Ocean City Md Lost and Found

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

I found this on the beach buried about 6 inches down. I did not know what it was at the time but after I got home I discovered it was a $7,000 Medtronic Insulin pump! I called the company and for medical reasons they could not give me the owners name but asked if they could give the owner mine. I said sure since my goal was to return it to the owner. I got a call from the owner and was able to mail it to them. Another successful return. Gigmaster on Youtube

Grandfather’s lost ring found

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

This was one of my toughest recoveries. I was approached on the beach about a lost ring. It was lost in deeper water and the tide was rising with big waves. I knew the only chance was to take a beating in the waves before it was lost forever. After loosing my hat, headphones a few times and a few other items the ring was recovered and given to a very happy man. Gis deceased grandfather may have had a hand in guiding me to this recovery. How to Find a Lost Ring in the Yard with a Metal Detector Ashville, Alabama…

I received a phone call from Shayna on Wednesday evening (August 18, 2021) stating that she had lost her engagement ring on Monday while walking in her yard in Ashville, Alabama.  Shayna and her fiancé tried looking for it with a metal detector, but were unable to find it.  I was off on Friday, so we arranged for a search that morning.

I arrived at their home in Ashville, AL on Friday, August 20, 2021.  Shayna showed me the area in her yard where she thought the ring had slid off her finger.  She told me that the ring was 10k rose gold with diamonds.  It was her fiancé’s grandmother’s ring.  I began a grid search with my Minelab Equinox 800.  After clearing the general area Shayna told me that the ring should be in, I expanded my grid search.  Soon after, Shayna told me that she had to be honest and that it was actually a ring toss.  She said that she had immediately regretted throwing the ring.  This happens a lot; people have disagreements and sometimes rings go flying.  We’re all human.

With this new information, I had Shayna show me exactly where she was walking and how she tossed the ring.  It was a sideways toss.  I also had her fiancé show me where he remembered her standing when it happened.  Her fiancé said that she was about 5-10 feet further than Shayna remembered, which was in an area I hadn’t searched yet.  I expanded my grid search in that direction and soon after I found Shayna’s ring!  The grass was on the taller side, so it easily hid that beautiful 10 karat rose gold engagement ring.  Both Shayna and her fiancé were relieved and glad to have it back!

BIG Diamond Ring Found in Va Beach!

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

I got a call about a lost platinum ring with a large diamond. It was lost at night close to high tide in the water. I knew low tide was coming up and it would probably be dry in that area when I arrived. My friend Gene was already down there and he helped me search for the ring. After 2 hours I got a hit in the range I thought it would be. BAM! The video will be on Gigmaster on youtube!

Lost Gold Ring at Davis Bay on the Sunshine Coast…Found!

My day job consists of mostly 13 hour days and it’s rare to get time off but luckily this week, I had two days off where I was able to recover two items for two very happy customers. The universe works in wonderful ways for this story because this couple were ending a beautiful 10 day vacation in the Sunshine Coast, unfortunately they lost a very special ring.

They went online and found TheRingFinders directory and gave me a call that evening, they told me they were returning back to Toronto the next day and luckily I was off work that day so we arranged to meet in at 12 noon at Davis Bay.

After a 3 hour wait at the ferry terminal, 40 minute ferry ride and a 40 minute drive, I arrived at Davis Bay, I heard the story about how the ring was lost and the couple showed me where they lost the ring on the beach, remember it’s a big beach and what seems to be a small area could always turn out to be an extremely large area and as you know it’s a game of inches and you have to go over the ring to find it. The difficulties of this search was that it wasn’t lost in the sand it was lost in fist size rocks, making it slippery and difficult to search the area properly.

After listening to their story and where they believe the ring came off I started my search, I knew I was under a bit of pressure because the sooner I could find this ring the sooner they can start getting ready to make their way back to Vancouver to fly out to Toronto that evening.

After approximately 40 minutes of searching I found his beautiful ring!  I was so relieved and happy to find it so quickly knowing that they could comfortably take a ferry back over to Vancouver and drive to the airport and catch their connecting flight to Toronto. Success!

3 Rings Representing 40 Years of Marriage…Lost, but Now FOUND Nashville, Tennessee!

Christina McCree – Lost Item Recovery Specialist for North Alabama and surrounding areas…call or text ASAP, anytime 24/7…610-504-6135

I received a phone call from a very distraught Lynn on Wednesday afternoon (August 4, 2021). Lynn told me that she had lost all 3 of her very special rings (2 white gold and 1 platinum) she received from her husband of 40 years, Peter, for their engagement and anniversaries.  I could hear how much these rings meant to her as she explained the details of the loss.  The day prior, Lynn was about to go to the store, so she went through her normal routine of putting on lotion and 3 rings on her left pinky.  Before Lynn left, she decided to water the plants and refill the olla’s outside of her home in Nashville, TN.  She noticed a few weeds and did a few other minor chores outside.  By the time she was done, an hour and a half had passed.  Finishing up the yard work, Lynn was reaching for a tomato she had picked and noticed that all 3 rings were gone!  She told me that she knew she had the rings on when she started and could show me exactly what she did and retrace every spot she was at.  Lynn and Peter had spent numerous hours looking and even tried searching with a metal detector.  I reassured Lynn and told her that if the rings were there, I would find them.

We arranged for a search on Friday morning (August 6, 2021).  After I arrived, Lynn re-enacted everything she had done on Tuesday in great detail.  I started a very thorough search, checking every square inch of the plants and yard where she was pulling out weeds.  I cleared the side of the house and front yard.  I began searching the front shrubs and planter on the front walkway.  I pulled out my Garrett “Carrot” pinpointer to search the plant.  When I parted the plant on the left side I couldn’t believe my eyes with what was staring back at me!  Wow…3 beautiful rings just lying there in the planter!!!

I was able to snap a few pictures.  Peter then stepped out to see how the search was going.  I told him that I had just found Lynn’s rings.  He could hardly believe it.  I quickly showed him the rings sitting in the planter.  I told him that we should surprise Lynn.  Peter went in the house and told her that I needed to ask her a question.  Lynn stepped outside and I asked her to re-confirm what she was doing in the front and if she watered that plant.  She showed me that she had filled up a wine bottle with water and flipped it down into a terracotta spike on the right side.  I asked if she worked on the left side where the rings were.  She caught that first glimpse and just lost it!  I’m not the best at surprise reveals, but this was one of the best reactions I’ve ever seen.  Tears of joy, happiness, and relief!  This is why we do what we do!  We determined that Lynn’s rings came off when she was reaching in to feel for the spike to replace the bottle.  They must’ve snagged on the vegetation, but she never felt them slip off.

This search only took about 20 minutes, but I stayed afterwards and chatted with Lynn for about 2 hours.  I really enjoyed this adventure, and it was an absolute pleasure meeting Lynn, Peter, and their dog, Jim!  I give all glory to God.  I have to say that it’s truly a blessing being a member of The Ring Finders.
