Heirloom and engagement ring lost and found.

Received a phone call from a young lady last evening about having lost her engagement ring. This ring was very special as the diamond was a heirloom given to her fiancé, for him to have the ring especially made for her. She mentioned that she took her dog for a walk to the park and that she was also doing yard work in the back yard. The grass rack broke and she was picking up grass clippings with her hands. With that said, I was pretty sure the ring would be located in her yard. After 45 minutes of gridding the yard, I found the ring. It was so well disguised, in the grass, that there is no way anyone could of found it just by looking. I’m so happy I was able to reunite her with her beautiful ring. Her reaction in the video is priceless. All that ends well!!

18k Gold Ring Lost Gardening! North Stonington Connecticut

  • from Westerly (Rhode Island, United States)

An 18k gold ring lost gardening! This french bulldog tags along on my adventure! Anne lost her 18k gold Tiffany ring while gardening. This 18k gold Tiffany ring is dear to the owner as it was designed by the late Elsa Peretti – known for her sculptural and captivating jewelry design work.

Anne was braiding ornamental grass and believed her gold ring slipped off during yard work. A couple of days went by, and she decided to email me through rediscoverlost.com for help in finding her lost gold tiffany ring. I knew Anne from a couple of years ago when we thought a gold ring was forgotten in the grass. Now, I’m back to help find the lost gold with the high-frequency coil used on XP Deus metal detectors.

How to Find a Lost Ring

Lost ring in your yard? It happens all the time – as the weather warms up and the yard work begins. Don’t waste your time renting or borrowing a metal detector. Stop and mark the area where you believe the ring was lost. If plowing or shoveling occurs, block off the site to preserve the ring’s location.  My jewelry finding service covers Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and other surrounding states.

If you have a lost ring or something of value, contact Keith Wille now.

*** Kristal had been married less than a month before losing her white gold diamond wedding ring. She lives in an apartment complex with a nice work out gymnasium near the pool. She walked the half block from her apartment to do a routine exercise session. She had not left her new wedding at her residence, so she wrapped it in her face mask putting in a hand bag. Her idea was protect it from being scratched.

After exercising she walked back to the apartment along a sidewalk. She had been holding the face mask in her hand but didn’t put it on. When she got back home the ring was missing.

One week of checking the grass along the sidewalk, reporting the loss to management, the gardeners, community online forum and posting flyers the ring was still missing.

Kristal called me saying that I was her last hope. We met and she walked me through where she had been when the ring disappeared. The first thing I told her was we are beginning the search now as we walk the path she took that evening. We got to a street crossing and she didn’t want to go any further. I asked that she show me the entire route to make sure I can clear the grassy hiding places. I had not set up to use my metal detector.

As we walked, we visually spotted the white gold diamond wedding ring on the surface of the grass. It had survived the lawnmower and many people that could have easily spotted it. Kristal was more than elated, a very happy and amazed young bride. She told me that she’d  never forget this moment.

This has happened several times where we spot the missing item on the initial walk through. What made this different was that it was lying there for over a week and she said, she had probably walked passed it 20 times. Also, it was a very public area with lots of foot traffic. Moral to the story, “Don’t give up just before the miracle happens

Sapphire and diamond arthritic wedding ring returned! TRF Celina, Ohio

  • from Celina (Ohio, United States)

Debbie lost her beautiful, custom Sapphire and diamond arthritic wedding ring while working in her flower bed and yard near Indian Lake(4/26). She was absolutely devastated losing this custom piece. Along with her husband Danny, they both tried looking for it for a couple of days. They checked yard clippings, the trash, Danny even purchased a metal detector himself to try and locate the ring with no luck.

Danny contacted me (4/28) and explained the situation to me in the hopes that I could help. We made plans to meet up Saturday afternoon (5/1).

I arrived at their home where Danny related the story of what had happened that day once again while I looked things over a bit. After the information he had given me, not even 3 minutes into the search Debbie’s Sapphire and diamond arthritic wedding band had been recovered!

3 minutes into the hunt this custom sapphire and diamond arthritic wedding ring was successfully recovered and returned. 5/1/21

After a quick photo of the Ring, it was turned over to Danny so he could place it back on Debbie’s hand once again. Debbie and Danny both did an excellent job of remembering details and putting me right into the hotspot of the search area. That’s why this ring was recovered so quickly. I’m very happy to see another happy ending and another great story continuing with a beautiful piece such as this! Bonus is that my wife and I got to meet some extremely nice people. Great new friends and a happy ending!

It took a while but Finally!

Recover 5/1/2021 – I got a call about a lost diamond ring and after getting all the info I proceeded to the address. It ha actually been lost for 3 weeks which sometimes can be of concern. (someone found it, thrown by lawnmower, etc). Making matters worse it had the potential to be in some really tall prickly vines and grass. After 2 hours of searching I found it. So happy to see the ring back on this girls hand!

Lady’s White Gold Wedding and Engagement Rings Lost in the Sand, Found and Returned on Carolina Beach, NC.

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

I got a call from John Finnerin, The Ring Finder for the Wilmington NC area today asking if I could take a ring call for him. He had family coming in town and wasn’t able to take the call himself. “Absolutely!” So he gave me Justin’s name, number, and a brief scenario of what had happened. I called Justin and told him I’d be there in about an hour and a half, and I was on my way. After I got through the traffic, I called Justin to get more details. He told me that his wife, Ty, had taken her 3 rings off and handed them to him so she could get wet in the ocean. He put the rings in his lap for safe keeping. Within a few minutes he stood up to get a beer out of the cooler and the rings went flying. He saw one of them land in the sand and was able to find it, but wasn’t able to find the other two. I assured him that once I got there, he’d have the rings back on her finger within 5 minutes. I wasn’t being cocky, it was the fact that he had just lost them, knew exactly the small area where he lost them, and hadn’t moved from the spot since it happened. As a beach ring finder, these are the searches you dream of.

