Lady’s Yellow Gold Engagement Ring Lost in the Sand, Found and Returned Oak Island NC

I, my wife, and youngest daughter were on our way to dinner when Brandon called wanting to know if I could help find his wife, Marli’s, ring. He explained that she had taken her rings off to apply sunblock to their young baby. He continued saying that she placed both the engagement ring and wedding band in her shirt. A little while later she saw her wedding band laying on the towel she had been sitting on, but no engagement ring. I told him I could be there around 8 p.m., about an hour and a half later. He told me he would check with his wife and call me back. As soon as I hung up, both my wife and daughter, almost in unison said, “You have got to go find her ring.” So I turned the car around and headed back home to drop them off and pick up my detector. I called him back and told him I was on my way and to text me the address.

After the 45 minute drive, I arrived at the beach at 7:30 p.m. I met Marli and Brandon, and we walked to the area in the dry sand where the ring was lost. Marli pointed out the area she had been sitting on the towel and applying the sunblock to her baby. I tested her wedding band with the Equinox 800 and got a VDI of 11, so I knew what I was looking for. On my fourth grid line, I got a strong tone and a VDI of 12 so I knew I had her engagement ring. I looked up and smiled at her and Brandon, and took a small scoop of sand. Her small size 4 or 4 ½ engagement ring was still hidden in the sand, so I lightly shook the sand out of the scoop and saw her ring peeking up through the small amount of sand left. Bingo! I took the ring out of the scoop and handed it to her. Big Smiles all the way around. She told me that she thought the ring was gone for good. Another chapter to add to their ring story.

Lost gold cross necklace at Lake Of The Ozarks Mo.

Deb contacted me wanting to know if I would look for a gold cross necklace. The necklace belonged to her teenage nephew and had fallen through the crack of their boat dock. I explained that I was quite certain that I would find it.
We discussed fee and expenses, then agreed to meet on Sunday. Upon arrival and after setting up the equipment, we lowered a small rope with a rock as a weight to the spot were the necklace went down. Using this method I was able to follow the rope down. The rock was positioned exactly above the necklace. Checking with my divers light yielded no result due to the area having been disturbed by previous attempts at finding the necklace. I then used my Garret pinpointer probe and immediately located the necklace. This only took about five minutes. I love it when a good plan comes to fruition!

Wedding Ring Lost at Venice Beach, CA…Found and Returned.

I was at the dentist this morning (always a pleasurable occasion:-0). When I got out, I noticed that I had received a call. I called the number back and talked to Walt. He had lost his wedding ring on the beach earlier in the morning. Time is always the enemy of a recovery, and because this had happened today, I told him I would be on my way as soon as I picked up my equipment at home.

When I got to the beach Walt met me and walked me out to the spot of the loss. He told me how he had put his ring in his back pocket, and when removing something from the pocket the ring must have flipped out into the sand. I began my grid, going over the possible area of the loss, and then expanded it out with no luck. Walt and his friends had moved their towels to give me access to more area expanding my search, but no luck. I did a cross grid over the whole area just in case the ring was on edge and turned, but no luck. We talked, and I let Walt know that the ring was not in the searched area. He felt I had searched all of the area he thought the ring would have landed, but I asked him to move the towels back, and I would go over the area they had moved their belongings to although it was way outside of the possible area of the loss. As I completed the first pass, I got a good signal, dug, and had Walt’s ring in my scoop. I held it up to his total surprise, he could not believe it had landed in that spot, so far from where he thought originally, no way. An awesome recovery!

White Gold Wedding Ring Lost at Hermosa Beach, CA…Found and Happily Returned.

Kevin called last night asking for help in finding his wedding ring. He was playing football in the sand on the beach, when his friend threw the ball to him. As he went to catch the ball, the ball hit his left hand knocking his wedding ring off of his finger. The loss had happened just a little while earlier, and he knew the spot where it happened, so it sounded like a real good possibility of a recovery. I told him I was on my way.

When I got there Kevin met me, and took me to the area of the loss. We talked about it, and he explained and showed me what had happened. He showed me where he figured the ring would have landed. I then let him know that things don’t always happen as we think they do, but sometimes the forces that cause the loss often make a ring go into a direction we would not normally think. I figured on doing a complete grid of the area, and set to start back away from where Kevin had originally thought; 1, 2 , 3 swings boom, a good solid tone in the headphones, one scoop, and I had Kevin’s ring in my hand to his surprise. He was overjoyed, and was able to reunite with his friends. What a great evening!

Got a call while at work from Kathy, she was on the beach with family when Lirio  lost her wedding band in the sand where they were sitting. She took it off to put lotion on her kids and put it in her pocket, getting ready she took off her pants and shook them out forgetting the ring was in the pocket. Shook the ring right out of the pocket into the sand. Told them not to move from the spot where they were and I’d be down after work. Met her on the beach and after digging a few other targets I found the ring next to the towels laying on the sand. As soon as she saw the ring in my scoop tears were flowing and the biggest smile. Great feeling.

