Ring found at Ocean Beach

Richard called me to say that he accidentally lost his wife Simone’s gold ring in the sand at Ocean Beach,  She had given him the ring so that she wouldn’t go into the ocean with it and lose it! Richard had it on his pinky when the unthinkable happened and it ended up in the dry sand. Never fear, The Ring Finders are here! I grabbed my gear, asked the wife to come along in case there wasn’t any parking, and headed out the door. Turns out there was plenty of parking, so, my wife and I went over and met Richard and Simone. We got the story and the approximate search area where I went to work. Not 30 seconds later, I get a nice solid 9 on my Equinox 800. Poked my TRX pin pointer into the sand and chased a signal for a few seconds until I cornered it and pulled a pretty little gold ring back into the sunlight. A relieved Richard and a happy Simone were now able to enjoy the rest of the day. A pleasure to meet you and thank you for the reward.

Lost Diamond Ring… Found in Marion, Iowa

I received an email from Erin about searching for her lost wedding ring in her backyard. It had come off her finger somewhere behind her patio in the backyard.

We made arrangements for me to come to her house after work. Her husband showed me the area.

I got my equipment together and found it in about 10 minutes. I wish they were all that easy!

Ring lost at Ski Beach Found

Joe was enjoying his visit to Ski Beach on Mission Bay, at least until he lost his platinum wedding ring. He had gone down the the water’s edge to rinse his hands. when he returned back to the fire ring area where they were camped, he shook his hands to remove the water, when his ring flew off. He and others tried in vain to find the ring in the dry sand, but, no luck doing that. I met Joe there the next morning and after a few bottle caps that were reading 13-15, I got an 11 reading on my Equinox that proved to be his ring. A happy Joe is now able to get that ring resized and continue it’s story. Nice to meet you Joe and thank you for the reward.

GOLD AND DIAMOND WEDDING RING LOST IN RANCHO CUCAMONGA FOUND AND RETURNED

Cal called me a couple of days ago and told me he had lost his wedding band at central park while having a water balloon fight with his friends and family. He was there on a picnic with the basketball team that he coaches.  I made arrangements to meet him early the next morning at the park to search for the ring.  I drove over to the park the next morning which only took about fifteen minutes to get to Rancho cucamonga. We met around 8:30 on sunday morning.  Cal explained to me where he dropped the ring in the grass while he was running trying to avoid a water balloon. I set up a grid and started to search. It was a fairly large area and I wasn’t having any luck for the first hour.  Cal and his wife Cheauna were getting a little discouraged and for good reason. There one year wedding anniversary was less than a week away and the ring was very sentimental to both of them. They were such a nice couple and I wasn,t about to give up so easy so I asked more questions about which way he was running and what trees he was zig zagging around .  So  I changed direction and grid searched from another  direction. I dug a few coins and had a few other false alarms and then boom, a nice solid signal. I bent down parted the grass and there it was , Cals  stunning ring about 7 inches down . I picked up the ring and handed it to Cal  He and his wife were ecstatic and very grateful.  The looks on there faces is the mane reason I love being a part of ringfinders. After a short chat they were on there way feeling whole again.

Lost Silver Ring At Jericho Beach…Found!

My wife and I gave a ride to a friend from work few weeks ago and we talked about TheRingFinders and how we help people find there lost jewellery…Flash back a couple of weeks and my wife meets Liz at a concert and they start talking and Beverly mentions TheRingFindersw and her friends expression tells her that she’s going to hear a story of a lost ring and so we begin!

The story was that she gave her boyfriend a nice silver ring 3 months ago and how he lost it a few days ago. They searched for hours but couldn’t find the ring and her boyfriend felt naked without his ring. We made a date to search for the ring and we picked Liz up and she showed us the area the ring was lost in, long grass and hard to find without a detector. Lost Gold Pendent Found in North Vancouver…

I got a call from a young man who lost a gold pendent, he told me that it was given to him by his father who was a fireman for 25 years and wore this pendent in over a 1000 calls. It was a gold firefighters helmet with the truck number inscribed on the front of the helmet and two dates on the underside. His father gave him the pendent when he retired and his son started in the same Fire Department and truck the day his father retired.

Needless to say it was very important to find this pendent and continue the story so one day his son could have it and know the history of these two great men that put their lives on the line to help others. So we discuss the search area and i start to detect and I’m getting nails and not much else. he shows me that he made a sifter and was checking for the ring but gave up. He dumped the sifter and guess what…It was in the dirt from the sifter! It’s funny where these irreplaceable items show up!

