and her family stopped at a flea market in the center of town. While there, they brushed off the remaining sand from the beach, and Maria took off her shorts to shake them out, forgetting about the rings she had placed in the pocket. It wasn’t until she got home that she realized her rings were missing.

Panicked, Maria posted on a local Facebook page, sharing the exact spots where she had been sitting at the beach and where she had parked at the flea market. I always advise people not to post specific locations until they consult with a professional, but by then, several people had recommended me—NJ Ring Finder—and some even volunteered to search with their metal detectors.

The following day, Maria contacted me directly, requesting help to locate her missing rings. After discussing the details, I asked if any of the volunteers had found anything, but she hadn’t heard from anyone. After going over everything she did that day, I determined that the flea market was the most likely place where the rings had fallen out and decided to start my search there. We agreed on a time to meet, as it’s always best to have someone familiar with the exact locations present.

Once at the park, Maria showed me where she had shaken out her shorts, and I started working slowly, covering a 10-foot-wide area. The park was filled with signals—probably around 50—but most were just trash. Then, out of nowhere, my metal detector let out a sweet, low tone that I instantly recognized as a promising signal. Sure enough, buried in the grass, both of Maria’s rings lay side-by-side.

Maria was in disbelief, especially since it had been three days since she lost them. Thankfully, she followed the advice of the Facebook group and reached out to me for help. Another successful recovery for 2024, and a very happy ending for Maria!

Ring lost at Coronado found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Aaron called me saying that his fiancee Katie lost her engagement ring in the dry sand. She had removed it to apply some lotion, set it in her hat, and in the process of them setting up the umbrella and blanket, the ring ended up missing. Later, they had also moved to another location in the wet sand 80 feet away, so, it could be there also. I started in the dry sand which was the most likely. Aaron pointed out the original spot where they had the umbrella planted, so, I started just to the side of that. First pass, nothing, but, two thirds of the way back on the second pass, I got the sweet sound that rang up a solid 25 on my Equinox 900. Poked the pin pointer into the sand and pulled out a beautiful gold ring. A tearful Katie was so happy to have her precious love token back again. A pleasure to meet you both and thank you for the reward.

Lost ring in Salt Lake City: Found

Natasha arrived in the US from the Ukraine a few months ago with her husband and son because of the Russian invasion of her home country. They settled in Salt Lake City. One of the few things they were able to bring with them was her beautiful yellow and white diamond wedding band. Unfortunately, while she was in their new front yard, the ring slipped from her finger and disappeared. She called me after a week of looking for the ring unsuccessfully. I brought my metal detectors to her home and quickly determined that the ring was not in the grass or in the nearby flower beds, so we knew we needed to look elsewhere. I started by moving a ceramic planter, and the ring suddenly popped into view. It had been pinned, out-of-sight, behind the planter. Now, as Natasha settles into her new home, although she still has the heartache of leaving her original home, at least she doesn’t have to deal with the heartache of losing her wedding ring, too.
