RJ and his friend were enjoying an evening of relaxing, watching TV and later in the evening he noticed his gold chain on the floor and his gold pendent had disappeared. This pendant is very special as it was gifted to him by his parents when he was 16 years old and he wears it ALL the time. They tried searching everywhere…inside and outside…for a couple of hours and that is when RJ went online to search for a metal detecting service for some professional help. It was a Sunday and Fathers Day to boot and we were just finishing up our lunch when he called. My dear wife and I made the drive and as we were driving up to the house we prayed that God would help us find RJ’s pendant and that we would be a blessing to him and his family. So after hearing RJ’s story I decided to search the outside grassy area first as the sky was getting dark and thunder was rumbling off in the distance. RJ had indicated a 30 foot area on the grass where they had spent some time and I set out my markers and cleared that area rather quickly and I then decided to expand another 30 feet radius and it didn’t take long and there laying in the gras, shining in the hot afternoon Florida sun was RJ’s lost gold pendant! RJ and his wife were ecstatic! We talked and visited for an hour or so and as we headed home we prayed again and thanked God for directing us and using us to help and bless RJ and his dear wife and kids!

Lost Kershaw pocket knife, Panama City Beach, Florida…found with a metal detector!

Mike and his wife were enjoying their week at a condo in north Florida and somehow he dropped his favorite knife in the sand and it just disappeared without a trace. For the next few days he tried looking for it but the soft sand seemed to have swallowed it up and he pretty much gave up hope of ever seeing it again. My wife and I arrived on Wednesday to spend a few days with friends and of course I had brought my metal detector along and the first evening of our stay I grabbed my metal detector and Xtreme scoop and wandered down onto the beach. I started detecting around the nightly fire pit and that is when Mike and Debbie approached me and Mike told me about his lost pocket knife. I assured him that I would definitely be on the lookout and would let him know if I happened to dig it up. Two hours later and quite a ways down the beach I got a signal that sounded more iron than non-ferros but I chose to investigate none the less and after kicking away a few inches of sand…there was a black pocket knife that had the brand name of Kershaw on the belt clip. That was the exact brand that Mike said he had lost and he could not believe it when I showed him my discovery! Mike’s wife said he carries his knife where ever he goes and has had that knife for many years. It is made right here in America and Mike is carrying it again today!
Again I thank the Lord for helping me find and return Mike’s knife and for giving me the opportunity to be a blessing and being able to meet such a kind and lovely couple!

How can I help you find what you have lost? Even items lost years ago can potentially be found today…if you know the location and the area has not been disturbed too much! Give me a call or call a ring finder near you!

Jonathan was enjoying a warm sunny day at New Smyrna Beach with his family and friends and as they packed up their things and were driving home he noticed that his white gold and platinum wedding ring was not on his finger. He thought back to when he last remembered having his ring and sometime during the day he recalled taking his ring off and either he « thought » he put it in his pocket or may have set it down on a towel…he was not exactly sure! Later he searched through his things and at one point he remembered throwing some items into the trash but for the life of him he could not recall exactly what happened. He found The Ring Finders online and gave me a call. So early the next morning we met at the beach and Jonathan showed me the exact area where he and his family had staked out their two canopy tents and he assured me that he spent most of his time sitting in the shade as he watched all the activity and commotion going on around him. So I began my grid search wide of the area thinking that his ring could have fallen anywhere in the general area. I dug up two small pieces of foil and then 5 minutes later I got a nice strong signal that I was sure had to be Jonathans lost ring. I called him over to watch as I slowly brushed the sand away and a small glimmer of gold revealed itself. Jonathan was thrilled to see his lost ring sitting there in the sand just waiting for him to pick it up and slip it back on his finger.

How I thank God for allowing me to be a help and blessing to Jonathan and the thrill never gets old when finding something that was lost and being able to reunite it again with it’s rightful owner!