Lost Mans White Gold Wedding Band In Ocean City Maryland Found

On 08/11/18, I received a call from Jeff requesting my help in finding his lost White Gold Wedding Band on the beach at 98th street in Ocean City, Maryland. Jeff said that he and his family were at the beach when he took his wedding band off and gave it to his wife before going swimming. Jeff’s wife put his ring in the cup holder of her chair. Jeff said that when they got ready to leave the beach they forgot that the ring was in the cup holder, they folded up the chair and left the beach. Jeff said that they realized that his ring was gone only after they had left the beach. Jeff said that he believed that his ring had either fallen out of the cup holder when they folded up the chair or that at some point it had fallen through the bottom of the cup holder because it had a hole in it that they did not know about. Jeff said that he and his family had gone back home and that he was no longer on vacation in Ocean City. Jeff provided a good description of the area at the 98th street beach where he felt that his ring was lost in the sand. I told Jeff that I would search for his ring but that it would be few hours later because I was not currently at home. I responded to the beach later on Saturday evening and began a search for the ring. I spent several hours looking in the area for the ring with no luck. I even had a visitor tell that I was in the right area because he had seen people with flashlights looking for something in the same spot on Friday evening. After an extensive search of the area and not finding the ring I placed a call to Jeff to see if he could offer any new information. Upon talking with Jeff, he directed me to an area that was only a few feet north of my original search area. On my third sweep of the new search area I heard a solid tone in my headset and upon digging into the sand I located the lost ring. I called Jeff back and gave him the good news, Jeff asked me to mail his ring back to him which I did and Jeff was nice enough to send me a picture of him holding his recovered lost ring.

Rings lost at Mission Beach Found

Esther called me and asked for help finding her future sister-in-law Gerry’s engagement ring. Reason #2 again! Yup, ring put into beach chair pocket, chair folded up later when they left, and no ring by the time they got to the car. I get the particulars and find out it’s been two days since the loss. That’s an eternity on the blanket line at a popular beach, but, always worth a try. I met Esther at the beach and she directs me to the search area. Since she wasn’t with them when this all happened, I could only get a general idea of where it might be. Esther’s Brother-in-law and future husband of Gerry was on his way to help narrow the search area since he was there at the time of loss. I searched a bit in the mean time, but, only came up with a few coins. That was a good sign however, telling me that it was unlikely anyone else had detected that area lately. The beach groomer hadn’t been through there either, another thing in our favor. Hollis arrived and pointed out the area he believed they had been, and Oh, there were actually 5 rings that were lost! 1 white gold, and 4 silver, so, I’ll be digging just about all signals.

Naturally, there were other people camped right in that spot today! I started searching an open spot next to it while Esther and Hollis went to get permission to hunt under the people’s tent and around their camp. The people were nice enough to allow that, but, no ring came to light. I went back and continued to grid the open area while they tried to figure out where the next likely spot would be. After many passes and getting about 100 feet away from where the rings should be, I was just about to stop and move to search their path back to the car, and the trash cans where they stopped on the way, when I get another good « dime » signal. I scoop and sweep over the hole. Still a signal, so, I dump the sand and take another scoop. Hmmm, two rings in the scoop that look like the silver rings described by Hollis as being the other rings Gerry had lost. I called him over and he confirmed that those were two of them. I swept the hole again, but, nothing. Swept the sand I dumped out on my first scoop, and I get another signal. Yup silver ring number 3. Another sweep and silver #4. To heck with silver! Where’s the gold! Next scoop is where! A beautiful engagement ring comes to light. My first 5 ring recovery! Hollis and Esther are amazed and very happy to see those rings again, and Gerry was too when she was contacted with the good news. Ring lost at La Jolla shores Found

Alec and Liz were visiting here in San Diego and spent the day at the beach in La Jolla. Liz removed her special family heirloom gold ring that she got from her grandmother, and put it in her purse for safekeeping. Well, it must not be too good a place to stay safe as after they packed up and left the beach, they discovered it was not still in the purse. The good news was that it should be in the dry sand. The bad news was that I didn’t get contacted until a couple of days had passed, and the beach grooming machine had already gone through the area. Another possible minus was that it could be in a HUGE area. Not only where they were camped, but almost a half mile of beach they walked to get back to their car. Though I wouldn’t have given good odds on this recovery, I was more than willing to give it a go. Going by a few Google maps, I started at the parking lot at 8pm and walked the 1/2 mile to where they were camped, detecting along the supposed route. Nothing on the first pass. I get to the most likely spot where they had been for most of the day and started my grid. After many passes, I realized it was 9:30pm and that the parking lot would close at 10. I make another pass back to the parking lot without success, get my truck out of the lot, and drive north up to where I left off gridding. After another half hour or so, I get the signal I was hoping for. A good healthy scoop later and her precious ring was in my hand. A few days later, they made the trip back to San Diego and were reunited with the wayward circle. Now grandma’s ring story can continue!
