I got a call about a lost ring at Cresent Beach, it turns out it was close to the area that I searched for a lost silver moonstone ring, 3 weeks earlier. It’s not my favorite area to search due to huge rocks and a long hike into the area.  After discussing the search and looking at the tide chart we set a date for 4 days later to do the search. The story about the ring was the young man had lost it in waist-deep water, they were smart to make reference markers, one was a huge rock he was by, and the other was the trail they walked down. This makes a huge difference in looking for something as small as a ring. The young lady told me the story about the ring and how important it was to find it, it was a gift from her late grandfather who was 94 years old when he passed. It was his wedding band and now handed down to continue a new love story!

We decided to walk the railroad tracks because of the trails were closed, I definitely didn’t bring the right shoes, I wore my water boots soft soul and the walk was approximately 45 minutes to the location. Because of all the rocks around the tracks, my feet were extremely sore! We arrive at the location and just as we got off the tracks a train came whipping by, I couldn’t believe how fast it came around the corner, good thing we were off the tracks.

The young lady showed me the big rock where her husband lost the ring and within minutes I found the ring! I get as happy as the person who lost it when I find what I’m looking for! I love the smiles I find and the stories that are attached to the rings…I called this recovery…The Circle of Love.

A woman posted to Craigs List that she lost her diamond wedding ring while hiking the Haybrook trail head. I reached out to her with an offer of assistance. We had extensive conversations and many tips were provided to her on the most common places to search in her home and vehicle. Due to COVID concerns it has reduce some of my in home and vehicle searching efforts however I am always willing to share quite a bit of details and encouragement to anyone willing to take the time to work with me over the phone and in the field. She was quite hesitant not wanting anyone to have to go out of their way to go look over the trail again as she had made a second hike and found nothing. I assured her I was willing to go on my own ambition besides a great bit of exercise in some beautiful country! Hard to pass up an opportunity like this. Lost wedding ring Lake Ontario Park Kingston Ontario

Received an email from Andre yesterday, inquiring about me coming out to look for his lost wedding ring. Andre and his wife were at a rocky shoreline, at Lake Ontario Park in Kingston, where he went for a swim and lost his Wedding band in about waist deep water. Headed to meet him to see if we could find it for him.

Having looked at the forecast previously, and Mother Nature being on our side with keeping the winds fairly calm, I was able to get in the water and start looking for the ring. Conditions were challenging as the bottom was covered with large boulders, rocks and waves tossing me around back and forth. However, after 45 minutes of perseverance, was able to reunite Andre with his wedding ring. Really glad I could find it for him and especially since his second wedding anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks. Life is good.

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Mr. Lee and his family decided to go swimming at Wasaga Beach #1 on his 25th wedding anniversary!

The waters were getting rough mid-afternoon. He felt his ring pop off his finger and he tried to find it!

I received a call shortly after and headed up after work meeting Mr Lee and his Family! I started my grid search pattern with Mr. Lee in the water beside me and had no luck. The waters were calming down but there was still a little bit of an undertow. I had no luck after searching for 4 to 5 hours and decided to go back early Saturday morning! I continued again starting to grid search To the East of the previous days attempt!

Once I got back to the area where Mr. Lee felt his ring come off, I decided because of the undertow to search 10 to 50 feet behind where the area.

i had a solid crisp signal on the Equinox 800 with an “11” VDI reading! There was Mr’ Lee’s wedding band in my scoop!!!

Lost Engagement Ring Found in Sand Banks Ontario

This morning I met with a young couple from Quebec, vacationing at Sand Banks, Prince Edward County, for the week. Unfortunately, she lost her engagement ring at the beach yesterday while placing it in her nap sack before going for a swim. Let me suggest to you that if your ring has any monetary/sentimental value, have your initials and phone number engraved inside the band and perhaps have it ensured. Bad situation that ends well. Her reaction video, below, is really worth watching. Another happy customer. Life is good. 😊

Murphy’s Law, who is this Murphy? I’m in the ferry lineup to go see my grandson very early in the morning on Saturday when I get a phone call from a young lady who needs my help finding her lost rings that she lost at the beach the day before. Unfortunately, there is no way of turning back to help her so I told her that as soon as I get back Sunday evening I would go straight to the beach to search for her rings.

I know three days is a long time for people not to find the rings as there’s a lot of new detectorist’s out there now, that being said, it is a game of inches and I know the approximate area of the rings, so my chances are most likely better.

The young lady, Yoshi, told me that she couldn’t meet up that evening because she had to work, she sent me pictures and told me the exact location where she was sitting. I was totally fine with that as I know the beach pretty well.