On July 16th. I woke up from a text regarding a Lost ring at Carlsbad beach with the location and immediately was on my way. When I arrived at 6:20am I previously had texted Hannah back asking if she could meet me there to finer tune in the area this ring could of disappeared into the dry fluffy sand. I spent some time searching the approximate location until she called then came down the stair case minutes later.I asked her some questions to better help recovering the lost ring when Hannah told me she doesn’t know what the ring looks like or the exact area because it was lost just before the proposal! ….Uh Oh!

This scenario has actually happened numerous times to so many people believe it or not. I did search the heck out of the small 20’ X 40’ Zone crossing my grid pattern 2 times with no avail. Fortunately the Groom to be,Scott also arrived later so I asked him a few more Q’s & concerns when he eventually did say he felt the ring drop into the sand!
This helped me circumvent this situation much better especially after it was lost at night.It’s difficult to remember landmarks or the precise spot in the dark for us all which meant I needed to expand the area thoroughly.
So I expanded my search further south then further North beyond the embrasured area when I suddenly got a Signal and noticed what appears to be just another pull tab buried.So I dug it up anyways while Seeing the glimmer of a Gold Diamond ring that would make anyone smile:) 💍
Scott was relieved but in distraught about the hole ordeal although he must know how he’s very lucky to have met a beautiful gal in his life to Marry and call it quits forever and ever… This is one “Bucket list” thing I have never found after metal detecting for 12 years while saving marriages for over 5 years. I sure have come across plenty of Nightmares but no dream has ever come true for me.!

Ring lost in Arvada’s Ralston Central Park returned

Monday afternoon I listened to a message on our answering machine from Johanna stating that she had just lost her engagement ring in a park. I called her back but had to leave a message as she did not answer. Today, Tuesday, I called her back again and this time she answered. Johanna stated that both her and her mother in law had rented metal detectors and searched the park for a couple of hours and they did not find the ring. She then stated that she had given up hope on getting her 3 carat black diamond set in white gold ring back. I asked her if she would like me to give the search a try. She was a bit hesitant but eventually agreed to my searching for ring.

About an hour and a half later I was at the park and Johanna arrived a few minutes later. She showed me the areas she had spent some time at and explained what was happening when her ring went missing. Then her and a few friends went to grab some lunch leaving me to do the search. Before she had made it to the restaurant I had recovered her ring, it was in an area that was heavy with pull tabs and other trash. I sent Johanna a text picture of her ring, I can not put on this site her reaction but let’s just say she was very happy and surprised that I had found it.

I made my way to the restaurant that Johanna and her friends were at to return her ring. The smile on her face when I gave her ring back was amazing.

Today,I received a call from Rosalyn who lost her wedding rings in the sand 2 days prior while vacationing from Georgia at Mission beach San Diego.After some questions & concerns we both had,I explained to her that there is a chance I could help though I do not have a charge for my service.Often times I do get rewards which is entirely up to you and what you can afford but timing is Keene.

We set up a time later with the place to meet that day.As soon as I met Rosalyn at this very secluded beach in mission bay,I felt it was going to be successful search because it’s rare for Local Metal Detector treasure seekers at a spot like this,Cause was they usually comb the main beaches for lost valuables but also the sand was fortunately fluffy which can preserve rings or lost metals for a short while.

Upon arriving to the scene of the lost rings,Rosalyn showed me a rough 10X15’ area she was sitting in a beach chair near fire pits where these precious metals were last seen.

So I began my search,digging bottle caps left/right,Nearly every step or sweep was a target,Melted aluminum pieces,Pennies,Soda can pull tabs,Corona caps and then a quarter I realized..No hobbyists Detector has been here recently.I safely told her that this is a good sign!.. Yet I had already searched the main area she described so I continued my protocol grid search pattern swinging a little out of the box closer to the fire pit digging a lot of trash is when I looked into the scoop for the 20-30th time and saw a Gold circle & Stunned,,I asked what kind of ring was lost ??? She said Yellow gold! That’s when I showed the first ring while electrifying smiles light up all around :):) There where also some young campers hanging out for party time that night just feet away who saw me dig up the first ring in a shell shock look Saying “Wow” ”Cool.”
I then swung my Metal Detector over the same hole getting a similar signal on my machine so I reached down with out a handheld Pinpointer & magically had the Main diamond ring in the hand with just 1 hand or palm scoop out of the sand requiring experience.

Rosalyn was very elated and appreciative that  these rings were back on the finger, Especially the day before she was headed back home After nearly 3 days of them being gone.Good karma has prevailed again in this search and I’m glad to of soaked in quite a bit of it.
