Early morning brought an urgent text from Jason, seeking aid in the search for his lost wedding ring near the north side of the Ventura Pier. With summer break granting me the freedom to assist, I swiftly arranged to meet him at the swings within half an hour.

Upon arrival, Jason recounted the unfortunate tale of his ring’s disappearance. During a seaside outing with his young son, he had removed his ring to apply sunscreen, placing it on his son’s shirt. In a twist of fate, a squadron of seagulls, hungry for a snack, swooped down and snatched the shirt—with the ring still attached—before soaring off into the sky. Amidst the chaos, panic ensued, and the search was abruptly halted to tend to his unsettled son.

With a determined spirit, we identified a probable search area and delineated a 20’x20′ grid in the sand. Armed with my trusty Equinox metal detector, I commenced the hunt. Within moments, a clear signal reverberated through the air, guiding me to the elusive treasure buried beneath the sand. With a deft scoop, Jason’s rose gold wedding ring emerged, casting a radiant gleam in the morning light.

Ring lost at Mission Beach found

Eric realized he shouldn’t play around in the sand with his wedding ring on, so, he thought it wiser to take it off and let someone else hold on to it until he was done. Little did he know that the person he handed it to would be the one to lose it in the sand. They knew approximately where it should be, but, sifting through the sand with their fingers and even borrowing a metal detector from the lifeguards didn’t help bring it to light. Off to the internet and a hit on TheRingFinders.com website. A quick look at the map and my name is listed for Mission Beach. I get the call about 8:15pm and arrange to meet Eric at 8:45pm at the site. We meet and I get the low down on how/where it was lost and what we’re looking for. On my first pass and only a couple of minutes later, I get a promising signal. Yup, it’s what we’re looking for. Both Eric and his friend are happy and relieved to get the ring back. Pleasure to meet you both and thank you for the reward.

Lost ring at Pacific Beach found

Matt called TheRingFinders for help getting his wedding ring back. Seems he was playing ball out in the waves with a friend when, while catching the ball, it smacked his hand sending his gold wedding band flying into the surf. The bad news…..it was at low tide…..the good news…..it was only knee to thigh deep, and since he called both myself and fellow ring finder member Tony Eisenhower, who brought his grandson, we had a team to help in the search.

We met Matt at the appointed time and place so he could show us the search area. The good news……thankfully he took some reference points to help narrow it down a bit……the bad news……fairly rough surf and quite a bit of kelp to tangle us. Out we went, Tony and me using our new Equinox 800’s and Tony’s grandson with the trusty Excalibur. After about 20-30 minutes and no signals, guess who finally gets a good sound? Yup, the grandson, showing us both up! Tony came over, scooped the nice sound, and success, Matt’s ring is back in the sunshine. Now Matt can head home to MN without having to come up with an explanation to his wife on how he lost his ring here in San Diego. A pleasure to meet you Matt, and thank you for the generous reward.

Lost Mens Tungsten Carbide Wedding Band Found At Cape Henlopen State Park In Lewes, Delaware

On 05/14/18, I received a text message as well as an email from Adam regarding the loss of his Tungsten Carbide Mens Wedding Band At Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, Delaware. Adam said that he had been camping over the weekend with his cub scout pack at the State Park and on Saturday 05/12/18 he had lost his wedding band. Adam said that he had been sitting when he took his ring off and placed it in his lap. Adam said that he stood up forgetting that his ring was in his lap and that it was lost in the sand. Adam also sent me a detailed map of the area of the lost ring. I called Adam at which time I told him that I would look for his ring for him and would let him know if I was able to locate it. I then responded to the location of the lost ring and began a grid search for it. After about five minutes of searching Adams lost ring was located and recovered. I took a picture of the ring in the sand and sent it to Adam by text. I asked Adam if the ring looked familiar he said « yes » and identified it as his lost ring. I then mailed the ring back to Adam which he received about a day later. Below is an email sent to me by Adam the day after he had gotten his ring safely returned.

Hi Alan,

I can’t thank you enough for finding my wedding ring. I thought I would never see it again when I left Cape Henlopen on Sunday. When I got to work on Monday I felt I needed to at least make a call to the park office and report I lost it, not that I expected anyone to ever find it, let alone turn it in. I can’t remember the exact search terms I used when I was searching for the park office website, but I came across one of your posts on theringfinders.com. After reading through a few more posts I felt there was a pretty good chance you could find it, if no one else had stumbled upon it in the meantime. An email, a text message, a phone call and a few hours later you found my ring. I thought, wow, that was too easy. Well, you are obviously good at what you do and I wish I had known about the website sooner. I will be sure to share my experience and promote the website, a true « ring » saver!