Victor was doing some yard work, like planting some small trees and spreading new dirt and mulch. He spent most of the morning in the same spot and when he was all finished he noticed that his rose gold wedding ring was not on his finger any more. He was 95% sure he lost it in the dirt or mulch and he knew that it would take the rest of the day to go through all the dirt and mulch plus the area looked so nice and he just hated to tear it all up! So he looked on line and found theringfinders.com website and decided to give me a call. I am usually always available so I showed up at Victor’s home and within 5 minutes I dug a bottle cap and his lost wedding ring, which was down in the dirt a good 8 inches and rang up as an #80 on my Deus 2 metal detector! Victor was very relieved to have his lost wedding ring back and I was super thankful to be a blessing to him as well.

Mike’s Emergency Metal Detecting Service…just for you if you lost a ring or something precious to you.  Don’t wait until tomorrow…call or text me now at 321-363-6029 and let’s talk!

Mr Chester was planting some new plants in his front yard and using a post hole digger and other tools he managed to get the holes dug deep enough to hold some new soil and using his hands he began setting the first plant.  Only minutes into the planting process he felt his large gold ring slip off of his finger and he immediately picked it up, brushed it off and put it back on his finger…thinking that now he would be more careful.  Ten minutes later Mr Chester again noticed that his beautiful gold and diamond ring was not on his finger and this time he figured it had to be deep down in one of those holes he had just dug and filled.  Not wanting to totally pull up the plants and sift all the dirt, he got to thinking about other ways to locate his lost ring and that thought led him to search online for a « Ring Finder » and up popped theringfinders.com and one of my successful ring search and recovery stories.  He called me and we made plans to meet up at his place the following Saturday.  Mr Chester was 99% positive that he lost it in the dirt while planting so that is where I concentrated my efforts.  I recovered two small items of aluminum and the 3rd signal was strong and repeatable which proved to be Mr Chester’s lost gold ring!  It truly was an honor and privilege to meet Mr Chester and to be able to help him find what he thought he would never see again.

Engagement Ring Lost In A Pile Of Hay, In Shapleigh, Maine, Found With A Metal Detector

  • from Old Orchard Beach (Maine, United States)

On Friday morning, January 17, 2025, my phone rang but because of my recent knee surgery, I was unable to reach it quickly. When I did reach it, I had the following voicemail

“Yes, Hi Dennis, this is Nick ****** calling. I found your information on the Internet that you are able to find rings. Anyways, my sister has lost her ring, in the hay. My parents have a farm and I was wondering if that was something you’d be able to help us with If it is, if you wanna give me a call back 207-***-****, thank you very much…”

I immediately called Nick back and he explained that the previous night, his sister, Rebecca , had gone out, to feed the cows, at the farm, in Shapleigh Maine. After throwing a bunch of hay down, in front of the cows, Rebecca had noticed her Engagement Ring was missing. It was extremely cold and she thinks her fingers had shrunk, just enough, that the ring came off. I was a little concerned that the cows had already eaten the ring or the ring was lost, somewhere else, on the property. Nick said his sister wasn’t positive about the exact location, the ring was lost in but that the hay, would be the first place to search. They had all visually searched the area, last night, but the ring was not found. The search would expand to other areas, if not found in the hay.
I also let Nick know that I would be unable to personally search, because my left knee was replaced 10 days ago and it just isn’t healed or ready to get back out there, just yet. I told Nick that I have a friend, Gary Hill, that goes out and searches for me, when I am unable. I immediately called Gary and he said he would head right out, to the farm, in Shapliegh, Maine, from his home, in Hollis Center, Maine.

Gary arrived in Shapliegh, at 9:20am. Once shown the cow feeding area, and hay on the barn floor, Gary saw just how difficult this search could end up being. There was a lot of metal, all over the barn, which may interfere, with the Emergency Metal Detecting Search. Gary got to work. Steve, Rebecca’s husband was there to help Gary, by using a pitchfork, to remove some hay, as Gary searched with his metal detector. The hay was quite high and when Gary searched an area, Steve would then remove a foot or two, of the searched hay, exposing new hay below, for Gary to search. Because of all the metal, in the barn, Gary had to use his small 8” coil, so as not to pick up as much iron targets, keeping the White Gold Ring, isolated and given a better signal. After approximately 40 minutes of Steve taking layers of hay off the pile, Gary received a very promising 16-17 on his Minelab Manticore’s, VDI screen. Definitely in the gold range and certainly not a nail. As Gary searched through the pile of hay, with his pinpointer, he saw the ring, at the bottom of the pile of hay. Gary was extremely relieved the cows hadn’t eaten the ring and now Gary wouldn’t have to check the cows dung. A great day indeed.
Steve was extremely happy that his wife’s engagement ring had been found, as was Nick. What they all thought would be an extreme long shot to find, ended up with smiles on everyone’s faces.
The Ring Finders of Maine, take great pride, in being able to get to a local as soon as possible. Today is another example of me getting a call at approximately 8:10am, calling Gary and Gary arriving on scene, in just over an hour, at 9:20am. This includes the drive, out to the farm, in Shapliegh.
This was literally a ring in a haystack and thankfully, Gary was able to make the recovery. There is no better feeling, than to be able to quickly help people like Rebecca, Steve and Nick. It is also a great feeling knowing that Gary has my back, when I am unable to search. Thank you Gary, from all of us!👏👏👏

