Family heirlooom wedding band set recovered!

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

This recovery was a bit unique in the ammount of attention it received thanks to social media. I was tagged in a facebook post by a friend of a woman desperatley pleading for assistance recovering a wedding band set that was lost at the beach a few days prior. This facebook post was shared over 12,ooo times, YES 12,000 times! After making contact with the client and getting details I headed up to search for the set. This beach was about two hours from my normal search area but the client was very distraught so I decided to give it a go. I arrived at the beach around 6pm on August 3rd. This beach showed signs of extreme sand mvement, which is never a good sign as targets can be buried and moved along the beach in just one tide passing. After searching for several hours I got a tone I was hoping for and out popped the missing wedding band. I searched for over two more hours for the engagement band but was not able to locate it. Two other fellow Ring Finders were going to search for the second band the next day.  fter four hours of searching they too were unable to locate the missing engagement band. A day later a fourth detectorist offered assistance and it was also noted that several feet of sand had been carried off of the same beach by the previous tide cycle. The fourth detectorist was able to find the engagement band after a hour or so long search in the same area previously searched. BTW: I believe another Ring Finder has been created after he (detectorist #4) got a chance to see the reaction of the client being reuinted with the engagement band.

Clients review of service: « Jeff reassured us from the beginning. He was prompt, could NOT have been more kind, and found my ring in less than 10 minutes!! He is amazing. As a jewelry professional, I can truly appreciate the value of his services, but just as important is his earnest approach to this process. »

Mends Gold wedding band RECOVERED!

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

Client had lost his white gold band after it slipped out of his cup holder on his beach chair while rinsing it off at the end of the day Tuesday. On Thursday the client and a couple friends rented a detector to attempt to locate the ring themselves. Having no luck on their own, they chose to reach out for assistance. After speaking with Mark I took the short ride up to Ocean City and met with the group. Searched for about an hour and a half with no luck, shortly after everyone had left the beach I ended up snagging the band in the bottom of a ripple trough pool. Another happy couple.

Clients review of service: « So grateful for all of your hard work today! We can now end our vacation on a happy note thanks to you! »

Platinum diamond wedding band RECOVERED!

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

I was tagged in a Facebook group post regarding a women that had lost her ring on the beach the previous day. After being contacted by the client I strongly recommended that we needed to search for this ring ASAP as items in the dry sand are far more vulnerable to being picked up by a freelance Detectorist during the summer months.  I gathered some additional details & headed down to the beach to take a look. After about an hour or so of searching I was able to pick this beautiful platinum diamond band out of the sand around 10:45 PM.

Clients review of service: « Jeff is an angel. He searched for my wedding band late at night and found it! I’m eternally grateful for his kindness. »

Truck Key Lost in Church School Playground in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA…Found and Returned.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

I received a call from the pastor of a local church who explained that one of the staff of the attached school had lost her truck key while installing some new equipment in the school’s play area. The key had been lost for a couple of days, and the pastor and staff were in a meeting when the lost key was brought up. He mentioned the possibility of renting a metal detector to use in conducting the search. That is when Heather, a lady that we knew a few years back when our son’s played football together remembered I had told her about my metal detecting service. She found my number and gave it to the pastor. I was only about 25 minutes away, and agreed to come immediately to do the search.

When I got to the church, I met with Heather who brought me to the playground to show me what had happened. She explained how they had gotten sifters together, and planted toy dinosaurs and toy jewels in the sand to make a game out of finding things in the sand for the children, hoping that one of the children would dig up the key in the process, no luck. I started my search, and was getting too much interference from the screws holding the 2×4’s of the equipment together. We were able to move the pieces out of the way, which enabled me to conduct a thorough search of the area. It was then I received the tone I was listening for, and told Heather so. I took my sand scoop and had to scoop a couple of times, and then there it was. We brought it into Maureen who had lost the key. Needless to say Maureen was very happy to have her key.

Lost Gold Ring found at Solana beach

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

The Ring Finders Metal Detecting Service helped Find and Return a Lost Gold wedding Ring at Solana Beach.

I got a Call from Todd who had lost his wedding band at the beach in dry sand the previous day.We met up later at 5pm and went over the details of when/where it may have fallen as we walked down to the beach. He did buy a Detector from Big 5 and tried looking for it himself but those cheap machines barely function on these Socal mineralized sands.

As soon as we got there are hopes sank because the beach was Packed and the exact spot where he had lost it…Was Occupied by a family With beach chairs,Towels etc.
I explained to Todd I may have to come back that evening or hope the crowds clear up??
I began searching around the Beach goers eliminating some of the possible places to search with no luck. Todd was 90% sure that it was lost exactly where I could not swing over so we asked a lady if she could move a couple chairs to recover his lost ring and the lady fortunately was very kind and understanding and said yes!
I searched under and around what I could but still wasn’t confident with out a full grid search. There was also a metal umbrella,Tonka toy’s giving off signal’s,Back packs and did not want to dissrupt them too much So I spent some time after searching other areas.Running out of luck We decided to try around the metal obstacles once more and as I was scanning, the husband must of heard what was going on and was helping move some other things for us to better search the area..Thankfully to this Nice family I was able to Find The gold ring just under the corner edge of a towel where a metal chair was.

Thank You Todd for the Generous reward and thank you to the kind Helping family plus the beach goers who were cheering and Clapping after I had found it.The smiles and Positive energy from these hunts are always exciting.
