While on the hunt for another man’s lost wedding ring at Madison Park Beach I was detecting the shallow swimming area and recovered a sterling silver simple men’s wedding band. I noticed it had a 2009 wedding date inscribed inside the band. I knew this obviously held some significant value to someone. It was found in such a place that it had to be an accidental loss. Being after the hours of the lifeguard shack it took the course of a few days and several phone calls. Eventually I was able to get information from the Seattle Parks Departement that lead me to the owner a man named Alex. Alex was a bit confused at fist when I called to confirm his lost ring then he realized after I texted him a photo of his ring that I had in fact found it. We arranged to meet during his early morning commute to work. During our encounter he explained that this ring was hand crafted by a jeweler from his home country and it indeed holds a deep sentimental value to him and his family. He was very appreciative to have it back just in time for his ten year wedding anniversary soon arriving. I am thankful to have reunited this ring to its owner allowing its history of memories and new stories to continue on with Alex for many more years to come.

Jennifer was on the beach in North Wildwood, NJ this afternoon when she had the misfortune of having her engagement ring and wedding bands slip off of her finger into the ocean during high tide while helping one of children with a towel. I met with Anna, Jennifer’s mom, and started a search after asking several questions about the lost rings. After about 25 minutes detecting in the ocean, the engagement ring was found approximately 6 inches deep. The other 2 rings were found in the surf just minutes later approximately 25 feet from the engagement ring. The rings are very sentimental to Jennifer, so she and her family were overwhelmed when they were recovered. Thanks goes out fellow Ring Finder Jeff Lagg for the referral.
Pall contacted me sharing that his young daughter had recently been give a very special ring from her grandmother. After having only had the ring for about a week his daughter was in the back yard tossing bread crumps to the lovely ducks when the unthinkable happened. Out went the bread crumbs along with the cherished gemstone ring! Having a girl with a broken heart Paul knew he had to find someone with a machine to efficiently recover this ring from the silty duck pond.