As the weather cools here in sunny Florida, it seems like even the critters are looking for ways to stay warm and as Sean attempted to chase an insect out of his front door and into his front yard, he felt his gold wedding ring slip off of his finger and in a second it just disappeared.  He just knew it couldn’t have gone too far but the more he searched the more he realized he needed a metal detector.  His first attempt at renting and using a cheap detector proved more frustrating than helpful and all he was left with were holes in the grass and a bill for the rental.  And then he came across theringfinders.com web site and after reading a few of my recovery stories he decided to give me a call.  The next day I met Sean and he explained what happened while showing me the exact area he was standing when he lost his wedding ring.  I set up my Deus 2 metal detector and began my first sweep along the driveway and as I returned up towards the front door I got a clear medium tone just behind a small Christmas sign decoration and as I probed with my pin pointer I could barely make out Sean’s lost gold wedding ring.  Sean could not believe it was there…so close…yet so well hidden in the fading winter grass.

Keys and key fob lost in Lake Virginia, Florida…found with strong magnet by Ring Finder Mike McInroe!

Elizabeth was relaxing on a dock on Lake Virginia just behind a local college and as she went to pull her water bottle out of her bag it somehow hooked her key fob and it went sailing into the water.  Of course Elizabeth was shocked and determined to retrieve them as soon as possible, especially since it was only a few feet deep she figured she could jump in and feel around with her feet.  But the pondweeds were very thick and made it difficult to feel anything on the bottom.  So her next thought was that maybe she could rent a water proof metal detector and find her lost keys that way and that search led her to theringfinders.com web site where she found my number and decided to call.  I assured Elizabeth that there was a very, very good chance to find and retrieve her lost keys and fob and a few hours later we met.  I determined to try my large Magnetar magnet first and if that method did not work then I would put on my wetsuit and use my waterproof Garrett ATMax metal detector and find it that way.  Thankfully it only took 10 minutes with my large magnet and Elizabeth was super thankful for this unique and unusual service called, « The Ring Finders »!

Erick wanted to help the folks at a local RV park in Astatula, Florida where a large tree had fallen across a narrow canal that was blocking access to Little Lake Harris.  The large oak tree had been dragged close to the shore which allowed Erick to use a rented chain say and after hours of intense labor, all that was left was the thick three foot section of the trunk in two and a half feet of water.  Erick’s daughter had been videoing the whole process and at the last few minutes of recording, Erick’s hands were very wet and sore and he went to shake the water off of his left hand and that action sent his beautiful wedding ring into the water just a few feet from where he was standing.

This is not the first call I have had from Erick to help him find his lost wedding ring!  On this occasion as soon as his ring hit the water he said, « I need to call Mike! »   It was late in the day and as I talked to Erick I could hear the panic and desperation in his voice.  So under an absolutely beautiful full moon I arrived at the location all geared up with wet suit, scuba boots and my trusty Garrett AT Max metal detector and waded into the cool dark water and began my search.  It took a few minutes and then I remembered Erick saying that his daughter had recorded the whole ordeal!  As soon as I saw the video and located the one lonely lily pad right next to where his ring hit the water….it look only seconds and my metal detector beeped loudly, indicating a shallow, strong, gold signal!

Erick was overcome with sentimental emotion and the bear hug that I received was evident how much his wedding ring meant to him and how much he loves his beautiful wife of 20 years!
