Barnegat NJ Lost Wedding Ring in the Yard recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder 2022

Anthony was doing some landscaping in his yard. After he was done planting a couple of things, he discovered his wedding ring was missing. Not being visible on top of the ground and not knowing how deep it may be buried, he wasn’t able to find it. An online search brought him to TheRingFinders.com and my contact info. We made arrangements for the search the next morning. I arrived with a buddy of mine and got the low down on where Anthony was working and other possible locations where the ring could be. First plant in the back yard, nada, so, we went to the side yard and the other plant. There was also some fresh bark that he had spread over the ground around the new plant. Hunted one side without a sound, I swung a bit over to the other side and got a weak jumpy sound off to the side a bit. I walked around to the other side and tried again. Still a bit of a strange signal, but, my coil was up against an adjacent pot, so, I just got out the pin pointer and investigated. Zeroed in on the target a couple of inches down and discovered it was his ring. Being a mix of tungsten carbide and gold probably produced the odd signal. A pleasure to meet you Anthony, and thank you for the reward. Hopefully the Padres will go to the World Series next year!

Mariam recently came to the U.S. to study at the university level in Minnnesota. While enjoying a day at a local fall festival with friends, Mariam lost a ring that her Mother gave to her just before leaving for America. The white gold ring was designed as a Mother/Daughter ring to help Mariam feel close to home while away. She rented a metal detector and searched for 3 hours only finding a few coins. While searching the internet for help, Mariam came across theringfinders.com and called me right away. I met her out at the festival the next morning and she pointed out the area she believed the lost ring would be. It only took about 10 seconds, my first hit and I found the beautiful double heart diamond filled mother daughter ring. Congrats Mariam, so glad I could help.