Susan called me explaining that her husband, Rob, had recently lost his wedding ring on recent boating trip five days prior. The two of them left Point Defiance Marina and motored over to Vashon Island for an enjoyable day on the water. She explained that Rob was on the beach looking at the rocks when a small wave splashed his ring off into the silty water. Rob instantly froze and tried to stay standing over the exact spot. Unfortunately the water was silty and they had no way of searching for the ring. I am happy that Susan was able to find me.
Received a call from Leon that he lost his six month old white gold wedding band while playing Cricket in Marymoor Park, Redmond, WA.
Leon was visiting from Chicago along with some of his mates from New Zealand. They have been on a traveling Cricket tour visiting many different places. When Leon was fielding he decided to slip his wedding ring into his pocket. He said he was quite concerned that it might fall out of his pocket and indeed it did. After quite a bit of fuss searching through the grass and having no luck with a visual search he looked on line for additional help.
I am happy for him that he was able to reached out to me with a prompt call and wiling to provide a lot of detail from what he could remember of his incident.
While at work I got call from Sriharsha who asked for help in locating his ring he lost while swimming at Belmar. Seems he got hit by a wave and knocked down, when he got back up him ring was missing. Told him I’d meet him after work. He took me to where he was swimming and I started to look. 2 hours in the water and on the slope I couldn’t find it. I told him I’d try again the next night at low tide with a friend of mine to help. We got there a little before low tide and I found the ring mid slope. Called him and made arrangements to meet him to pick up his ring. He was so grateful and didn’t think he’d ever see his ring again. In my haste I forgot to ask for a picture of him in the return ( sorry ). But the smile on his face did say it all. It was Memorial Weekend 2019 in Ocean City, Maryland! People are finally bringing their fun back to the beach! Summer is kicking off with great weather and family celebrations! But with all the good times, there are the occasional trials that come our way! One such adversity happened for Anne and Bill of Baltimore, Maryland.
Anne was hanging out with her lovely family on the beach in Ocean City, enjoying her little daughter Stella playing in the dry sand and adults talking with friends. Bill was settled in his sun chair and quite content with his Bud Lite. Anne reached for her beach cover up and as soon as she finished placing it on, she realized that she wasn’t wearing her engagement ring and wedding band! Apparently, Anne had wrapped the priceless keepsakes in the cover up and forgot to remove them and slip them back on her fingers. The rings ended up in the dry sand somewhere in the midst of where everyone had been hanging out.
Anne began to panic. These rings meant everything to her. The family, including young Stella, along with friends and nearby beach acquaintances, searched relentlessly to find the rings. Unfortunately, none of the beach goers could find even one of the rings in the sand.
This is where Julian comes in. He was really the hero of the day! This young man is a friend of the family. He too searched long and hard. Finally, he decided to look online to see if there was any kind of service that could help people like Anne and Bill. He found THE RING FINDERS! He called me up, explained what happened, and within 10 minutes I was on my way to help! You have to keep in mind that Ocean City, Maryland covers over 150 streets of beach. So, I could have been anywhere at the time of the call, but it just so happened that I was only 20 blocks from where the rings went missing! Perfect timing!
I met up with Julian on the beach, who then guided me to the area where Anne accidentally dropped her beloved bands. The family was so sweet. Stella was precious! She was so eager to help recover the rings. I talked with Anne and she literally fell apart emotionally. She felt so bad for what happened and she couldn’t find any hope within her that the keepsakes would be raised from beneath. So, I loaded her up with comfort, letting her know that everything would be just fine. Anne explained that her engagement ring was a family heirloom passed down the family from her beloved grandmother. She was upset about losing it and her wedding band, as well. When everyone’s attempts had failed to find her rings, she feared that the tide would come up the sand and carry her rings out to sea. The thought of her rings never to return to her was quite devastating to think about.
I got right to work. Everyone on the beach who had been settled near this family all took notice of what was going on and they watched as I started to search for the rings. Anne and Bill gave the approximate area and I handled the rest. Little Stella was my side partner on hand.
It took no more than a minute or maybe less before I got the first signal that I was looking for! Ring Number 1 which was Anne’s wedding band came out of the depths of the sand! The beach goers all let out a resounding applause! It really was a lot of fun how everyone took part in the celebration of seeing the ring return to Anne’s finger! I gave the ring to Stella to then hand it to her mother. Anne started shedding more tears, but this time they were fresh tears of relief and happiness! Yet, she was still not content! Her priceless engagement ring was still buried somewhere and she continued to cry in desperation. The suspense was not over for her just quite yet.
Another minute or two passed after continuing my search and then the next target signal hit my detector screen and sounded off loudly in my headphones! I knew it was the other target that I had been searching for! I gave Stella my pinpointer device to help find the missing ring even faster after the detector gave me the number I was looking for. She helped me bring her mother’s ring to the surface as she used the hand device to find the ring in the sand. She then located the precious metal object and there it was! Ring Number 2 was now revealed! The packed crowd on the beach cheered once again! Everyone was so happy for the family! I let Stella do the honors once more and carry the engagement ring over to her mother. Anne just sobbed tears of happiness to now be reunited with her engagement ring! One of the ladies sunbathing near Anne’s beach chair, wrapped her arms around her and helped Anne to calm down.
I was so happy for the family! Bill hugged me and offered me some beer to take back to the car! Julian also gave me a hug and thanked me. I commended him for helping the family find THE RING FINDERS service! Stella was beaming sunshine smiles and all of the beach neighbors gathered around to check out the rings that were successfully recovered! A priceless moment that I will never forget!

Got a call from Toni Ann and Joe that Joe lost his late mother’s wedding band he wore on a chain in the sand. He was playing with a toddler on the beach and she kept pulling on the ring so he took it off the chain and put it on his pinky finger. After playing and then walking around the area, then sitting down he noticed the ring was missing. I told them I was about a half hour away but will get there as soon as I could. Met up with them at their beach club and they took me to where they were sitting. They showed me about a 25 foot square area they thought the ring might be in. I told him I wasn’t leaving till he had his mom’s ring back. I started at one end and about a third of the way through I recovered his ring for him. They were so happy to get the ring back. Glad I was able to return it to them. Randy from Alaska was visiting his sisters family for a huge back yard lake party for their 4th of July celebrations. They had over thirty five friends and family in attendance and the festivities were in high gear. Back yard BBQ, plenty of cool drinks and lost of swimming was enjoyed by all. Then it happened Randy reached the dock and realized his Gold Diamond wedding band he’s had for the past twenty five years was lost in the silty waters below the dock! Of course with no lack of friends and family to help the hunt was on but the elusive ring remained hidden.
Randy’s son Spencer called me explaining the predicament they were faced with at his aunts lakeside property and I gladly accepted the challenge.

It was a hot July summer day in Seattle and Mike has applied sun screen all over his hands and arms. Then he decides to take a dip in Lake Washington to cool off when a little wave came by from some passing boats. As he moved his arms through the water off goes his white gold wedding ring!