When I arrived at the park I could not use their paid parking as it was closed, because of COVID-19. I drove further down the road and did find a spot and had to walk about 15 minutes to the beach. I figured it was a good thing because less people would’ve hunted that beach because of the inconvenience of parking.

I got to the beach just before dark went to the location she had sent pictures of and started my grade within minutes I found her two beautiful rings that were just inches in the sand, and lost for three days. I was so excited they were still there and more excited to send Yoshi a picture of her rings. We set up a time to meet the next morning.

Apple Watch recovery in Glen Ross Ontario, while Scuva diving.

Received a call about a person having lost their Apple Watch while diving off an old train bridge into a local canal/waterway near Glen Ross, Ontario. With the help of Diving partner, we were able to return the watch to the owner. Very lucky as conditions were very difficult with tons of weeds and silt. Yet another happy customer.

Lost Diamond rings found in Coe Hill

Got a phone call to go look for a couple rings that a lady had lost a couple days ago while swimming at a camp ground near Bancroft. After 4 1/2 hours of swinging the coil, and drinking tons of water to beat off the heat, I found them both about 3 feet appart in knee deep water. One happy lady and now, they can relax and enjoy the rest of their family vacation 🙂. Big thanks goes to Steve Zazulyk for putting me onto this call. You know anyone who has lost jewelry, on land or in water (down to 100 feet, Scuba), send me a PM. I cover anywhere between Kingston, Bancroft and Cobourg (including Prince Edward County). Life is good 😊

Lost Ring Kits Beach…Found

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Call ASAP  778-838-3463

This afternoon I received a call from a young lady who’s husband lost his ring in shallow water while paddleboarding at kits beach. She told me her husband was still in the water with others searching for the ring. I told her to tell him to relax and that I’d be there in 45 minutes,  I assured her I would find the ring if it was there.

The most important thing I told her was to mark the location where he belived it came off his finger. So many times people panic and forget to make mental notes of the approximate location the ring came off which makes it very difficult as we are looking for something very small in the ocean.

When I arrived and met Sam we talked a little bit and he showed me where the ring came off his finger. I grab my gear and headed into the water and after 15 minutes I tightened up my grid search and ask more questions, there’s a lot of iron pieces, pull tabs, and bottle caps in this area. I knew I would find his ring and I was listening for a very loud short signal in about 25 minutes I got that signal and pulled out Sam’s beautiful white gold wedding band. Sam was spot on with the location the only thing was that the tide went out by the time I got there and the ring was found close to shore.

I’ll never get tired of what I do, I absolutely love finding people smiles and seeing the reactions when I find their ring and put it back in their hand. I also get to meet some amazing great people and Sam is one of them, I have the best job in the world! Thanks for the virtual hug Sam and the kind reward, historical times this COVID-19.

White Rock Beach Lost & Found Ring

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Call ASAP  778-838-3463

I received a call to help a young lady find her ring that she lost a few nights ago at White Rock beach. We talked on the phone and she told me the story how her ring was lost, spending the night at the beach with friends having a few drinks, and just being young and having fun, she felt her ring slip off her finger while in the water at about waist deep. Polina then told me the story behind the ring and how much it meant to her to find it, I was up for the challenge.

This was a bit of a hike down to the beach as it’s not a place I normally search, Polina sent me pictures of the area and told me a friend of hers had searched a couple of times with the metal detector in hopes of finding her ring. ( Nice guy)!

Polina decided to meet me that day to show me the areas she was in and where she believed the ring was lost. The poor thing, she was pretty beat up from the coral on the rocks, she could barely walk, she was so cut up and scraped up. When we made it down to the beach I could tell it was going to be a very difficult search due to the size of the rocks in the area, the one good thing was Polina remembered a rock that was a pyramid shape where she believed the ring may have slipped off her finger.

With alcohol and the fact that it was dark out and the beach was lit by the moonlight, it was almost hard to believe she could remember seeing such a rock. When we got to the beach she pointed out a pyramid-shaped rock that she wanted me to check around and I did, but had no luck. I took a look around and started to do a grid search the best I could do considering the difficulty of the size of rocks in the area. After approximately two hours I found her beautiful ring! Guess what it was near, yes the pyramid-shaped rock… Amazing! Polina was correct in believing she had lost the ring by a pyramid-shaped rock… Fantastic memory! Great Smile & happy ending.

Polina was walking down the beach quite a ways away when I found the ring, I decided I was going to fake her out and tell her my batteries were dead in my metal detector and I had to go to my car… That’s when I surprised her with the ring!