I received a desperate call for help from John who lived in Colorado. He was calling on behalf of his fiance, Bebe, who lost her engagement ring while visiting her sister and girlfriend in Washington DC. The couple was to get married in less than 2 months. The two of them were devastated over the loss of the very sentimental and priceless jewel.
While Bebe and the others were taking photos by the Washington Monument, she realized that she was not wearing her 14 karat white gold, 2.5 carat solitaire diamond engagement ring with 2 carats worth of diamonds that were set into the band. With little panic experienced at that time (because she thought that maybe she had left the ring on the nightstand at her sister’s house), the young lady (along with her entourage) walked back to her friend’s car to see if the ring was lying near the curb on Constitution Avenue (because she remembered hearing something fall on the concrete just as she was getting out of the car when they first arrived). Unfortunately, the very sentimental and expensive keepsake was nowhere to be found. However, as I mentioned, Bebe wasn’t too concerned about it since she still thought she may not have worn the ring out of the house that day.
That night, the women searched the apartment for the missing ring and still it did not turn up anywhere. This started to worry the young bride-to-be. Then, in the middle of the night, Bebe, who couldn’t sleep at all, remembered that she had applied lotion to her hands in the backseat of the vehicle just prior to taking the walk onto the Washington Mall grounds. It was then that she began to panic. She woke her best friend up and the two of them went down to the car to check around the back seats hoping that the engagement ring ended up somewhere on the cushions or on the floor. Again, Bebe came away with nothing. It was at that point that the friends took off into the night and searched along Constitution Avenue in the vicinity of where they had originally parked the car the day before. Sadly, the bride-to-be had to call her fiance up in Colorado to let him know that the ring was gone and that it had presumably fell out of the vehicle after applying lotion in the car prior to touring the Monument grounds. John was crushed because he had spent a great deal of time searching and purchasing the diamond ring and planning how he was going to ask his sweetheart to marry him. Now, it appeared that the jewel was gone forever… until a glimmer of hope appeared…THE RING FINDERS, the elite international directory of metal detectorists.
As soon as I got the call from John who found me on THE RING FINDERS website, I instructed him to publish a Craigslist ad in the attempt to get word out to the public just in case an honest person was searching for the owner on the online website. I told him that I would not be able to get out to the site until later that evening due to having another client for the remainder of the day. So, later that evening, I drove to downtown Washington DC and searched all along the street and grassy areas between the curb and the sidewalk. Ironically, I did find a ring but it was not the one we were looking for.
After completing the search on Constitution Avenue, I called my client and let Bebe know that I didn’t find her engagement ring anywhere in the area. I advised her that it would be a good idea for me to check her girlfriend’s vehicle just to make sure that the ring did not end up in some unexpected crevice or crease in the backseat. She told me that she was pretty certain that they cleared that area when they looked back there in the middle of the night, but she said she would welcome any more support possible just to make certain that the ring wasn’t in the car.
The next morning, I met up with Bebe and her friend to inspect the Toyota Corolla. First I checked the floor and under the front seats from the rear side. The jewel was not in those places. Next, I used my endoscope to check inside and under the rear seats. I spent about 45 minutes placing the probe into various spaces and creases with the hope that I would discover the diamond ring somewhere in one of the crevices that I explored. Just as I was about to wrap up my investigation, I decided to check one more place deep down beneath the rear seat where Bebe had been sitting when she applied lotion to her hands just after taking her engagement ring off. My scope showed nothing unusual for most of the time that I was monitoring that particular spot, and then something curious appeared on my screen! The video probe picked up what looked like a piece of jewelry in the shape of a halo. After adjusting the endoscope for a few minutes just to get the right angle to see what exactly I was observing on my screen, I couldn’t believe what I had discovered! I did it! I discovered the gorgeous 4.5 carat diamond engagement ring! Apparently, the sentimental keepsake must have rolled off of Bebe’s lap when she was getting out of the vehicle and then it fell down into a hole located to the left of the seat belt lock. Most of the time, rings that are placed on laps end up coming out of the vehicle and dropping onto the concrete below. In this particular case, Bebe’s ring stayed in the car!
Once I identified where the ring was hidden, I used my special tools to grab the jewel from under the right rear passenger seat! My client and her friend were in a state of disbelief! They couldn’t believe the news that I shared with them that I had identified and recovered the missing ring! We all celebrated with a feeling of elation that I had not experienced in some time! It was just one of those moments that I will never forget! I had found the ring in a place where no one would have searched and certainly no one would have ever found it! That incredible piece of jewelry would have ended up in the salvage yard once the Toyota Corolla had its final day on the road.
Just a few minutes after I returned the ring to its rightful owner, the three of us Facetimed John and surprised the living daylights out of the depleted young man! The look on his face was incredibly memorable! He could not believe that the nightmare was over and that the presumed unrecoverable ring had been pulled from Bebe’s girlfriend’s car! He could not have been happier with the news and he looked as shocked as the rest of us were!
My client told me over and over again just how grateful she was that I never gave up when I didn’t find the missing ring downtown and that I then suggested searching the Corolla! And when I didn’t find the keepsake in the vehicle for so very long, I still did not give up the fight but I continued until that exquisite « symbol of love » was surprisingly located and recovered! I was very proud of my work that morning and I certainly will never forget this particular search!

While detecting a local park, I found a 2018 Grad Ring. It had a date, the school initials, a first name and initials. I called the ring company and the school and neither were able to help. In the end, I connected with some students that attended the school at that time and was able to find out who the ring belonged to and in turn, I was able to contact her through Facebook. Here is that return video.

I received a text message the other night in regards to a lost ring at Spanish Banks Beach, in the ocean. The message asked if there would still be a chance to find it the next day as we were being hit with some high winds. I text back and said absolutely worth a shot, so we set up a time to meet the next morning, when I met this young man I could tell how much this really meant to him and his wife. He went on to tell me that he was only married for a little over a year and the ring meant the world to him and I could tell how much he loved his wife and didn’t want to upset her with the news that evening. He waited to tell her the next morning and he said she was very upset and he was in the doghouse for a little while, but after telling her he had asked me to come out and help that put her mind to rest a little bit.
He told me it was dark when he entered the water so I got him to mark off an area for me to search, I also knew because it was dark he may be off the mark by who knows 10, 20, 30 yards?. He had to get to work so I got down to business and started searching the area where the high title line met the dry line. He told me he was only 10 feet below the high tide line, of course I would search much further down for the what if factor. I was pretty confident his ring was going to bed down pretty quickly in the sand due to the weight of his ring.
After close to 6 1/2 hours (17,961 steps) unfortunately I did not find his ring, I reached out to let him know, I could tell he was very disappointed, I told him I was going back the next day to extend the search area. That night I laid in bed thinking what I could have done differently, was there something I didn’t do or somewhere I didn’t look? I knew because it was dark he could be off the mark, I did overextend my grid search but it wasn’t until the next morning when I saw where the high tide line was on the beach that changed everything.
When I got there the first day and looked for the high tide line and knowing it was a 14.74 high tide I was confident I was looking at the right line and started my search from there down. The next day I saw the high tide line I was working the day before and I saw my grid lines more than 20 feet down…Game changer! That told me the high tide ling wasn’t that high up, there was a seaweed line across the beach where the high tide was and I started my search from there and down and about 40 yards east out of my grid I found his ring!
Makes me so happy when I can find and continue these beautiful stories for people! The ring was close to a foot down and in a few days it may have been too deep to detect.