Lost White Gold Ring Found!! In Post Falls Idaho

Today was a day of metal detecting for me. I started off by diving in a lake looking for a wedding ring lost 2 years ago to which I didn’t find. After coming home and cleaning up my gear I wrote a lady back who asked if I would travel to Post Falls, Idaho for a ring search. After dinner my Family and I went to a newly discovered park near our house to play. I was swinging my Whites detector around the playground when Charlayne, the lady who wrote me from Post Falls, called. I asked a few questions and found out that she had lost her ring in the front yard or the back after placing it in her pocket with a hole at the bottom. She also told me that she had rented a metal detector and raked both yards with no luck. I said I would be right over. My family and I drove 32 minutes to reach her house. After putting on my gear and seeing a picture of the ring Charlayne left me to my work. Which was a short job. I made my way from the front steps to the mail box like Charlayne said she had done and found a small foil wrapping under a fresh dug hole. So I made a second pass on the other side back to the steps and then back down for a third pass. I was about half way to the mail box when WHAM!! A solid 13-14 vdi at depth of 0 inches rang up and my pinpointer showed me why well cared for grass hides rings the best. After taking a picture of the ring hidden in the grass I smiled at my wife who was watching me from the car. I then headed to the back of the house to find Charlayne, her face went from worried anticipation to fourth of July fire work happy. After I showed her the spot where her ring had fallen out of the hole in her pocket and hid from her for a week; we said our goodbyes and took her advice to have some ice cream at Rogers. Lost rings found in Franklin MA

On Mother’s Day, I received a call from Brigid, an upset mother who had lost both her diamond and wedding rings.  They were lost a day earlier while she was doing yard work.  The next day I went to Brigid’s home to search for both rings.  She described how she had been clearing brush and weeds, and lost the rings while piling up the refuse.  After an hour of searching the yard, I located her wedding ring.  It took an additional hour and a half to locate the diamond ring.  Brigid described the recovery as « amazing ».

Lost Gold Wedding Band Vancouver, BC…Found

Yesterday I was on a water hunt that started in February but I had to put it aside for warmer water. Well the temperature was perfect and the water was warm but after 4 1/2 hours in the stinky the beaver pond  I sadly had no success. I put in a total of 7 1/2 hours in a relatively small area but with some difficulties. The only thing I could guess was that the ring didn’t go in the water where he thought it did…? It happens, I don’t always have success but with that said I received a call while I was wrapping up the search from a young man that needed help finding his lost wedding band at a playground.

I headed out to the park and got there before him, I started my search and within 15 minutes I found his ring!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He was extremely lucky that no one found it before us, he had lost it the day before and the following day was a hot one and lots of people at the playground even when I got there around 8pm.

The ring was found in front of the slide and visible to the eye, the good thing was that the wood chips helped camouflage the gold ring.

Sentimental Ring Recovered Huntington Beach , CA

I was metal detecting with my brand new detector for the very first time, looking for some treasure. I found a 1958 Wheat Penny and soon after I was approached by Karen who asked if I could help find her lost ring. I explained to her that I belong to The Ring Finders and would be glad to help her. She told me she was visiting from Mexico and her Mother had given her the Ring. We walked to the area where the Ring went missing and I began my search. My confidence was high even though I was using a new detector because she seemed very sure where she had lost it. I found her Ring in about 10 minutes, Karen was very happy to have the Ring her Mother gave her back in her possession.

Lost gold ring, Orlando, Florida….Found and returned!

Mark and his dear wife were in the middle of packing up their belongings for the big move and he could not stop thinking about the special gold ring he lost in the yard over 20 years ago. This unique ring was a gift to Mark from his late father, who hand crafted the ring from gold he collected as a dental technician. One day while washing his hands off in the yard he realized his ring must have fallen into the thick grass. Mark desperately looked around the spigot and along the short path he had taken from the garage, but could not find his lost gold ring. Years passed and Mark sort of gave up hope of ever getting his ring back and then the day came for him to sell his house and move to another location. As the moving day got closer, Mark toyed with the thought of renting a metal detector to look for his ring and that led him to one of my stories on theringfinders.com web site. Mark was intrigued with all the success stories and decided to give me a call. We made arrangements for Friday and I showed up ready for the challenge. Mark showed me the small area where he thought the ring was lost and I fired up my Garrett ATMax, set it to ZERO mode, ground balanced and put on just a little iron discrimination. (Mark was not real sure of the gold content of the ring and I did not want to miss being able to detect it.) I looked around the water spigot and gradually made my way out into the super thick St. Augustine grass! I dug a couple of pennies down four inches or so and 10 minutes into my search I got a solid signal that showed « 50 » on the display. Mark had watched me carefully dig the pennies with my 10 inch pointed screw driver and on this target he was ready with his shovel, assuring me he could pop out a nice big plug in no time. What could I say, it was his lawn! As I laid the big plug on it’s side I poked my trusty Garrett pro pointer into the dirt and it sounded off a good 8 inches down in the hole. And as I brushed the dirt from the target, a glint of gold showed itself and low and behold there was Mark’s long lost ring!! You talk about one happy camper! He gave me a big hug and then ran into the house to show his wife the ring and then he ran to the neighbors house to show them. What a thrill it was to dig up Mark’s ring and to see the sheer joy and happiness on his face. Maybe you have lost a ring and want me to try and find it for you! I would be honored to help! Lost Wedding Ring Victoria, B.C. Recovered

Francis was gardening Saturday the 21st of April 2018 and while on a high bluff she took off her gloves and in doing so launched her white gold and diamonds wedding ring down the bluff into the deep vegetation below.

On the 23rd Francis found us on the internet and contacted me. I arranged to meet at her house and do a search.

With my trusty MXT and a pin pointer I started up the slope and within 15 minutes I had a major hit.

OMG this is one awesome ring and it looks great back where it belongs.  Francis said “a lesson here is not to wear your rings gardening “
