Lost 14k Gold Diamond Wedding Band Beaumont Alberta Canada… Found.

I received a very distraught call last evening from Nuela as she was very distraught about having lost her wedding band.

She asked me if I could help her in locating her band which she had lost in the outside play area of the day care earlier that day where she works.

 I met up with Nuela today and she showed me the approximate area where she was with the kids, a roughly 60’ x 40’ area filled with wood chips and playground equipment Nuela was hoping her ring was in that area.

It took approximately 1 hour to locate her ring, located along the edge of the play area, As you can see the smile on Nuela’s face, she was very happy to have her ring back on her finger.

Property Survey Marker in Hamilton NJ Found by Dave Milsted

I received an email from Mark who asked if I could help him find a missing Property Survey Marker.  It was marked a year or so ago with a little flag but has since been moved by a neighbor.

We set up a time for the upcoming Saturday. The weather was perfect for a hunt. I met Mark and he showed me the area that he was searching in. The grass has been matted down pretty good from all of the foot traffic and hand & knees searches.

I got my CTX 3030 and started the search. I think I swung my machine twice before getting a good hit. Dug down with my trowel and unearthed the marker. The whole search took less than 1 minute. It took longer for the machine to turn on then it did to find the marker. Mark was searching about 6 feet away from where the marker was located.

If you have lost something metal in the South Jersey Area, including Southeastern Pennsylvania or Northern Delaware give me a call. Found Jewelry Amongst Glendale Fire Ashes

Mike lost about 60-70% in a fire in Glendale, CA a couple months ago. He got ahold of me through the RingFinders website and chose me due to my fire recovery experience from many previous fires. I pulled up to a large two story house up in the mountains. Once he showed me where his mother’s closet was, where a lot of the jewelry had been stored, it seemed like the majority of the second story and the roof had collapsed onto the first story. So I made a grid of the area, set up sifting screens, and methodically started to shovel material into the screens from one corner of the house to the other. After a short amount of time I began to find glass crystals which were remnants from a large chandelier, and many other artifacts that the family had from previous generations. After a couple hours of digging, I recovered a small, melted box that held many pieces of jewelry including a beautiful large, white gold cross covered with stones. After a little more searching, I made the plan to come back another day during daylight. About three weeks later after the heavy rain had died down, I returned to the site. Hesitant to climb a ladder to the second story, with a rickety burnt out floor and no roof, I started the same process on the second floor for other lost jewelry from a bedroom bureau. Right away I began to find earrings, charms, medallions, and many charred coins. I couldn’t find everything they had lost in the fire, but recovered everything that I could, that I could safely get to. Mike was very happy to call his wife and mother to tell them about the recovered jewelry that they believed was lost forever. They are looking forward to rebuilding their lives in a newly modeled home.

Ring found and returned at Mission Beach

I was running errands all day, so, I didn’t get the e-mail cry for help right away. When I finally realized it, I e-mailed back to say that I was available. After an exchange of information, I met Charles at the beach location that evening. He had been out playing football two days prior with other family members when…….well, we know the results of that! His wedding ring of 40 years came off somewhere during their romp in the dry sand. Initially, the search area was fairly good size, but, not ridiculous. Maybe half the size of a standard football field or a little less. After hitting some « hot spots » where Charles remembered being tackled in the sand and having no luck, I started a complete grid of the area. After 15-20 minutes I had found virtually no targets except a few minor pieces of foil and other junk targets. Not even one coin.  Hmmm…..maybe the area had been detected by someone else in the last two days and had already been found? I soldiered on and finally did find a couple of coins, and then, wow, a ring. Oops, not HIS ring. Oh well, not a bad looking ring, and not a bad sign either. At least that area hadn’t been detected extensively. I completed the whole designated search area and nothing more but a few coins. Darn, well, time to expend the search area. I made a few more passes at the north end with no luck.  Charles told me he hadn’t gone that far north, was resigned to the fact that it wasn’t going to be found, thanked me, and left for the night. I told him I’d hunt a bit longer and crossgrid the same area to make sure I hadn’t missed anything. I then went to the southern end of the search area and extended that a ways too. Still nothing. I then started my crossgrid and found absolutely no additional targets…..until……on one of my passes at the southern end, I was looping around to come back north, when I hit THE signal. Finally! It was getting dark and the search area was now about the size of a whole football field! A call to Charles resulted in voice mail, so, I left a message, sent an e-mail, and cooled my heels a while until he contacted me. I detected back south toward my truck, the bathrooms, and showers when Charles returned my call. He and his son then walked down to meet me and pick up his ring. A pleasure meeting you both and thank you for the generous reward. It helps keep the service going. Have a safe trip home today.

Lost White Gold Wedding Ring Found In Medford NJ by Dave Milsted

I recently received a text from a nice woman, we will call her Betty in nearby Medford. She explained that her husband lost his wedding ring in their yard. She also stated that she was heartbroken. She found me by doing a search for metal detectors, she was going to rent one, but found the Ring Finders instead.

She described it as a plain white gold thin wedding band.

