Lost wedding ring found under dock, Cocoa Beach, Florida…and returned to grateful owner!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)
Contact:

Doug and his wife had just returned from a beautiful day out on the water fishing and as they unloaded some personal items onto the dock a very special ring dropped from the small table and bounced and managed to fall directly through one of the cracks and into the water below. This was a super sentimental ring and meant the world to Doug’s dear wife. Doug got right at trying to find someone who could retrieve the ring and looked up « Ring Finder » on his phone. Theringfinders.com service came up and he noticed a number of members of this service were in the area but none of them were equipped to do an underwater search of this kind. Doug eventually found my number and gave me a call.

It was the middle of December and I attempted a recovery dive but the water was just way too cold and we decided to try again later on the following summer. So in May when the weather and water temperatures were much more bearable I showed up to give it another try. The oyster shells were strewn across the bottom and this made digging difficult and the visibility was only a foot or two…until I would start digging and then visibility went to 10 inches. Other members of theringfinders.com have shared a wonderful idea that helps with grid searching in these types of conditions and that is a sinking pvc square that will sit on the bottom which allows me to methodically search an area even though I cannot actually see where I am going or where I have been but by following the grid with one hand and scanning the bottom with my small handheld metal detector with the other hand…I can cover an area very thoroughly and when finished I am able to move the pvc grid to another area and thoroughly search that area as well until I find what I am looking for. (Doug had also informed me that a few years back the dock was completely destroyed in a hurricane…so there was an awful lot of other signals to sift through before God allowed me to find Doug’s wife’s lost ring!)

What an honor it was to help find and return this precious lost ring to its rightful owner!!

How can I help you? Call or text me ASAP at 321-363-6029!

4 LOST RINGS IN LEXINGTON, NC……FOUND!

  • from Fayetteville (North Carolina, United States)

This young wife/mom was just devastated that she had left her rings on the zero turn mower and forgot to go back and get them.

Hubby went out to mow and well you can guess where they ended up! Yup, you guessed it, in the yard!

I drove 3.5 hrs, hunted for 6 hours for these priceless items! After spending about 4 hours in areas we thought they might have fallen off I decided to take two steps back and review the still frames again. I must have missed a key element or factor! I tried my best to follow his path from where he started to where he came up on the driveway to go mow the small side of the yard. They just had to have fallen off before that. Most ring recoveries is a lot of detective work and trying to figure out where is the mostly likely spot they could be!

After regrouping and deciding to go back to the beginning, I finally get a hit and I see one of the silver rings! Stand up get another hit and there is the engagement ring!

Two down and two to go! About 30 mins later I hit the 2nd silver ring! 3 out of 4 ain’t bad, but I don’t quit or give up easily! About another 30 mins go by and I finally find the last ring which turned out to be the wedding band and the 1st ring that had been lost!

I love this hobby and and love nothing more than to put a smile back on and individuals face when you walk up with what they thought was lost forever!

Platinum and Sapphire Ring Lost at Crawfish Boil in Texas City, Texas

Platinum and Sapphire Ring Lost at Crawfish Boil Festival in Texas City, Texas recovered by Houston Metal Detecting Services

Jeremy reached out and reported he had lost his Platinum and Sapphire wedding band a few days back while participating in a Crawfish cookout in Texas City. Jeremey said he believed he lost the ring while tossing crawfish remains or during the cleanup process after the event. Jeremey reported he had borrowed a metal detector a few days back and searched the area with no results. Jeremy advised on the day of the loss, the ground at the site was very muddy and the ring may have been buried by foot, or vehicular traffic.

The search was quick, and Jeremy was quickly reunited with his lost wedding ring…

Jeremy and his wife were both very happy to get their ring back!

Successful Search for Gold Chain Lost in the Sand at Huntington City Beach, CA.

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Call as soon as possible if you’ve lost something important that a metal detector can find. Contact Stan the Metal Detector Man .. Call or Text 949-500-2136 …,

I was at Huntington City Beach on a call out. While on that search for a cellphone on a massive area of the dry sand, Dave came off the beach to ask me if I had found a gold necklace. He had lost last night and had been searching for it since 6am.

He told me that he had wrapped his gold necklace in shirt laying it on the beach, while he took a dip in the surf. He picked up his shirt and realized the chain was missing after he returned home.

He was walking off the beach assuming that the chain was gone forever. I told him I could give the area quick search if he could walk me to the general area. The location was just a couple hundred feet from where I was, so I walked over to give it a quick scan. BOOM !! Dave’s gold necklace found.

Golden Pearl Earring Lost at Danville School…Found with Metal Detector!

  • from Walnut Creek (California, United States)

The Bay Area Ring Finders Brendon Chapman… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP     925-580-2590

On the Hawaiian Islands there are no shortage of kiosks and jewelry shops where one can pick out your own clam and harvest a pearl.  These shops allow you to also pick out and set your newly harvested pearl into ring’s, pendant’s, and of course a pair of earrings.  They make a great souvenir from what most likely was a memorable trip to the islands.

This story started roughly 8 years early, when a young 8 year old girl did exactly that.  The pearls where mounted into a pair of very cute golden turtle earrings.  These earrings over the years became prized possessions, memories of a great family trip to the beautiful islands.  So, when the young teenager was spending outdoor time with her family over the holiday weekend and lost one of these earrings, it was deflating. The teen pleaded for her parent to find some way of recovering the lost item.

