…Kayla  was enjoying a beach party at “T Street Beach”, San Clemente, CA. when she lost her diamond engagement ring in the sand. She was recently engaged and wanted  to show off her beautiful new ring to her friends.

Normally, she would not wear jewelry to the beach. This time was an exception because she would only be sitting on the beach, promising herself to be very careful with her new ring.

She was standing next to the refreshment table when someone unexpectedly tossed her a volleyball. She caught the ball and threw it back to the person. Her new engagement ring went flying off her finger into the sand.

After two hours with a dozen people trying to find the ring, she called me for help. I was on the beach after driving 20 miles a half hour before sunset. It did take awhile to find the ring, because it had landed in a place where there had been an old firepit, littered with nails and aluminum trash. One of the obstacles that interfere with metal detectors is trash metal. One reason to call an experienced metal detector professional. Also it does help to know the general area of the loss. Kayla did her part by marking the spot she was standing when her ring flew off her finger. Lost Gold Arabic Design Wedding Band at Ulua Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

This ring find began on 2 November when I got a message asking « How much do you charge to locate a ring? »  from Jose who is in the Army stationed on Oahu.  It’s reward based and that’s always up to the customer.  Since the lagoons were rough and with high tides along with a three day coin show that weekend I told Jose I would hunt Veteran’s Day early morning.  He sent me some excellent photos of the area to hunt.  Since I start on the left side of a grid normally and work to the right it actually took an hour and a half to recover the ring as it was on the extreme right side of the grid as I was begining to think this was going to be a fail.  Jose swung by this evening to pick up his ring.  Smiling & Freed from the dog house!  Aloha to Jose!

I received  a call from Stuart this afternoon asking if I would be able to help him locate his wedding ring that flew off his hand while he was brushing snow from his hands, the ring flew onto his front lawn.

He and his wife Ali searched the area but could not find the ring. I saw the area that they cleared so the ring had to be a further ahead or to the back of them. I found the ring about 8 inches away from where Ali had cleared the snow.

Gold Wedding Band Lost While Chopping Fire Wood Queen Alexandra Neighbourhood Edmonton Alberta.

I recieved a call from Owen last night requesting my service to locate his lost wedding ring in the back yard of his house. After asking Owen a few questions I agreed to help him find his ring the next day.

I meet up with Owen and his wife Hershey and they showed me the area where Owen had been chopping fire wood.  I could see where they had raked the snow off the ground,  They had been searching on their hands and knees looking for the ring until it got to dark when Hershey turned to the internet and searched for a metal detector. Up came TheRingfinders web page so she searched the Directory and found Me! The rest is history.

Large, beautiful 14K ring found!

While haying and caring for her horses her ring came off her finger, unfortunately she wasn’t sure where it was lost as she had done several activities prior to the loss. Three hours after haying she realized her beautiful 14K ring was missing. After a short search the ring was found just under a fence where her horses are boarded. I appreciate you calling us to return your ring, when I saw the picture prior to the hunt I knew it was irreplaceable! Thank you!

… I received a call from Zachary , who lost his platinum ring while he was at an engagement beach party in Newport Beach, CA. It was a large party with over 100 people attending. They were set up for a whole day on the beach with several shade canopies and umbrellas. Also many towels and beach chairs set up for the event.

I was a bit concerned that he wasn’t sure where the ring came off his finger and so many people were still here at the general area of the loss, which would make it difficult to do a proper grid search. Also, I felt walking through the group of party goers might interfere with the celebration.

I told Zachary that it would be no problem to come back after the party is over. That was the plan, except while I was here, we decided to scan a couple easy to detect areas that he suspected the ring might be.

After pulling out my detector, I got all kinds of attention from many of the people at the party. At the second spot he directed me only 10 ft.x 10ft. square. I got the unique sound of a platinum wedding band.  Boom !! Successful recovery almost before anybody knew I was searching for a lost ring.

I can head out and help you recover your last item.  In the case above, it was both I was called out to the Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne, where he lost his ring while playing volleyball in the water. By the time he called me, it was nighttime, and there was a light drizzle. He was leaving the next morning, and the ring had to be found before he left.  So I gridded the whole area after about an hour I was able to find it.  He and his friends were shock and so thankful.

Lost Cartier bracelet on Miami Beach

Lost Gold Wedding Band at Nai’a Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a text from Emanuel on vacation from Portland, Oregon saying, « My wife lost her wedding band on Sunday while swimming in the lagoon number 3.  She was swimming in chest deep water along the shore.  We agreed to meet Friday afternoon as their schedule was busy and the surf was freakishly up in the lagoons.  When I arrived Emanuel showed me the swim route and I began my grid search.  It was quite a large area and about 45 minutes into the hunt in belly deep water the Manticore found the yellow gold wedding band.  They were waiting in chairs on the beach and I waved that I found Viorica’s ring.  Emanual said, « God bless you!  You really made our day. »  Big smiles all around.  Aloha to Viorica & Emanuel!