We made arrangements to search 2 days later. I arrived and looked over the area, lots of trees, shrubs and leaves. This could be a long hunt due to the size of the property.

I started a grid search and immediately found the underground sprinkler system. Other than that, there were no signals in the area. About 20 minutes into the search I got a good signal. I looked down and could see the ring through the grass.

I started to take a picture of the location and the ring when Betty came over to see what I was doing. I picked up the ring and held it out for her. Tears streamed from her eyes. I also received several hugs.

Another successful search. If you ever lose anything metal, don’t waste your time trying to rent a metal detector. It takes years to learn how to use one properly, especially if you are looking for jewelry. I can search in shallow water, sand, dirt and grass. Need a property marker found? Give me a call.

Lost Keys Found Highlands Neighborhood Edmonton

Julie called me last evening requesting my service to find her VW key fob and office keys! lost while she was snow blowing her driveway! I told her I would meet her at her home first thing this morning and of course the weather changed overnight with temperature -4 below and blowing snow which would make the search a little harsh.

Met Julie she showed me where she had been shoveling and blowing snow around her home within 10 minutes I found her keys in the back alley behind her garage in about 6” of snow, Julie was very happy to have them back in her possession once again.

Lost engagement ring in Orlando, Fl….Found!

Jason called Thursday morning to see if I could help him find his wife’s lost engagement ring in some bushes at their apartment complex in Orlando! I asked a few pertinent questions to help determine where the rings might be hiding and if there was a good chance they could be found. Jason briefly explained what happened and mentioned that Amber, his wife, had actually lost both her wedding and engagement rings. And after a frantic search they were able to find the wedding ring but not the lost engagement ring! He went on to say that they contemplated renting a metal detector but then found theringfinders.com web site and decided to give me a call.
I reassured them that I would get there ASAP and that the chances were very good of finding her lost ring.
The actual area where the rings landed was small but full of various types of bushes, shrubs and decorative grassy types of plants. One of the grounds crew had actually used a leaf blower to try and remove some of the loose mulch to expose the lost ring, but may have actually blown the ring deeper into one of the bushes. I began my search along the sidewalk and investigated every possible signal using my Garrett pro pointer. I uncovered a variety of items and only 10 minutes into my search I got a great pull tab signal and brushing the leaves aside–there was Amber’s lost ring. I called the young couple over to see what I had found and it was a thrill to see their reactions and the smiles on their faces as Amber bent over and picked up her precious ring! It is always a great pleasure helping reunite a lost ring with it’s rightful owner!

Lost ring in Kaplan, LA – Found

Ashley called on December 22. Her husband, Rahn,  lost his wedding band, while working in the yard. Carrie and I were in California, spending time with the grandkids, so we set the 28th for the hunt. We arrived back from California and went the next day to FIND THE RING. Rahn had worked in the back yard but security camera footage showed the ring still on his finger as he left to do front yard work. He next went to the front yard to clean grass from three grated yard drains. The grass was tossed to the side and the ring may have left his finger with that motion. Carrie and I each hunted around a separate drain with no luck. I went to the third and final drain. The metal grating had caused problems searching the others but I got a strong signal a foot from this drain, far enough for the metal grating to not interfere. Buried in the grass was the prize. Ashley was beyond excited. It was a pleasure reuniting Rahn with his beautiful ring. Thank you for your generous reward. This allows us to continue providing our services.

Lost Ring In Prairieville, LA – Found

Rosetto called me on Tuesday. She had lost her husband’s diamond and tungsten carbide wedding band the day before. They had searched the yard without success. I questioned her on the loss. “Where do you think the ring is?” “It’s either in our yard, the neighbor’s yard or in the tree.” “The tree??” “I was really mad at him”.  Being 2 hours away, I told her I’d look at my work schedule and the weather and get back to her. I found an opening on Friday with neither rain nor work. Carrie and I arrived at Rosetto’s house and had her throw flagged test washers. All three washers hit the tree branches and fell within a foot of each other. Within 10 minutes of searching, Carrie had a good signal (80 on the AT PRO) and found the ring close to where the washers dropped.  Another very happy client. We accepted a generous reward after telling her, “We are  lucky you throw like a girl.“

White Gold Wedding Ring Found, NW Edmonton

Darcy call me yesterday to see if I could help him find his lost white 14k gold wedding ring? he was helping a friend disassemble a dog run in the back yard, he believed that the ring came off when he removed his gloves and could possibly be in two different locations.

Since the ring was in the back yard I told him I could meet him at the first house at 9:00 am tomorrow and search that area first since he thought that where the ring could possibly be.

This morning the barometer was @ –  21 Celsius  with a wind chill -31 Brrrrrrrr, believe me it was a bitter cold morning here in Edmonton Alberta, and a great day to go metal detecting,  I meet up with Darcy and he showed me where the dog run had been! You see every thing was covered with snow which for me was a bonus.

With in Ten minutes I found Darcy’s ring  he could not believe that I found the ring so quickly!  he told me he was very skeptical that his ring would be found.
