I received a text from Marcia wanting to know if I could possibly help her find her lost wedding ring in the grass in front of her business. I answered immediately with a few questions of my own…like what were you doing when you lost your ring? And when did this happen and did you actually feel it come off? Marcia responded saying she felt it come off and knows the exact area where she was standing when that happened and I assured her that it should be easy enough to find her lost ring? There are times when trying to locate a lost ring that it can be very difficult and the answers to all my questions help me determine the likely hood and possibilities of actually finding it. Marcia was thrilled to hear that I could come out the following day and conduct a thorough search.

After meeting Marcia and hearing the details of how she lost her ring I began my search. She said her ring was loose and on the small side…a size 5 to be exact and made of white gold. It took about 10 minutes to cover the small target area and I thought I had checked thoroughly every target that rang up in the small gold range but I was not able to find her lost ring. So I expanded the search area thinking that maybe it flew further than what we first calculated…and still I came up with no ring. This prompted me to grid search the same target area again only this time going perpendicular to my original search. I again checked every obvious and some « not so obvious » targets and then..BEEP, BEEP! A reading of « 44 » on my ATMax, Garrett metal detector in ZERO Mode indicated a good, shallow signal and there was Marcia’s lost wedding ring just hiding down in the grass. I wondered how I actually missed it the first time but the most important thing was…that we found it! I left it right there in the grass and had Marcia come and look where it had landed and we marveled at how easily it had vanished in the grass! After 27 years of married life she was able to wear her ring without that sinking feeling of having lost it. It truly is an honor to help those in need of theringfinders unique services and I thank God for leading me to Marcia’s lost ring and for the opportunity to be a blessing in her life.

Lost Hermes ring at the beach found with waterproof metal detector

  • from Miami (Florida, United States)

If you lost a ring in the water, in the sand or in the backyard, call me, Louis 305-608-1870.  I have a metal detecting service and can quickly come out and find your lost item.  In these photos above the young lady lost an expensive Hermes gold ring. It was just given to her and did not fit well.  The waves were rough this day and one knocked the ring right off her finger.  Once a ring comes off your finger in the water and falls down to your feet, it quickly buries itself with the motion of the waves and is out of sight in seconds.   The best thing you can do it mark a spot on dry sand and try to remember how far out you were.  That way when I get there I can easily find it for you, as I did here.

Wedding ring lost in November found in Damascus, Oregon

  • from Oregon City (Oregon, United States)

On Friday evening, I found a voicemail from Ron saying he had lost his gold wedding ring in late November while putting up Christmas lights in his yard. After chatting on the phone, we set up to meet at his home the next morning.
I arrived and met Ron who told me what he had done that day.

He said he had used a ladder to put up Xmas lights in some trees in his yard. He had also pruned a few branches and dragged them to another location on his property. When he realized his ring was lost, he had raked and sorted through materials in the area he thought the ring might be, but hadn’t found it. He had also purchased a detector at Harbor Freight, but only found miscellaneous junk items.
As always, I brought a couple detector options, but started with the Equinox 700. As Ron had been asking about detector details, and what to look for when using it, I didn’t use the headphones, and turned the volume up. As I searched the area, I received a scratchy sound, and we discussed that. A bit later, there was a hit, and Ron said, “That sounds different “.
Using my pin-pointer, about 2” down in the loose soil was what we were looking for!
Another great adventure, meeting a great person.

Lost ring in yard Bristol Tennessee…Found

  • from Johnson City (Tennessee, United States)

I received a call from a client who lost her ring in the yard. They had cut the grass as low as they could and searched everywhere for it. After searching for an hour I found the ring. It had fallen in a whole where a tree was removed. This was a more difficult search and I had already gone over the yard once but persistence pays off.

Lost White Gold Men’s Wedding Band in the Snow Found in Garden City Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

A Ruff Day…..

..Actually began for Travis Tuesday night when he took his dogs into the back yard and started to play in the snow. Toys were thrown and fetched and then snowballs tossed for the hounds to catch. After the wonder-fur time and frosty paws, with tails wagging the dogs went back into the house for the night as Travis shoveled snow off the deck. Early Wednesday, I got a text explaining that his ring was lost. I started to grid search with my MXT metal detector and got some junk signals but near the garage the detector signaled precious metal. Brushing the snow aside revealed Travis’ ring! He came over, we pawsed for a moment looking at it then he lifted the ring from the snow. Also very happy with the pawsitive outcome of the search, the dogs gave 4 paws up on the ulti-mutt recovery…….if you’re happy and you know it, clap your paws!