Vancouver Ring Finder Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP Anytime 778-838-3463 I have the best job in the world, I love helping people more than anything I’ve ever done in my lifetime. I get to make people smile, I get to hear their stories of what their ring/lost items mean to them and how happy it makes them feel when I find it.
Kathleen reached out to me 3 weeks ago after finding me in the Ring Finders Directory. She lives in the Fairmont section of Philadelphia with her husband Eric. She was quite stressed and anxious as she conveyed to me that her beautiful custom-made white gold diamond engagement ring had gone missing. Over the phone she did a great job explaining the details surrounding the lost ring….she keeps both her rings(diamond & band) in a bowl on the kitchen counter…the bowl is shared also by her and Eric’s car keys. They were moving both their cars in and out of driveway and garage so they could start their day. Next thing she knows her band is in the bowl…but no diamond ring! She and Eric turn the inside and outside of the house upside down looking for the ring figuring when one of them grabbed their keys from the bowl they accidently grabbed the ring too…or possibly the ring was stuck on one of the keys. After hours searching the kitchen, cars, stairs, outside steps, driveway and garage…No luck. So she calls me….I’m happy to talk to her and give her advice but I’m really thinking my metal detector really won’t help much because if the ring fell….it would most likely be on the floor, driveway, stairs or someplace that she would see without the aid of a metal detector. I always like to manage expectations and I do not like to ask someone for a call-out fee when it’s unlikely I’m going to be successful. She does mention this narrow garden bed that runs downward along their front stairs to the driveway. She tells me its a very small area with not a lot of plants/shrubs. I recommended that she thoroughly search the entire area again…including that garden bed just with her eyes and maybe a flashlight. I told her if she still wants me to come out she can call me back. 3 weeks later!!!!!….she calls me and says she would like me to come and search with my metal detector. I admire her refusal to give up!!!!
I got there today and met both Kathleen and Eric. As I arrived and was walking up the steps I saw the little garden bed she was talking about…a small area jammed solid with low junipers. No way I’m able to sweep my detector in that bed….happy I brought my 6-inch coil! I met them in the kitchen and she went through again the details of how the ring came up missing. I’m still thinking based on everything she tells me it’s either in one of the cars or on the driveway or stairs. We go outside and I quickly scan the driveway and garage area…no luck. I then start working my metal detector down the stairs in and out of the garden bed with the juniper shrubs. I’m pushing junipers up while shoving my detector underneath and sweeping my detector the best I can in the tight space. I was getting some signals on and off again from a cable that was running through the bed….but no signals suggestive of a gold ring. Eric and Kathleen were looking down on me from the top of the stairs. I found out later Eric had just suggested to his wife that they may have to accept the fact the ring is gone forever when I got an amazing signal from my machine…I was under a juniper shrub 3/4 of the way down the steps. I pushed the shrub out of the way…and was crazy surprised to see this beautiful white gold diamond ring sitting there amongst the leaves and roots. I took a closer look to make sure what I was seeing….when I was sure it was, in fact, a diamond ring I looked upward to Kathleen and Eric with a big smile and nodded my head yes. I think they were stunned and confused….So I nodded my head again indicating yes…I think I heard « no way…you found it? ». I then reached under the shrub picked up the ring and handed it to Kathleen. She screamed and ran into the house with it to share the news! I found out soon after that the ring was custom made with diamonds that were from generations past and the sentimental value of the ring was close to priceless to them. As a Ring FInder sometimes you go on a job and you expect a good result and recovery…I had my doubts about this one. Have to give Kathleen credit for never giving up! I was very happy over being able to reunite this nice couple with their beautiful ring!!!