I called Justin when I got to the beach and he met me at the beach access ramp and walked me out to the lost ring area. I had him move a couple of beach chairs and a cooler. The search area was maybe 3’X5’, I turned on my Equinox and told him to time me. I was able to stand in one spot and cover the whole area. Boom, I got the 9 on the VDI that I was looking for. I took a small scoop of sand, checked the hole and knew I had the rings in the scoop. I gently shook the sand out of the scoop and held it up for Justin to retrieve both rings. I heard Justin’s friend say 10 seconds. Big smiles from everybody. I also found out that Justin and Ty were down from Raleigh, with another couple, to celebrate Ty’s birthday tomorrow.

Justin and Ty, thanks for trusting The Ring Finders to help find your lost rings. Ty, I hope you have a great birthday, and you guys have a safe trip home. Oh, and thanks for the shot!!

I got a text from Britt whose husband had lost his wedding ring. He believed he lost it while installing sprinkler piping in their yard. I let her know that I would be able to a search for them, but she said she would let me know if they needed my services. That was on a Monday, and on Friday she contacted me again letting me know they would like me to give it a try, so we agreed on a day and time to meet at their house.

When I got there Britt and her husband Chris met me, and Chris showed me the area he believed the ring was possibly lost. I began on one side of the yard hearing a lot of iron, and a few squeaks that were possibly good, but after exploring, no ring. As I continued my search Chris was helping dig each signal, which after not finding the ring each time might have been a bit disheartening. It wasn’t until we got to the end of the pipe that a good signal came through the head phones, and Chris dug. As soon as he pulled the clod out of the spot, I saw his ring, and reached in to get it for him. Both he and Britt were very excited. It was then that I learned they had purchased a detector, and had already done a search themselves which caused a lot of frustration with all the iron in the ground. It was a real pleasure to have been able to help them with this recovery.

I received a call from Armen in the afternoon asking for help in finding a lost wedding ring. His wife had been brushing sand off of her clothes, when her ring flew off of her finger, and disappeared into the soft beach sand. It had just happened, so I let them know I was on my way in order to have the best possibility of a recovery.

When I got to the beach Armen met me, and took me out to the area of the loss. I could see they had searched a good 20 x 20 foot area of the sand, but to no avail. I began my search in one direction to cover the small area they searched earlier, and found a quarter, and a dime, but no ring. Then focused on the larger area beginning to the side of where his wife had been standing, and got that strong signal in my head phones, scooped, and there in the bottom of the scoop was a beautiful gold and diamond ring which I held up for them. They were so happy to see it again, wondering why it was so hard for them to find. Sometimes it takes the right equipment along with the experience in using it to have a successful recovery. They slept well that night I am sure.

Karen emailed me earlier in the week to see if I would be able to search for a lost tungsten ring. Her fiance lost it while doing yard work a few weeks ago. I asked the usual questions, where? When? How? Any buried items? And so on…

We made arrangements for me to search Thursday after work. Of course, Mother Nature would play games and threaten with a Severe Weather Warning that afternoon. John was waiting for me. He showed me the 2 main areas of concern. He was working on removing a railing from the porch and then he was washing cars. My heart sank a little when he said while working on the porch he was throwing items into a large metal dumpster. It was pretty full with a lot of hazards. If John has my luck his ring is in the bottom of the dumpster. John also told me that the yard was cut at least once.

I started my search around the porch. John asked if he could watch. He wanted to know about my detector, a Minelab Equinox, and I showed him how my pinpointer also worked. There were a lot of signals, most of them 2+ inches deep. I didn’t bother looking at those, as I was trying to beat the storms.

After about 15 minutes I got a good tone, started to spread the zoysia grass apart and there was a nice looking black & gold ring. I pulled out my phone to take a picture & John was right there. He called me a “lifesaver” no pun intended. He was very happy! As we are both fully COVID vaccinated he gave me a big handshake. He said he would spread the word about my service.

I love my hobby!

Lost Gold Cross Pendant w/Birthstones, Found in Bristow, Virginia

  • from Leesburg (Virginia, United States)

Call Ray @ MyGoldFinder for lost items 571.258.7217.

I received a text from a couple, John and Amy in Bristow, Virginia. Amy had been doing some gardening in the back yard and as she walked around the side of the house she realized her chain was dangling from her neck, but the gold cross charm was missing. After searching for hours they placed a notice on their community website asking if anyone had the ability to assist. One of the neighbors suggested they reach out to theRingFinders.

I’m about 45 minutes from their location so I was able to head early after work the next day to do a recovery search with the hopes of finding it quickly as the area was not too large. Once I arrived Amy gave me the rundown of what she was doing and where she walked, so  initially conducted a quick search in the grassy area where she realized the charm was gone. No hits in this area so I decided to go right to the garden bed in the hopes it fell into the mulch/soil she was seeding for green beans and carrots. As I was working the bed, Amy was literally a foot and a half away from me and shouted, « I found it!! While watching me she happen to look down near her feet and there it was just laying in the grass. Great Karma, lucky find and glad to see her smile so big. Amy’s had the cross for 20 years and it holds the birthstones of each of her children, a very treasured item to say the least.
