The sun was shining on the beach in North Wildwood, NJ, with the sound of seagulls filling the air. Angelo had been tossing a football in the surf the previous day. He felt his wedding band slip off into the ocean. He searched frantically, but the water was rushing in and the ring could have been anywhere. That’s when someone mentioned the Ring Finders South Jersey. Angelo reached out to me, and I arrived shortly after speaking to him. He told me where he thought the ring might be, and I began the search, scanning the bottom of the surf with my metal detector. After about 20 minutes of searching, my detector buzzed. I scooped up a handful of sand and shells, and there in the center of my scoop was Angelo’s wedding band. Angelo was ecstatic and it was a great day in North Wildwood, NJ!

While at work I got a call from a past employee Patty asking if my detector can find eye glasses in a metal frame. I told her it could and she asked for help. Turns out her husband while docking a boat slipped and fell into the water off the dock and his glasses flew off his face into the water. I had at first told her I’d meet her Saturday for low tide but I had a break coming up at work and it was already low tide so we agreed to meet in a half hour. I ran home and threw on a bathing suit and got my detector and headed to the marina. She showed me where he went into the water and it wasnt deep but the bottom was covered in seaweed. I decided not to use my scoop so not to damage his glasses. First signal turned out to be nothing and I moved to the side towards the boat and got another good signal reached down and felt around in the seaweed and felt his glasses. I untangled them from the seaweed and held them up and they were so happy to get them back. Her husband can see clear again and I saved him from having to get a new pair. A great ending to another recovery. Ran back home for a quick shower and back to work. Glad I could help

Melissa sent me a message in a bit of a panic—her husband Ed had just lost his wedding ring on the beach and she wanted to know if I was available to help. They were sitting right there when he realized the ring was gone. One moment he had it, and the next, it had vanished into the sand. I reassured them to stay put, letting them know I could be there in about half an hour. When I arrived, I quickly marked off the perimeter around where they had been sitting and got to work. In less than five minutes, I heard the satisfying clink of metal in my scoop. The ring was safely recovered, much to their relief. Another fantastic recovery on the Jersey Shore !!