Being caring and intelligent parents, they discovered THERINGFINDERS.COM and contacted it’s local operative.  This proved to be a huge win for the family and the lost golden turtle.  Once we met at the Danville, CA school field it wouldn’t take more that 20 minutes to MAKE THE RECOVERY!  You see, we were able to run the metal detector over the mate of the lost earring and knew the exact signal we would be looking for.  True to form, after a number of passes in our grid search the earring was returned to the appreciative family.

Special thanks to the family for entrusting me with this search!

Rings returned that tornado took away.

  • from Lincoln (Nebraska, United States)

Debbie lost all she had when a tornado wiped out her neighborhood. Ever since that event I have been advertising The Ring Finders on all the social media pages directed at the victims. We were able to return not only many sentimental items but also some rings, one being from her parents as a graduation gift in 1977. We will continue the effort in her neighborhood as long as people request.

Went back while doing another house nearby and found another ring, 925 and some more jewelry.

3 White Gold Rings Lost in the Sand, Found and Returned North Myrtle Beach SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

On Wednesday, May 22nd, I received the following text at 6:40 p.m. “Hey Jim, my name is Carly! I’m contacting you because I lost my wedding set on the beach yesterday around 5:15pm. We’re staying in the Cherry Grove area, right near the pier! We were on the left side yesterday. As you probably hear often, I took my rings off to put on sunscreen and left them in my chair’s cup holder. I didn’t realize until about 30 minutes later what had happened, and it was too late as we had already gone back to the condo. Unfortunately, I am back in VA today, but I have relatives who are still there until the end of the week. They are more than willing to show you around the area we were in!” Carly had originally posted the loss on a local Face Book (FB) Page. I know, because I had been getting notifications from FB that someone had mentioned me on a post. My wife also sent me a snapshot of the Post. Unfortunately, I was on another ring search and didn’t notice any of it until later. When I got Carly’s text message, I was at one of my granddaughter’s soccer games.

Instead of texting back and forth, I called Carly to get some more details. I also asked her if she could have her Aunt Yvette or Cousin Miranda call me so we could arrange to meet on the beach, and I could see the area. I was originally thinking we could meet around 10 pm, but then changed it to 8 pm so I could get a better idea while the sun was still up. Everything was arranged and we met a little after 8. Yvette knew for sure the loss was between 2 trash cans on the beach, but the trash cans were at the ends of 2 separate condos – big area. Miranda was sure the loss happened behind the smaller condo which was perfect. At 8, the tide was right at high tide, but I got the idea of the area. I thanked them for their help, and we left. My plan was to come back about 9:30 and do a grid search.

When I got back over there around 9:45 the tide had gone down quite a bit and enough for me to get started. I turned my Nox 800 on and started a north/south grid search parallel to the tide line, basically working the outgoing tide. With all 3 rings being white gold, I knew the VDI (visual display indicator) would ring up between 6-8, however if the rings are a small size and thin, the VDI could be in the 3-5 range. After about 30 minutes I got a banging 8 VDI, Bingo! I knew I had 1 of the rings. When I dug it out, sure enough it was the Wedding ring of the set. Swung my coil around the area and got another 8. Dug this one out and it was the Engagement ring of the set. Searched the area and wasn’t getting the 3rd ring.  What Carly had told me was when they got ready to leave, she folded up the beach chair and threw it over her shoulder, so this one could have been slung a little bit. I finished that grid line and started my next line and about halfway through the line I hit a solid 4 VDI. I dug it out and there was number 3. Looking at the ring, I understood why it was ringing up as a 4 – tiny and thin! I tried to get a decent picture but it’s hard when it’s pitch black out on the beach and I’m trying to get a picture with my phone. Fortunately, there was a young couple on the beach watching me, Katelyn and Danny. They felt sorry for me so they offered to help – thank goodness! I sent a picture to Carly of her rings and then called her. When she answered the phone, I said, “You see your text?” I think she was in shock. She wanted me to give the rings to her aunt, who she would see by the end of the week instead of mailing them, which I did. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a picture of Carly holding her rings with a big smile. Luckily, I had a picture taken of me holding the rings shortly after I found them.

Yvette and Miranda – Thank you for all your help in this adventure.

Carly – Thank you for trusting me to find your lost treasures, glad I could help.

Jim

Gold Wedding Band Lost in Surf at Salt Creek Beach, Dana Point, CA. Found and Returned

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Don’t waste your time renting or buying a cheap metal detector. If you don’t have any experience operating one, it could be very frustrating. Let me come to you with the best equipment available and experience for recovering all types of sentimental keepsakes. Stan the Metal Detector Man.. Mobile metal detecting service .. 949-500-2136

Hailee called me asking for help find her husband’s gold wedding ring. They were at Salt Creek Beach, Dana Point, CA. While throwing a football at high tide in ankle deep water his ring slipped off his finger into the surf, disappearing immediately .

After discussing what had happened and it had been the day before calling me. I determined it was possible to find it at the next low tide. Hailee was not able to meet me at the location which was not a problem. She sent me photos with good land marks in the background.

The next low tide I was at the location and the ring showed up almost exactly where she described the spot.

She picked the ring up later that evening with the intention of surprising her husband that night. Awesome recovery and a very nice lady.

I’m ready to help you find your missing metal item lost at the beach, yard, park or in the water. Also I have been able to recover jewelry in cars, homes or other places where a metal detector can’t be used using endoscopes and other search tools.
